I was in the area for a family event and we landed here because they allow pets on the patio. It was our first time in the area and at this restaurant. I am told...They had great alcoholic beverages (said half of our party-not everyone had alcohol). The food was mixed reviews. 1) steak bites were delicious. Blue cheese butter is thebomb.com. 2) everything else was sub par. Burger was supposed to be med-rare, came out well done/jerky. Pizza was raw dough, not melted cheese and they pulled it "because the sides were burning." They could have put foil around it and actually cooked it. OR recommend we stick with regular pizza dough when we confirmed we don't have an allergy but was wanting a "lighter" low carb pizza. They also had an anecdote of another customer who ordered the cauli pizza but served them regular dough and it was a true food allergy and a problematic experience for the customer (??? Why would you choose to share that? lol). Tbh a nuked hot pocket will cook the cheese better than our pizza was. Salads were ok. Nothing to rave about. Desserts were ok I'm told. Didn't have any myself. I was done at that point. Service needs improvement. Not just weird PTSD patronage stories shared, but I felt bad dragging family out to the area so I tried paying without them knowing, slipping the credit card toward the waitress without everyone at the table noticing. And she knocked the card out of my hand when reaching for plates, announcing that "your credit card fell." I don't care if it was my bday or not I wasn't going to make my family pay for this meal. I would not come back and I don't recommend it. For everything it was ~$160 +40 tip which I feel salty about giving considering the quality of our meal and service. I'm a good tipper regardless of experience because it's the right thing to do/pay it forward, etc. but I was pissed driving home lol for $200 I could have picked up steak and lobster and cooked at home. read more

A grilled cheese shouldn't be difficult. We were the *only* guests in the whole restaurant, and it still took more than 20 minutes for a sandwich and mac & cheese. And when is arrived, it was completely burnt. (This was the less burnt half) The server was kind and offered see if they could re-make it, but we weren't excited to wait another 20+ minutes. At the end of the meal, we were offered a free dessert or a credit for our next visit. We declined, and the item was taken off the bill. (We still added the full amount back into her tip, because we aren't asking for a handout - the meal still cost them something) Hoping these items can be addressed and others will have a better experience than we did. read more

We stopped here after an afternoon of wine tasting. They are pet friendly, and as crazy as this sounds, that includes cats. My friend brings her two British Shorthairs everywhere, so this narrowed down our choice for a meal. The owners treated us with smiles and pets for the cats, clearly remembering them from a prior visit. The other diners were quite fascinated and also gave the kitties lots of attention. Since we had a charcuterie board at the winery, we ordered simple appetizers and burgers. Next time I'll get the burger which was quite good; my steak bites were cooked past well done and I just couldn't eat them. The sweet potato fries were excellent. Menu is typical pub fae: burgers, fries, sandwiches, mac&cheese, pizza, steak, wings. Located right on Main Street, the restaurant is on second floor. They sure know how to "present" their dishes. That added a little touch that made it so pleasing. For breakfast I ordered deviled eggs from the sharable menu. Best ever! The eggs were soaked Pinot wine and beets which gave it a pinkish color. Then it was topped with mustard seeds and pickled watermelon rind. The blending of these foods was amazing. And yes I did have this for breakfast with their rosemary potatoes. Service was over the top and very comfortable setting. read more

Wow! I told my wife let's find another place for lunch due to the low score here (3.3 on 7/17/25) but she doesn't usually believe the scores. Once again, my Better Half was right! The third floor space and ambience was great. All three employees we encountered were very cheerful and professional. And the food was as good as we'd expect anywhere. We both had house salads and they were extremely fresh. My wife added salmon on hers and was very happy about that. I'm a sucker for sweet potato fries and they were some of the best I've ever had. (My wife usually doesn't like them but she stole some!). Oh, and my wife ordered a French 75 cocktail and it's the best one she's ever had. We will definitely come back! A couple of people recommended this restaurant so I had high hopes. The atmosphere and view are great. The menu was OK. I chose the Grille Burger, and as they had mashed potatoes on the menu, I asked if they could do that for the side. I was pleased they offered a gluten free bun. But that's where the fun kind of ended. The burger was average to mediocre. Nothing that special. The bun fell apart halfway through. The mashed potatoes were the smallest, thinnest, most flavorless potatoes ever. The glass of wine was fine. Service was OK. Efficient and prompt, but not that friendly. Walked out feeling disappointed and wishing I'd chosen a different restaurant, with as many choices as there are in McMinnville. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I wouldn't try again. read more

Beautiful rooftop seating! With a lot of delicious sounding options, I didn't know what to order. I finally settled on the Mac and cheese, and it was delicious, so rich I couldn't finish the last bites. The clam chowder is very seasoned, which makes it a little spicy-not my jam but others might like it. read more

We have been here several times over the years. The service is always great. The general manager is always walking around checking in with the guests. Everyone is great. It gets busy and crowded and loud during peak times. But in good weather the outside is wonderful. The food is usually on point. We used to get the bread but the last 2 visits it was different, dry and dense. The cheesy bread and shrimp skewers are bomb. The house salad is one of my favorites. The sandwich selections is minimal. They used to have a BLT that I miss dearly. They also kept their meltdown sandwich on the menu for a while, but sadly it was taken off. My go to is the Cubano pizza, it's one of my favorites, their pizza dough is so good, a little salty in the best way. My husband tried the ribeye tonight. He ordered it medium and it came out well done. But it was flavorful and juicy anyway. We have ordered a Long Island iced tea twice and both times they were not good. read more

SOLID 5 stars for great service, best we've had in McMinnville since COVID. 3.5 stars for a decent enough burger (Bacon, Mushroom, Blue Cheese). But NO stars, zero, for soggy fish and chips, and bad coleslaw - this is my go-to pub food so its so disappointing! Decent draft beer menu brings the average up around 3 stars. read more

We got the cheese bread appetizer and it was a whole pizza. Don't get it if you're not super hungry! It was very filling and paired with our entrees, we were taking home some left overs. The views of the restaurant are great, being on the top floor and getting a view of McMinnville is really cool. However, the food was really nothing special. My boyfriend got the lasagna and he said it was very bland. My chicken wrap most likely had prepackaged chicken, as it was really dry and lacked flavor. The location has so much to offer including having rooftop/outdoor seating and being right next to an amazing wine tasting room. Given the experience we had at the tasting room I was pretty disappointed with 1882 overall. Tables were sticky, the music way too loud, and the food not worth the price. I'll start with what was good - the Cuban pizza. The crust was fresh and tasty and the toppings had great flavor. However, the rest of the meal was pretty hard to eat. The Teres Major steak was basically burnt, dry and lacked flavor. The veggies it came with were doused in oil and made them inedible. Same with the mashed potatoes - oily. Can't say I'd go back after this experience unless it's to go get pizza which seems a safe option. read more

This is the perfect sunny day spot. They have a large outdoor patio that offers a choice of sunny or shady spots. My friend and I shared a salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us.  My only gripe is our server was not the friendliest. Not sure if she was having an off day, or she knew that because we were sharing our lunch with no drinks, that she thought it would be a small bill, with little tip. The service and people are amazing! Everyone was so nice and the owner sat down with us and told us all about his own whiskey he is working on. They had just moved upstairs and the bar seemed a bit disorganized. It too three tries to find the whiskey I wanted in stock. Food was OK. We were really wanting a steak. So disappointing. We came here in July for my husband's birthday. The food was mediocre. I ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese. It was definitely not. I would describe it as a creamy buffalo penne pasta. Not Mac n cheese. The cheese bread with marinara was really good. Probably the best thing we got. When we got there it was warm inside. Almost uncomfortable but not until the food got there we all started sweating. The manager even admitted the thought about not opening because of the heat. This spot is ok. I've been here a few times as a convenient meet up spot for a family group. Service is always very good; I just wish the menu options and food matched that. I read every single menu description - I really did! - and just could not find something I'd like. A grill-like spot should have more than two sandwich or salad options. A club sandwich or French dip is always a safe bet in these situations, but they don't have them (there's a salmon club on the menu, but tartar sauce and bacon do not belong with salmon). 5/7 members of our group ordered fish and chips. I've never seen a single one of these folks eat this before, so that gives you an idea of the limitations. I ended up with an uninspired but decent Cobb salad with the tiniest shot glass of dressing. I don't even use much dressing but had to use the malt vinegar to supplement. If you've seen a McMinnamin's menu, you've seen this one. Several burger and pizza options, but so many inviting spots in downtown, I'd rather explore something more interesting. read more
