Her quote sounded too good to be true, but I went and met with her and seen some of the other dresses that she had made. They were beautiful so and her prices were very reasonable. So, I decided to give it a shot. I must admit it sounded wayyy too good to be true. She also told us that she could make my fiancé's suit. At that very 1st visit she took our measurements. We left not knowing exactly we were going to get, even kind of nervous. But hopeful at the same time. She was very quick, and we went in for our 1st fitting. My fiancé's jacket and vest looked great, and fit him just about perfectly at the 1st fitting. I must admit I wasn't happy with my dress at all... here's where I went into freak out mode. Yani pretty much told me to trust the process. Since I had never had a custom dress made... i did not trust the process at all. When I came back for the next fitting, I can tell you that all my stress was for nothing. The dress was almost perfect. I was like... YES! This is so much better. By my last fitting the dress was perfect. Absolutely perfect! This past weekend was our wedding. I got so many complements on my dress. It fit perfectly. You can tell it was made just for me. I am very short and it didn't drag the ground at all. At the end of the night, I didn't even want to take it off. I want to wear it again. I'm said that it was just for that occasion. When it came time to pick up my clothing, I could not get in touch with her. I drive to the business on 2 different occasions. The doors were locked, no lights. Over the next 3 days, I called, no answer. I texted, no response. I was headed out of town for a week and would be attending several events. She had my outfits and refused to communicate. I started searching online for more outfits. I decided to call once more and she answered. No apologies, no explanation. I spent $135 and Eloisa did a great job. My husband also gets his pants, shorts, and polo shirts altered with her and she does a great job. They specialize in altering wedding dresses and can add bustles, adjust sizes and lengths, change pads, etc. It's definitely a small business in terms of size and operation with a space just big enough for a cramped changing room and a fitting area in front of a mirror. So if you bring friends or family, limit to two! The ladies were super sweet and homey, seem hard-working, and were fun to talk to. For the dress, we made 3 appointments: the initial visit, a first fitting to see how the adjustments are going, and a second fitting for a last look + pickup. The price was set during the initial visit and paid during the pickup. Call to make an appointment beforehand, and bring the shoes/heels and bra you plan to wear with the dress to each visit for accurate tailoring. I'm happy with the changes they made to my dress; it looks like it was made for my size even though it was purchased several sizes too big from a sample sale!
