Went for lunch on a Saturday...restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. Food and service were both excellent! We had the hickory bacon cheeseburgers both of which were cooked to the temperatures we asked for and the fries & potato salad were good as well. Server was very attentive & friendly. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Placed an order online that said pick up in 20minuets. Once it said order complete I waited in an extremely long line to pick it up and was then told me order was not ready to park on the side. 20 additional minutes went by so I called the restaurant. The person on the phone was extremely rude saying "it will be ready when it's ready just wait and they will bring it out eventually." Just stopped in Times for a late burger and was totally impressed! We were seated within 15 seconds of arrival and were greeted by our waitress in under 3 minutes. The food was awesome and our waitress Brittany was AMAZING! She spent time chatting with us and made the dining experience unique and personable. I'm bewildered by the other reviews. Times Grill in Mandeville was far from a perfect or even mediocre experience for me. I've been to the one in Baton Rouge a few times and there were never any problems. The food and service were great. That's why I stopped here for lunch. The first thing I noticed was the poor service. There were only three other people dinning and it seemed like our food took a very long time to come out. The walls and floors were filthy. I ordered the catfish poboy with coleslaw. The bread wasn't toasted so I couldn't tear through it easily and I ended up having to eat the fish on its own. The coleslaw was warm and not fresh. I only took one bite before I decided that it would be best for my health (and bowels) to discontinue further mastication. My boyfriend had a club sandwich with fries. The fries were soggy and cold. The sandwich was mediocre. There were flies buzzing around our plates the entire time we ate. I was extremely dissatisfied and to be frank, disgusted. read more

Waited 45 minutes for service before the waitress said our order was slow because there was a large takeout order. We ordered burgers from the menu, the only special request was that burger would be gluten free. There were only 4 tables with patrons at 11:00 am. All restaurants should be able to handle both take out and dine in orders and serve patrons in a reasonable time. If gluten free required special attention or extra time they should have been honest about that. Patrons who arrived after us were served food. We requested a visit from the manager and he did not even visit our table. His explanation and attention would really have helped the situation. The bill was reduced by seven dollars not even the price of one burger. As a person who must be gluten free due to illness and who deliberately arrived early to avoid the lunch rush and wanted to help a small local business I was extremely disappointed. First the good stuff. The atmosphere is family friendly, lots of space and TVs, and a decent beer selection. Servers were abundant and knowledgeable. As to the burgers, we ordered medium rare and they came out medium. Found them to be made well in terms of thickness and appearance, but lacking in seasoning. The bun was nothing to write about. Average sesame. The fries are food service crinkle cut and seasoned, but not bad. The onion rings were average. Think batter but no texture. They were cooked enough though. Just noticed that they charged me for a Sprite when I ordered club soda. Basically water. Not the end of the world but typically no charge. Not a bad place for the game and burgers. read more

Horrible restaurant. You have to catch them on the right night to get food that is even cooked properly. Problem is, you never know which night is the right one. This is an addendum to a previous review (7/11/15). We have been back to Times on several occasions and am sorry to report their consistency is mediocre at best. The lure of a good burger (when they do it right) draws us back; but tonight was another example of poor quality. My wife ordered a medium burger and got a very well-done hockey puck. So I ate, and then she did later when a properly done burger was remade. Never saw a manager. I think it will be a long time before we return. read more

Hi, very disappointed in kitchen, waitress took order then our group waited and waited, food lukewarm, and disappointing and there were very few people in restaurant, doo dads were sooo salty unable to consume. The salad dressing was like water... Very disappointing, and will not participate in future gatherings here, waiters were very accommodating to the situation! I hope this enlightens your management to the kitchen staff, I like your restaurant and the food but the wait time is unacceptable. read more
