Yes yes and yes! I came here due to a travel blog I stumbled upon during a google search about what to see and do while in McMinnville. I am gluten and dairy intolerant so this place fit the bill. I ordered at the counter and the server was extremely pleasant and helpful in making sure I got my needs met. I settled on a beer flight and a BLT sandwich with fried pickles and vegan ranch. My food I can't even articulate on how happy it made me. I haven't had fried pickles in at least ten years. The BLT was also equally delicious. I did note the bread didn't hold together as well but honestly who cares when all the flavors was there? Overall, I highly recommend checking out. read more

I've been here a few times now and have had an amazing experience each time. The workers are very kind and always so welcoming! As a girl with celiac, whenever I can have French fries at a restaurant, it's almost guaranteed to get 5 stars, but everything being gluten free makes it even better. I've had the chicken salad sandwich and burger, which were both amazing. The bread doesn't crumble into smithereens after biting into it and it's delicious. My mom and I shared the brussel sprouts and those were marvelous too. I love vegetables, but if you don't I still think you'd like them. I've also had a donut and cookie here before. I've got the biggest sweet tooth around so it's hard to disappoint me with those. Will definitely return in the future :) read more

I've been coming to Bierly for a few years now, and think I love it more each time I am there. It's counter service, very casual, and whoever is there is always super helpful. I live in Portland, but my parents live in the area, so I find myself recently going there on weekend mornings (only time they offer donuts) I am in town to get a delicious, classic chocolate donut. Plenty of places in Portland have gluten free donuts, but Bierly might be my favorite donut spot. On top of the bakery, they also have pub-style food which is also on point. Corn dogs, fried pickles, and soft pretzels (house-made habanero mustard is the besttt with the soft pretzels) are some of my favorites. So yea, it's a brewery with good gluten free beer but they offer so many other fun gluten free things that you really can't find a lot of places. Totally worth checking out. read more

Delicious! My 18 year old has celiac and we're always looking for safe places for him to eat. We were on our way to Portland and had heard about Bierly. I'm so glad we tried it! The onion rings were yummy but the fried pickles were out of this world. You can tell they make their own ranch because wow! My son loved getting to steal bites from everyone's plates & my Reuben was great. The gluten free rye bread held together and had that caraway rye flavor you're always wanting on a Reuben. I'd highly recommend to anyone needing to be gluten free or not. We will definitely drive out of our way to eat here again. read more

First experience with Bierly Brewing and a fairly decent start for sure. I got their Red Tall English Ale which was a bitter session style ale. This beer had a good, smooth body to it. There is a sweetness to it as well which balances out quite well making a very fine and unique tasting beer. Looking forward to trying other beers of theirs for whenever I'm in the area. read more

One of the most wonderful little spots McMinnville has to offer! Staff are friendly, there is a great rotation of seasonal treats - great for a meal, snack or pastry. My favorite is their fried pickles with house-made honey mustard. The owners are very involved with the community, volunteer with the Downtown Association and take care to know their regulars. Was only there briefly for a beer and to watch the UFO fest parade. Crazy busy because of the event but the only place available that had outside seating for us and the dogs. Sat down at this really wobbly table and waited for my wife to get us a beer. The line was long but it was moving. You had to have a mask on to get in, but they provided them at the door. My wife came back with a couple of cans of beers. I asked if she ordered any food and she said the food menu was all deep fried stuff and there was an hour wait. My best friend has been recommending this place for the last year, driving all the way from Portland every weekend that she's able to. We finally were able to go and ordered pretty much everything on the menu. If you're gluten-free, by far this is some of the best food I've ever tasted! When was the last time we had corn dogs? Fried pickles? Jalapeño poppers? Donuts? Everything came out fresh and hot and best of all, nothing was greasy. Batter was delicious and the donuts were dense and covered with frosting. A beer selection that had double digits choices of gluten-free beer, including a few featured from another brewery. I ordered a flight and tried my friends drinks and ate so much! Onion rings! I forgot about those. Those and the pickles were so delicious. Well, so was the corn dog... Our waitress was so helpful and heard that we were visiting so she ended up bringing us a card of one of the breweries that they were guest featuring. She talked about the great community of gluten-free breweries and how they like to promote each other and I absolutely love that. We were there until they closed down and I'm certain they saw us practically licking the crumbs from our plates, because as we were about to head out, they handed my friend a box of four donuts for us to take home on the house. That goes way above customer service and I just cannot say enough about this place. The beautiful thing is I was able to take the donuts to my sister-in-law and two nieces who are gluten-free and they were in heaven. They now have a destination to come to!! The last thing I will say is that they have a great Instagram account and update it very frequently on the types of donuts or specialty items that are on the menu during the weekend. Since they are only open a couple days of the week, it's really great to see what is coming up. They also take requests and really pay attention to the feedback. I am certain that if I lived closer, I would be there every single weekend. Plus, right now there's all this really cute outdoor seating so it feels really safe and just relaxing being there. PS This is a really minor detail, but one that I thought was worth pointing out. The bathroom is just a one stall room that's spacious and decent, but I noticed that they had diapers and one of those little training toilet seats for customers. Quote from my Celiac partner: "I like beer, I like donuts, I like baguettes, I like sausage. These are all my favourite things." The place is small but very accommodating to their customers. When we arrived, they were finishing up some big pre-orders. We were told that all donuts are cooked to order, so it would be about twenty minutes if we wanted to wait. We wanted to wait. Best GF BEER and the best Gluten free corn dog I've ever had! Been waiting a long time to visit this place and the visit did not disappoint. The Beignets were AMAZING. I ordered so many things. We both really liked the Felix beer and the Rendezvous and the Pumpkin Belgian. I loved the Stout (husband doesn't like stouts so he didn't try it). I hope I get to return sometime. 100% gluten free and many dairy free snacks too is my heaven on earth. Also the bathroom was very nice and clean. We loved the little downtown area it was in too. It's not too often I walk out of a place or give a place less than 3 stars, but this was the one. We didn't have a reservation, so we were okay with a wait. However, they sent us outside to a small patio and told us to stand there. There were a few tables but all were full. We didn't want to stand over the people sitting there. We tried to go back inside and order from the bar while we waited - nope, not allowed. There were empty seats at the bar, maybe sit there while we waited - nope can't sit there. We drove an hour from Portland just to come here and it did not disappoint. You drive through farmland and then it turns into this cute little town with a street of breweries, French restaurants, wine bars and a lot of French themed businesses. Bierly is located on this street. We walked in, they were fairly busy, the owner greeted us right away. He was really personable and nice. Gave great suggestions and patient while we decided what to order since it was our first time. We ended up getting a flight of beer (Idk what they were but my boyfriend loved it), a pretzel, chocolate donut, corn dog and beignets. For me, I didn't like the pretzel too Much, it was too hard and chewy. HOWEVER, everything else was amazing and you wouldn't even know it's gluten free food. The donut and beignet were some of the best we've had. The corn dog was so good! The batter is nice and thin, crispy, subtly sweet corn flavor. The sausage inside was so flavorful and you could tell they didn't cheap out. My boyfriend was really happy we made it out here. I'm not sure when we'll have a chance to come here again (at least not any time soon) but If you're in the area and want delicious Gf food or beer, come here! we make the drive out here every couple of months or on way to or from the beach. Besides great gf beer they make some great food items. The chocolate chip cookes are the best. We like to check out all the breweries wherever we go and walked here from downtown McMinnville. We accidentally showed up too early after we misread the current covid hours and mistook the pick up hours for the outdoor hours, however the person working there told us it was no problem and provided us great customer service. I did realize ahead of time this was a gluten free establishment, but like normal it is hard for me to really tell how this differentiates in taste from regular beer. They seem really excited about their beers which is always nice when visiting a brewery. They are currently operating an outdoor beer garden behind the building, not sure if this is what they do normally. We sampled a few beers and opted for a very nicely priced baguette that was served with oil and vinegar. I probably should have tried the pretzels as well, as I was very enticed by their wide variety of mustards, I believe this can also be served with cheese sauce. At the time we visited most people seemed to be coming by to pick up the special which was beignets, but they did not have many of these available if you didn't order ahead. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area, more so if you are looking for some gluten free options. read more

This was an incredibly disappointing experience. Bierly was almost empty when we arrived and despite this it took over an hour to receive our meal. After receiving our food one person in our group found an inch long piece of hard plastic in their salad. When the issues were brought to the owners attention he was dismissive of our groups concerns. The location was also quite cold inside even with a coat on. While there were plenty of people working it did not seem like they were attentive of the time it was taking for food to come out to groups. The food was also fairly disappointing. While gluten free food can occasionally be gummy the buns on the burgers were tough and hard to chew through. The fried food and donut were both fine. We will not be returning. read more

Ate lunch here today. Enjoyed a turkey sandwich with a roasted garlic spread, fried pickles, onion rings, a wild mushroom and rice soup and a corn dog. Yes - we shared. Everything was delicious!! The husband said the beer was great. The portions were generous - the fry on everything crispy and the sandwich bread fluffy. PS: Everything here is dedicated gluten-free. I went for the first time this weekend and wowweee!! It was SO GOOD!! All Gluten Free - including the BEER. I am not required to be gluten free so I don't have not tried a ton of GF stuff but I was so impressed. The breading on the corndog, fries, onion rings, fried pickles - DELISH! The sauces that came with them, lovely! Then we took donuts to go. Oh man...These were better than "regular" cake donuts! When I first went gluten free, I didn't think it would be possible to find gluten free donuts. Then a friend of a friend told me about Bierly and I decided that I needed to make the hour long trip from Milwaukie. Luckily, the food and beer at Bierly are worth the trip. My husband and I were there a week and a half ago when the only available seating was outdoors. Luckily the sidewalk seating provides a great view of downtown McMinnville. We each had a pretzel. I also got a maple bar (weekly special), chocolate donut and cinnamon sugar donut. The pretzel had a great texture and I liked the cheese sauce. I know that my husband (who is not gluten free) also liked the pretzel because he went owns got a second one. Of the donuts, the maple and chocolate were my favorites because the frosting was so great. All the donuts had great flavor and texture though and I didn't feel like I was being cheated out of flavor just because they were gluten free. I'm a big fan of dark beers which aren't as easy to find in a gluten free format. Bierly's Porter was excellent. There were many beers on tap as well as several flavors of 12 Bridge Cider which came in cans. My husband really liked the pear ginger cider. The staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions. Overall, we had a great experience and I hope to go back sometime soon. read more

Big group here not caring it was gluten free.. got some tasters and all the beer has this odd smell and plastic aftertaste...
