This is a five star dive bar in my book. Enter the bar around back? Check! Great bartender? Check! Local beer on tap? Check! Pool tables? Check! A crowd of 10 or less on a Saturday night? Check! Karaoke blaring on Fri. & Sat. nights? Check! Oh and if you're into the Oregon lotto, they have slot machines too. Sometimes gambling and drinking just needs to go hand in hand. You get the picture, definitely stop by if you're in town. My guess is that it gets over looked often with all the wineries around, but then again that's how they stay a hidden gem. read more

There really isn't a lot of choices for dining in Lafayette. If you're hungry for foods such as burgers, chicken sandwiches or fish & chips then Roadhouse Pub is it. Roadhouse isn't it if you're looking to eat a high-quality meal. The French dip was the worst of the worst of all French dips out there. The roast beef was deli style. Just one large, round, thinly sliced deli meat folded in half with a couple slices of what I presume was provolone cheese. It was pretty bad. The crinkle fries were good though; not greasy. I'd compare the beef patty of the cheeseburger to the cheap, bulk patties one would buy at the grocery store. It was thin & tasteless. There was more of "the works" between the buns, including a heavy layer of special mayo, that it made the patty barely noticeable. One star goes for the friendly service & the other for the cheap prices for our half star quality food. read more

Fun spot in Lafayette. The place looked like it was going to be a superdive- and it was- but it was really clean, staff was friendly, and they have OR Lotto machines if you feel like getting rich quick. The beers are cheap, and they had Deschutes Black Butte on tap. Win. We were there on a Saturday night for karaoke. There was maybe 5 or 6 other people in the bar, so it's safe to say the song rotation went quickly. Our bartender told us that it's usually busy for one of the two nights (Fri or Sat) so walking into a crowd isn't far fetched. If you live around here, I can see this place getting very Cheers-y for you in no time. read more

This place is the divy of the diviest and that is a compliment to this place. Perfect kind of place for me. Small and out in the middle of no where. Mostly locals, they know when you out of town folk are passing through and don't belong. We however have no problems making friends wherever we go. We met a nice couple there and talked about a lot of things. I was sinful and ordered the fried shrimp. Hell I already know I'm going down. If you know, don't deny it, be one with it. I enjoyed that and my regular vodkas on ice. Was a stop on the way home from the beach. Great little place. Hope I remember to stop in there again. Came here for breakfast and Ron gives you large portions, which I love. He's a great gentleman who is also a great owner. Very clean facility, great energy, great Bloody Mary's! Their clam chowder is one of the best I've had (I'm comparing to moe's and maxwells on the coast) and their sloppy joes aka sloppy Jose's are delicious! Love this pub! Great people, great atmosphere and they're awesome to watch sports and play pool. I live in SoCal but every time I visit home and my friends out here, I stop by this establishment. I always end up meeting new people, and it's such a tight knit community and so welcoming that you feel at home. Dont go if you dont have a penis. My friends and i went for kareoke on Fri night. Not too busy, but when the guys went to the bar, they were served right away. When i, a female went to the bar, it took 5 mins to get a drink. When the bar was practically empty at the end if the night, i went to pay my tab. 5 min wait again. Wtf??? Would give zero stars if I could. Women's bathroom has mold. Owner was very rude and unwelcoming. Many "reserved" tables we weren't allowed to sit at although the event wasn't until three hours later. Will not be going back. read more

There is a sad lack of places to eat in Lafayette! Hubby and I got home from work last night and wanted a big juicy burger so we tried the local pub. Our burgers were scrumptious! The fries were delic and a ton of them! We could of shared but he ordered onion rings, which you can sub for 2$ more.. kind of not worth it but oh well.. The drinks are not the best, just order beer like I did. Very friendly bartender, the place is defo a dive but I love dives, I aint fancy. It was quiet and satisfied our burger craving for sure. Hubby ordered the roadhouse which was huge. I had the bacon cheeseburger.. mmmmm If you don't want to drive into Mac or Newberg and want a burger give it a whirl... Good customer service from bartenders and server but horrible treatment by "owner" Pam. We had been there for over an hour and were having fun, then Pam showed up and told us we couldn't play "rap" music on jukebox that took money for song requests. We were made to feel very unwelcome despite being a party of 8 in a bar that had 10 patrons. We left very unhappy because of treatment by the owner. read more
