What a fun spot! This is the sister location with the primary location in Tigard. The lady working was friendly and informative and happy to talk about flavor profiles of each sangria. The sangrias were perfectly balanced and the winner was the rose sangria. The rose wasn't in your face and over powering but nicely balanced by the grapefruit.

Vegan Bruschetta-so good we ordered a second round!

This place is such a gem! If you're looking for a spot that nails great drinks, amazing food, and a fun, welcoming vibe, this is it! First off, the sangria is top tier. I'm not even someone who usually orders sangria, and I was blown away. They have multiple options and every one we tried was incredible. They also have a solid cocktail menu if you're in the mood for something else, but honestly the sangria alone is worth the visit. The food is just as impressive. They have tons of options for different dietary needs, and their vegan options are especially good. Not just an afterthought, but actually delicious, thoughtful dishes that everyone at the table will love. The space itself is super clean, cute, and vibey. It's the perfect spot for a girls' day, date night, or just a fun hangout. Everything from the decor to the layout feels intentional and inviting. And the customer service? 10/10. Everyone working there was so friendly, fun, and genuinely happy to be there. You can really feel it -- they make you feel welcomed the second you walk in. We'll absolutely be back. This place is a whole experience, not just a bar.

Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. There is a menu choice for a flight of 3 sangrias, you get to choose. The background music choice had me singing to most songs. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The taste of the food and drinks did not disappoint.

Food is Amazing, the sangria is out of this world and the staff are the nicest people ever. Is a very relax and chill place to enjoy with friends and family. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Cheesy bread and steak bites.

After reading great reviews online, we had super high expectations for this Spanish spot, and it…read moredid not disappoint! We first tried to drop by on Day 1, but the place was so crowded that we couldn't get a table. We made sure to book a reservation and returned for lunch the next day. The ambience here is amazing, and the service was top-notch. Our server was great and took the time to explain the menu details to us. We ordered a bunch of different items, and everything tasted pretty good. The paella was definitely the absolute highlight of the meal! While I wish the vegetables had been roasted just a bit more, the rice itself was extremely flavorful. The sautéed mushrooms and Brussels sprouts were another massive highlight--they are an absolute must-try from the menu. We loved them so much that we actually placed a repeat order for them during our meal! Overall, we had a fantastic time here. Definitely visit this spot when you are in the city!

There's plenty of tables and a long bar with ample seats. The service has been mostly good. The wine list is ample and the cocktail selection is massive. I haven't had a bad drink here. This most recent time, I ordered the 45 minute paella. I don't mind waiting with a glass of wine or cocktail for something that's a treat like paella. Sadly, when it came out it was disappointing. The seafood was cooked well but a little underseasoned. The rice was very bland. I'd chalk it up to someone having a bad night, but this is the second time I ordered the paella and was disappointed. Sad to say, there are enough better restaurants in Mac that I don't think I'll rush back here on my next trip to the area.

Beautiful restaurant, we really expected a bit of a crowd. We were seated and greeted, waters were provided with menus. We started our meal experience by telling our waiter that we planned to do a progressive dinner down 3rd Street. We were met with a rather disappointed / disheartened response. Their menu was absolutely stunning. Lots of great options. As this was our first stop of the evening, we went for an appetizer. The Albacore Confit absolutely out of this world. Ridiculously good. Huge portion, plated beautifully. Wonderful for the three of us to share. We all raved at how lovely the dish was. Drinks were absolutely fabulous. Gin martini was SOLID. My partner didn't care for his wine but it was a first-time try, that isn't the fault of the restaurant. The Dolores O'Riordan martini was absolutely wonderful. The bar was timely with drinks, which is always appreciated. Overall, ambiance, food, and drink were AMAZING! Absolutely a 5-star experience. However, service just did not slap. We could have survived with the disheartened response at us only staying for one-course but the end of our time with Grounded Table kinda kicked us all in the butt. As they handed me the check, we were met with "We hope you can join us for an entire meal sometime". The inflection was just catty and unnecessary. Trying to look past it, I continued to complete the check but after they departed the table, my dinner-mates both whispered under their breath "that did not just happen, how rude!" Meh, this could hae been the easiest 5-star review ever. The attitude of our server kinda blew the entire experience, the comment was unnecessary.

Thistle…read morewas number one on our list when we first came to the Willamette Valley as "wine tourists" and, now, as "locals" it's still at the very top of our list for not just the wine country but Portland as well. How many restaurants have been here for 17 years? Many, funded by a kind of "rich" none of us will ever attain in 20 lifetimes, don't even last a couple years. Okay, perhaps a few. But, still, no amount of $$$ spent on fancy consultants is going to insure your success. I'm not sure if it was Rick Rubin but someone of his kind said, "Hollywood execs fund projects that they 'think audiences will think are cool' while I do projects that I know are cool.'" Many trying to do a project up here seem to hold the same ethos as the Hollywood exec. What others only wish they had yet "little ol' Thistle" actually has is a coolness factor most won't even understand, especially those funding said consultant-driven properties. In today's world we need more of what Thistle brings to the table: Authenticity. Again, you can't buy this. Love what Thistle did in the beginning, of course. I have to say, though, what the owner, Patrick, has done and ESPECIALLY with what their young chef, John, are doing deserves so much more recognition than they're getting. Almost two decades ago 3rd Street was "cute" and "homey" then Thistle showed up and knocked it out of the park, getting mentions including the NY Times. What they are doing now is even better. If you are in the area as tourists, make sure you get a reservation at Thistle. You won't regret it. If you're a local, you already know. Tonight's meal was exceptional. And, seriously, if you've already eaten just come by for a drink. The bar is fantastic and something you're hard-pressed to find outside of NY or LA in that "neighborhood-y spot" only locals know about. Long live Thistle! Tonight's meal was EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you.

The menu changes daily based on the availability of the fresh ingredients of the season and is written on a chalkboard. We opted for the salmon tartar which was amazing and the beef spare ribs. The salmon served with small crusty bread and the spare ribs were served with a Mole sauce. We stayed until closing and talked the night away.

Comfy chairs. Lower lighting, well placed. Service was excellent, friendly and fast. I think our server's name was Mikayla; a gem. Attentive and observant but never intrusive. Drinks: my old fashioned was absolutely perfect and my husband's margarita was fine. Appetizers: beer cheese was well balanced and a bit runny, which I prefer over the library paste version some places serve. The elotes dip was a standout, mildly spicy, with lime in the cilantro, and warm, crispy chips. (Whatever is in their seasoning for chips and fries should be sold separately -- I wanted to try it on everything.) We probably should have stopped there, as the portions were abundant, but our mains were amazing. Smash burger was insanely juicy, nice and onion-y with a few Crunchy Brown Bits around the edges. The roll was fresh and tender, with a good crust; flavorful, not just a shingle. The fries were the best I've had in Salem. Get the garlic-thyme upgrade; you won't regret it. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they were out of both compound butters, apparently due to a busy Friday, but everything was well seasoned. The vegetable of the day was roasted Brussels sprouts with a sweet-and-salty sauce, almost like kettle corn; amazing. The outer leaves were caramelized without being burned, and the hearts were tender but not mushy. Crispy fried onions were perfect. Fried potatoes were fine, and enriched by their placement between the steak and the sprouts. The diners who came in before us were all smiles when they left, so it wasn't a fluke. Can't wait to come back!

Food: We had the Wagyu Smash burger with sweet potatoes (waffle cut), and the Wagyu Sliders with the Garlic Thyme fries. The smash burger had those good crispy edges and good flavor overall, but started to get a bit rich and could've used a bit more acid to balance the flavors out. The Wagyu sliders were delicious. They came on a pretzel buns, had pickled onions and a good Serrano aioli sauce. Perfect balance of salt, acid, fat, and heat. Fries: the Waffle cut sweet potatoes fried were good but basic. The garlic thyme fried while smelled great, were definitely frozen from a bag and way over cooked to the point of many being burnt. The garlic was also burnt. They could've also used a melted cheese to keep the garlic stuck to the fries. Not sure I'd order them again. Beverages: we had the Santiam Brewery Infiltrator Pilsner, which was great, and the an Silver Falls Brewery IPA (can't recall what brewery it was from).

All of the food is done family style: - Clams Galicia: with tomato, chorizo, bacon broth. This broth as amazing. I literally drank it with a spoon - Pan con tomate: slightly different from classic preparation - more flavorful and heavier on the toppings - Salmorejo: tomato and bread puree, Serrano, jammy egg - like a creamy gazpacho - Grilled asparagus: with whipped ricotta and a cured egg yolk - Squid ink pasta: with hazelnuts, caramelized onions, peppers, and a runny egg yolk, a bit spicy. I would definitely recommend the squid ink pasta and the clams if you're in town!
