I came to get two dresses tailored here for a wedding, then a bunch of jeans and a jumpsuit, and a small tear in my wedding dress. I just gotta say, this tailor is by far one of my favorites. I loved the quality of the blue dress that she tailored so much, I wish I could have just found the same dress for my wedding dress in white. Usually takes a week. The two dresses, I think to hem and take in and some other cosmetic changes on the blue dress and same for my other dress and that was like $200 or so. Depending on the work, it costs more. I brought like ten jeans for hemming and a jumpsuit to take in since the legs were weirdly baggy and that was like $200. I'm willing to pay the money rather than muck it up myself. I've referred my mother as well who also is vertically challenged. A good tailor is hard to find. Will certainly be back read more

Kim is a lifesaver! My husband and I flew in from LA for a wedding happening the next day, and we realized last-minute that the zipper on his traditional Nigerian Senator dress shirt was broken. Total panic moment--until we found Champions Tailor on Google. It was 5:55 PM (they close at 6), and something told me to just try calling. Kim answered and, without hesitation, told us to come on in. We were so grateful she stayed open for us! Not only did she fix the zipper on the spot, but the quality of her work was incredible. My husband even said it was better than the original tailor's job! Kim is kind, warm, and clearly takes pride in her craft. You can tell she genuinely cares about helping people, even in a time crunch. If you're ever in need of tailoring--emergency or not--Kim at Champions Tailor is the one to go to. We'll recommend her every chance we get! read more

Wonderful! Kim is such an expert with a keen eye for fit and design. I found her from Yelp reviews and I am so happy! Amazing. She took a high-end dress and altered it (lots of tweaks here and there) to perfection. I've had other alterations and sometimes it's hit or miss. I felt perfect in my dress for a gala. She fixed it so it looked like it was made for me. Regarding price, you know, you get what you pay for. Everything is more than it once was. It was a fair price. I might have paid a little less at a former place, bug I wouldn't have been happy. read more

I originally hated my wedding dress. I have a curvier build so after ordering the best size for me at the gown shop, it still had a gap at my chest area and too tight on my hips. I couldn't see the vision until I brought it to Kim. In only two appointments she had done an amazing job in my dress, also making a beautiful custom long veil that was originally going to cost triple the price from the gown shop! I also had a silk gown was completely custom made my Kim. I showed her a photo of a Reformation dress for reference and she nailed it, even using thicker quality silk and adding a lining layer. The Reformation dress was very thin to where you can see the outline of everything underneath. If you know Ref, you know their clothes fit better on thinner women with a smaller chest. In contrast Kim's was way more luxurious and elegant - thicker, flows better, and fit well to my curves. I also requested for a bolero last minute (I'm talking just TWO days before the wedding) to have slightly more modesty and coverage for our church wedding. She luckily already had my measurements and extra lace because I couldn't pick it up or try it on until an hour before the wedding. It was perfect and actually my favorite bridal piece that I'll cherish forever. She also took care of my bridesmaids' dresses as well. So thankful for Kim and her expertise! read more

Kim was very helpful and honest. My wife bought a dress with hopes to get it tailored to fit. Kim said that the way we wanted to take it in would make the proportions not look as nice on her. She said she would do it if we wanted, but she recommended using a different style of dress. We really appreciated the honesty. read more

I have been a customer of Kim's for years. I have never brought a wedding dress- but I have brought in multiple gowns for tailoring. Kim always does a fantastic job. It is very easy to communicate with her. Every time I go in my dresses are ready in less than a weeks time. Most recently I brought in a bridesmaid dress that I didn't really love- but after getting it tailored to fit me it turned out to be the best bridesmaid dress I've ever owned. I look SNATCHED. Her attention to detail is amazing. You can just tell that Kim is very experienced and her experience is truly priceless. I won't take my dresses to anyone else! read more

I had a lot of alterations done, and by the end of it the dress was PERFECT to my body. She will even put in different size cups to tailor it perfectly to YOUR body. However, when I first arrived and asked how many fittings were expected, she told me "for you, just one!". Thank GOODNESS I brought my dress in way early, because I ended up going back 4 times. The dress to begin with was too big for me. When I went in the second time, it was WAY too tight and couldn't zip up! It was a bit of a frustrating mess. I was happy with the final product, but it could've gone a lot smoother. read more

Kim is the best!! I had a nightmare experience with a different "tailor" a week and a half before the wedding, but I called Kim and she was so accommodating, so sweet, and able to do my dress in a week! When I went to try it on, she had done a perfect job. I am so blessed to have found Kim to do my dress. She really knows how to fix a dress and make it fit you comfortably and beautifully, and she prioritizes making sure you feel like a princess on your wedding day. Thank you Kim! read more

Kimberly did an amazing job altering my wedding dress! Originally, it was too big on me and had a train that I wanted removed. The final result was perfect! You couldn't even tell where she removed the lace train and reattached the bottom part of it to the dress, making it floor length. I'll attach before and after photos to show the difference! Also, I feel that the alterations were reasonably priced and completed in a timely manner. Highly recommend!! read more

Kim, The best freaking tailor out there! I'm sure every bride says this but I was OBSESSED with my dress. The thought of it getting tailored scared the crap out of me because I had a fear it would get messed up. My dress was 100% French lace and I knew there was no room for error. Kim was so professional and so personable that it made the process to easy. From the start she was so confident that she could do it and that made me feel 1,000 times more comfortable. Kim hemmed boy dress 3 inches, and made the straps shorter. When I picked up my dress it was PERFECT! The length was amazing the straps were amazing and you couldn't even tell it was tailored! She is the best in the area! Two of my bridesmaids and my mom all went to her as well! Their dresses turned out beautiful as well! She is also very budget friendly! That was another concern of mine and I was very happy to pay her the amount she quoted me for! If you are in need of a tailor, look no further! Kim is the lady for the job! read more

Kim and her team are AMAZING and they are life savers! I had my wedding dress altered somewhere else first, and it was awful. The dress had beads and the cups needed to be made smaller. The first place, didn't cut anything, and instead just rolled the dress and tacked it down. It was lumpy, and poorly altered because they didn't take the time or know the proper way to do it correctly . I almost ended up getting a new dress with 2 weeks to go before my wedding. That's when we were told to go see Kim at Champions Tailor! She completely knew what to do. She undid all of the rolled fabric and beading that the first place did, and started from scratch. She explained everything she was doing, and would do to fix the dress. Her confidence makes you feel calm and helps you know you're in good hands! Kim alters like a pro. She sewed all of the lace and beads by hand when she put the dress back together. It takes her hours to do what she does, but she explained it's because it needs to be done right. She pays close attention to details and is SO sweet. She was very efficient and worked quickly to get it all done before my big day! She is so personable and easy to talk to! I'm so thankful I found Kim! She's a Godsend! read more

I don't know where to begin on how amazing Kim was with alterations on my daughter's bridal dress. Absolutely very professional and so talented. The dress I purchased was the last one at Whittington which was a size 12 and my daughter is size 4. I fell in love with the dress when she tried it on and Kim put all of my anxiety to rest when she went to the second fitting. It was perfect and my daughter looks like a princess. Kim, I will definitely recommend you! If there was a 10 star, I would absolutely award you a 10 star! I will post pics after the wedding. That bustle you made for the wedding gown is awesome!! Now I have to practice to do it right and not scramble the day of the wedding for my daughter. My heart is overjoyed. read more

I haven't had the need to tailor casual pieces often but I got this limited edition hoodie and wasn't able to exchange it so I went looking for a tailor. Through my friend's suggestion, I came to Kimberly. My hoodie was much too long for me and needed to be taken in on the waist a little bit. I wanted the hoodie to still have an oversized look. Kimberly was able to tailor it exactly how I wanted and it came out perfectly! She actually finished the alterations 2 days earlier than expected which was wonderful. She was so sweet and I would definitely come to her for other alterations as well! She can do major alterations on dresses for prom and weddings or small things like my hoodie. You won't be disappointed! :) read more

I had all 3 dresses back in a week... That's what I'm looking for, I also saw her special ordered dresses and they are beautiful... Please give her a chance, the building is safe and convenient.... I cannot give a higher review for Kim and Champions Tailor! My wedding dress ended up coming a bit later than expected and I had a tight timeline to have the dress ready before my wedding. She was more than willing to do the alterations for me and was able to do all of them in 1 week! I was extremely impressed with how detail-oriented was during the initial fitting and with her craftsmanship with the final product. She took extreme care with the lace on my dress so that the changes she made were hardly noticeable. In the end, it looked like I had a custom dress made for my body. read more

Hello, went here for my wedding dress alterations and she did an Amazing job! Fit perfectly! Couldn't have asked for better! :)

Kim and her team were a lifesaver for my daughter and her wedding dress. My daughter had her dressed altered at the place the dress was purchased and it was an awful experience. When we went to the first place to pick up the dress it was not properly altered and was still too big. My daughter was in tears because the wedding was 2 weeks away. They told us they would not do any more alterations for us. Kim was recommended to us and we immediately called her and went in the same day. She was so kind and helpful. She pinned up the dress to alter in all the right places and even had to redo the bustle as it had been poorly done as well. The dress was ready in less than a week and it fit perfectly. Kim made my daughter and me so happy with her kindness and the terrific work. She saved the wedding day!! I would highly recommend Champions Tailor. Excellent work. read more
