Seating Set Up, Barn Door and Garage Door offers lots of ventilation in huge warehouse. Overhead heaters throughout

What a Hip neo-rustic warehouse barn aren't you Mac? Brilliant concept & atmosphere, lots of open seating upstairs/down, outside patio & sidewalk, sky high ceilings with a huge barn door & garage door to vent the space & overhead heating throughout. Street parking was already busy on a Tuesday 1PM but seems there's several side streets around for a short walk. 2 visits here bc..read on, I'm in love! With few open lunch boxes open on a Mon-Tues in town, Mac's was sold out of most Cafe food, besides sweet pastries and just 3 slices of their take on Detroit style pizza plus a few containers of couscous salad, remained after 1:30PM. Reportedly selling out of some 80 pre-made sammies, it was a huge disappointment as I read their inviting Small Plates-Entrees-Cocktails menus online. This Food NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 4PM waa@h... so not wanting to miss out, reluctantly settled on the Carolina Gold meat slice, noting neither veggie or meat had red sauce. Detroit Pizza 5/5 Preferring red sauce, & betting on this too brown a slice being ever so dry on an inch thick Focaccia, Ooh were my doubts ever disproved, it was nothing less than INcredible. Crust of golden melted cheese, crisped to edges like a Detroit duh but not brick I suspect but some harder cheese like a Grana/ Parm, therefore not as greasy as a typical Detroit, heaps of, tell yourself 'healthy' olive oil in the crust to make it sing and crunch! ...thinking of you Detroit Slice ever since ;) Btw leftover slices are sold 20% off in the refrigerated case which I promptly purchased after my 2nd visit for dinner. Coffee/Berry Scone 5/5 Excellent cappucino pull of Caravan locally roasted coffee. Berry Scone was dense in a wholesome feel good way (what you tell yourself when you are cheating haha) The baker/s here from Focaccia to sweets c'est par excellence! Dinner Phenomenal 5/5 - Come Often, menu changes about every 2 Wks!! 7/10/22 Returned for Dinner Service starting 4PM Gosh the drive out is just lovely and sooo well worth a spot at Dinner here. Surprisingly the tables were empty everywhere? Where are all the winos in need of calories to soak up the grape juice? They must not know Mac's yet because the food, every flavor profile, so clean, so balanced, precise, you can taste each element, so outstanding! Yes a bit on the spendy side but so worth the creativity, fresh ingredients, and execution! Please Mac's don't lose the cooks delivering this level of plating on the farm fresh goodness you serve! $8 Grilled Chicory 5/5 I had to ask what was in the Calabrian Chile vinaigrette on charred raddichio as I expected some heat but instead got an almost passion fruit, slight citrus, tad bit o'sweetness and fruity Chile flavor here. Hubby wanted to try this dish, loving his heat, but I, hesitant on heat in my salad was just going along. 30 seconds later, I deftly moved the plate right in front of my fork! lol $15 Grilled & Crispy Squid 5/5 Tendrils of crispy squid, the crisp from cornmeal or amarath? alongside tender soft squid ringlets of textural velvet, gorgeous bright green fresh fava beans are a fave, hard to find on menus (sold fresh in the market case too as were the other greens) alongside fat heirlooms in a lush olive lemon basil oil, very yummy. Interestingly couldn't really detect the fermented peppers akin to an Asian chile crisp oil drizzled atop but didn't stop me! The favas and basil tomatoes really stood out more than the squid but the dish needs to be twice the size! $19 Braised Rabbit Pasta 5/5 House fettuccine noodle was cooked perfectly chewy and poor Peter made excellent in a delicately sweet braise not heavily sauced but noteworthy, with bok choy, broccoli and pickled celery which you can't necessarily see at first unlike an in your face primavera, but a definite veggie boost & lightness to this dish, topped with micro greens. Cocktails $13 Coco Club 4/5 Coconut Gin drew me in, with its defined coconut profile but the gin certainly didn't lose it's way, with Lillet Blanc & Lemon her only other partners, this is a long drink but will sit your pants down, it's alcohol forward, no fooling Sis! I'd prefer her a little longer actually, a teeny more sweet without the calories, like some coconut LaCroix fizz or plain/pineapple coconut water if cal-splurging. $14 Corpse Reviver no. 11 5/5 Yep kiss au revoir to the $10 cocktail, long gone but nothing will Revive your faith in the nuances of getting it right with some of the stronger ingredients of absinthe, cointreau & lemon profiles filling your Coupe' than this No 11. It's so perfectly aligned carrying the gin and Lillet along, thank you Bartender, you are brilliant! The Market also hawks local provisions including butchered meat, chocolates, canvas totes, cookbooks and a wall of wine in addition to farm fresh produce. Don't believe my words when I say I am in love with Mac Mkt, hop on your bike, scooter on out, or 4 wheel it, Go Seek! You'll probably find me at a table :)

Really cool open space for hanging out, grabbing a bite to eat or drink, shop for sustainable products, or do a little grocery shopping. I've come here a few times for all of the above, but this last in particular I brought my father in law to have coffee and lunch. He thoroughly enjoyed his cuppa and our vegetarian sandwich loaded with veg. I had an Italian sandwich and it had a ton of meat, freshly carved. Everyone who works in this entire market always seems friendly and helpful. If I were to choose a place to come do work or write a novel, this would be the place around the corner to do so.

    Cute little shop!!

We can start with the first impression. A literal 10+. Outside seating. Inside seating up and down stairs. Lights and plants and everything you could want from one place. A couple places to order some food and some cute little places to shop. We went to the Honey Log for some pizza and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time!!! Everything was so delicious. The salad and the pizza!!! Everyone was friendly and service was fast. New to town and Can't wait to go back!!

Been wanting to come here for awhile, must kept missing it. If so go around 4 as that is when they had dinner. The Red Fork was amazing! This girl doesn't really dog chicken, but that was good chicken! Plus I like that they had Shasta soda. I love Shasta! So many areas to sit and relax and or bring a few people and enjoy the town of Mac. After this I went to a record store and book store that are right next to eachother! Both things I love then decided I wanted nice cup of water with strawberries as it was a hot day.

Brand new (August 2019) food venue in a cavernous airy structure. All the food we tried was delectable. We came twice during their "soft grand opening" for breakfast and then late lunch. There were different food venders there each time (we sampled from three). There are also coffee venders and a bar set up in what looks like a vintage airstream trailer. There was even a boutique jam vendor. Nice ambiance.

We stayed next door to the newly opened mac market on our recent McMinnville stay and were glad to have it near! It is a cute and trendy spot that has a beer and wine bar, a coffee stand, and some cute local goods and produce. They have live music certain nights of the week and at the bar serve all local wines and beers. There is cpr hole and other games and it serves well as a place you can come hang out. There is even a little airstream RV inside that doubles as a a cocktail bar! In all it was a cute and trendy spot that we visited several times. My only critique would be as a "market" we were wishing there was a lot more to shop from (both goods and foods), but I know they just opened so maybe more are on the way soon!

First and sadly, last place we would go…read more We recently visited Heater Allen in McMinnville for their Oktoberfest with six family members, excited to support a local spot that calls itself "kid friendly." Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel anything but welcome. Our 3-year-old was playing with the toy bin they provide for kids inside, while we were mainly gathered outside. Like any toddler, he made a mess, but I was mindful of it and cleaned up after him when asked. About 15-20 minutes later, I noticed the entire toy bin had been removed. When I asked the staff member (manager?) why, her response was curt and dismissive--essentially saying she was tired of cleaning up after kids. She even said she "had kids too," but the tone felt more like scolding than understanding. I explained that we come to places like this because they advertise themselves as family-friendly. Instead of hospitality, we were made to feel like a burden, as though children weren't actually welcome. The worst part was overhearing her continue to talk about us to others while we were still there. That crossed the line from unprofessional to just plain rude. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. For parents constantly searching for places to enjoy a beer while their kids have space to play, I can confidently say Heater Allen is not it. If you don't want children there, don't advertise as kid-friendly--it's misleading and creates an experience that feels hostile for families.

I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and a bottle of IBC root beer. The fish pieces were Alaskan cod, tender and with delicious, mild flavor. The cod was covered in a panko crust. I did squirt a bit of malt vinegar on the fish as I like that flavor. The plate came with fries and coleslaw. I am not much of a coleslaw person but this was pretty good. The fish came with a tasty tarter sauce which I just used to dip my fries into. My sister couldn't finish the pulled pork sandwich she ordered so I had some of that too. The pork was tender and flavorful although I wasn't overly fond of the bbq sauce they used. I had dessert! Celia's Homemade Oregon Berry Cobbler. Wow! The piping hot blueberries and strawberries were within a sweet, crisp crust and was magnificent. The cobbler was covered with a huge scoop of Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this dessert. This is a comfortable, casual, fun place for a meal. I would definitely come back to eat here while in the old town area of McMinnville.
