Wooden Heart Kitchen: Burrata Salad minus the Burrata and Sopressato
    Chiemi N.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of Wooden Heart Kitchen was nice. Since it was a nice day we requested to sit outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A group of friends and I went wine tasting in the area. We went to one winery and decided to get lunch before heading to the next one. I voted for Wooden Heart because I saw interesting salads that I thought could be veganized. There were vegetarian items on the menu. Our group consisted of 1 vegan, 1 vegetarian and 2 omnivores. I get the deciding factor, mostly because it's harder to find vegan items on the menu. I ordered the Burrata Salad, though I had no idea what Burrata meant. I ordered it because I saw that there were artichoke hearts in the salad. Something called sopressato was in the salad, and I had to ask what that was. Good thing I did because it was something like salami. I mentioned being vegan. Not sure if he heard me, or maybe he doesn't know the difference between vegan or vegetarian, but I didn't know what burrata meant, and I forgot to ask about it. I got the sopressato on the side for the meat eaters. When my salad came, it had a white ball on top, I asked what it was and they said the Burrata. I took it off and placed it on the plate with the sopressato. Other than that, the salad was good. My veggie friend got the Margherita pizza and shared it with an Omni friend. They both enjoyed that. The other Omni friend enjoyed his meal.

Just went here last Saturday for dinner. The wood fired carrots are a showstopper. They were so delicious with the whipped feta cream and hazelnuts. They have a hearth pizza oven so we had to get a pizza too. The pizzas are quite large. I was really stuffed sharing one. We had the Foraged vegetarian one with mushrooms, spinach, cheese, and onions. It was really lovely too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the food and ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanted dessert, but I was too full.

I'm currently in town for work and after a long travel day, I was looking for something quick, fresh, and not overly heavy- this spot turned out to be exactly what I needed. I went with the Burrata salad with a vinaigrette dressing, and it wasdelicious. The burrata was creamy and rich, the greens were crisp and fresh, and the vinaigrette added the perfect brightness without overpowering anything. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality and well-prepared. The service was friendly and efficient -- I felt welcomed right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the space itself is beautifully decorated, with a relaxed but modern vibe that makes it a great place to unwind for a bit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, a great lunch and definitely a place I'd return to next time I'm in the area.

I'm not sure what to say at this point. Our first visit was wonderful. Super friendly and very attentive service. We ordered a variety of items to share and everything was excellent. We had a great time. We returned a few weeks later with some other friends because we had raved about the pizza. The service again was friendly but the pizzas weren't as good as the first time. The burrata pizza, which we had loved, had so much garlic on it that it was almost inedible. The other pizzas weren't bad, but nothing particularly special. The last time was a real disappointment. We felt like our presence was barely tolerated and that the server was being fake-friendly to us. The food wasn't good. The fish and chips was rubbery and inedible. The cole slaw was just cabbage drowning in vinegar, which ran all over the fries, rendering them soggy. The drinks weren't prepared correctly either and were missing ingredients. If that had been our first visit, we would never have returned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself is very cute, warm, welcoming and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm wondering if the server we had the last time is the same individual other people have mentioned in their reviews in which they received sub-standard service. Anyway, we'll give them one more chance in a month or so and see how it goes.

What a fabulous evening!! My daughter had her rehearsal and later hosted a dinner afterwards here! They were very welcoming to our large group (we had made reservations obviously- a group of 16!) We all had a nice long area for all- the service was efficient, friendly and prompt with our meals as well!! The meals were all beautifully prepared and I did not hear one complaint about anything!! That in itself is worth writing about! Great pizzas, salad, and pasta dishes- even the picky kids ate all of their meals- so, obviously it's 5 stars!!! Kudos!! We will be back when visiting the PNW!!

Excellent wood fired pizza. Farm to Table Great wine selection. Best part of the meal was our adorable waitress, Lex!

Discovered this gem while staying at The Dundee Hotel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is charming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service was excellent. I ordered the veggie pasta with chicken--it was absolutely delicious! Creamy, flavorful, with perfectly caramelized onions. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Really don't know what their value out is there? And one final comment for our waitress, I don't want to know you have Calvin Klein underwear on, please wear a shirt that covers up your stomach or some pants that aren't low hip hugging. Dropping $100 at a place to stare at someone's underwear band while you're ordering isn't very appetizing.

Inside, they have a small shop area featuring locally made goodies: honey, cheeses, cured meats, wines, and other treats. You order at the walk-up counter where the menu includes freshly made sandwiches, soups, chilis, salads, and other local favorites. Everything is made to order and comes out quickly. I ordered the Dundee Grinder, and it was absolutely fantastic, packed with flavor and definitely not stingy on the ingredients. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and freshness of the food. The staff was kind, helpful, and efficient, which made the whole experience even better. There are a few tables inside and a lovely outdoor patio in the back with a fireplace and a rain cover, perfect for enjoying your meal no matter the weather. Every little detail here, from the food to the ambiance, feels so thoughtful and welcoming. If you're in the Dundee area or wine tasting nearby, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be recommending it to anyone heading this way!

The appetizers were delicious and fed a large party without us having to order multiples of each dish. For an entree, I had the pork, which I felt was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor. One of the things I found oddest about the evening was the hours of the restaurant. We dined here on a Saturday night at 7:30 - immediately after we were sat we were told we needed to order promptly because the kitchen closes at 8:00. I still don't quite understand why you would allow reservations so close to a kitchen's closing time. It ended up making the meal feel a bit rushed and lackluster. Overall, it was a perfectly adequate meal but I'm not sure I would need to stop in here again.
