Cable above ground

Spectrum cable service is unreliable and customer service is unresponsive. Constant buffering is annoying and happens far too often. The pictures below are typical of the quality service you can expect. The orange cable is supposed to be buried however it lays on the ground as much as it's buried. I have called to have this fixed to no avail. The biggest problem is that the cable is laying across my neighbor's yard.

If you have anything to do today just reschedule it now because you'll waste over an hour just trying fix your service!

I have mixed feelings on this company as a whole. Let's start by saying the internet it self is…read moresuffice. That's pretty much the only compliment I can give out. I live in an area where they only have Xfinity and that is why I use them! I am strongly considering moving just to not have this service. Customer service is okay to say the least. They have an automated system that you can barely get ahold of anyone. When you opt out of receiving text messages they still send them. When I first signed up they had me pick the box up but my internet did not work so they sent out a technician. Come to find out the store actually gave me the wrong box. Later on I see they charged me $100 service fee for the technician coming out to replace the incorrect box. They have multiple internet outages and there is nothing you can do about it but wait. So, good luck if you work from home! My internet would not work properly for almost a week I called in every day! They finally sent someone out to "resolve the issue" and as soon as he left it was the same issue. So they sent a senior tech the very next day. Come to find out cords and the box needed to be replaced after only have it for 5 months! Of course they charged $100 to my account.

If I could give no stars I would. Spectrum has not once but twice upped my prices without proper…read morenotification. The incompetent workers they provide do not know what they are talking about or cannot speak proper English to notify you. My bill was increased from $60-$80 with no notification. When you call to cancel they take you through hell and back. Then proceeded to charge me $80 for 5 days of internet. I have already got 5 of my friends to discontinue service and will continue to make it my mission to run away business. I would NEVER recommend spectrum to anyone. Did I also mention they have constant outages? We were out of internet for a week with no change in monthly bill because remember they DO NOT prorate or refund. I will happily spend the same amount at any other place

Our business in Merriam KS continues to suffer from poor service - equipment goes down almost every…read moreother month. How is a business to function without internet (credit card), phone, wifi, security cameras, etc? They say the system is working - got a call at 6am and we go to the store and it's' not working. We were not told. Yesterday their recording said it would be fixed at 3pm, then it became 4 and then 5 and then it told us it's taking longer than expected. Hello. And today the same thing....first 1pm and now they say they can't tell us. This service sucks. We talked to leadership today and they said they have a cell based backup system but we have to pay to get it installed and pay a monthly fee. Why? We are already paying for a reliable system which spectrum is not providing. If Spectrum and their Leadership dept would realize their products and service are poor, then they would provide a business like ours this service. Again, that's what we originally signed up for. I guess it's time to look at Google Fiber and say goodbye to this unreliable service.
