This location comes staffed with folks ready to calm you down when you are angry, and willing to help you. Priceless. They efficiently handle folks that come in, register on a tablet, and get their issues, sales, questions, and whatnot resolved. I came in, because I am a business customer and was routed here by both my sales rep and the install tech support. When my new services was installed, I received an unwanted "free" spectrum WiFi set of devices that allows customers of Spectrum to connect to the Spectrum network. What do I need that for in my office? I was told to return it to a retail location. If you have ever received equipment from a cable company, you know that even if you don't use it, you are responsible for it at an unreasonable replacement cost, when the time comes to turn it back in. Well, needless to say, I don't want to remember that this equipment is sitting in a drawer some day, so I spent some time trying to figure out how to get it turned in. After several unsuccessful calls to installation and tech support, I was told by my sales rep to drop it at a retail store. Because I'd already been bounced around a bit, including jumping from the old location to this one, and a number of other mishaps unrelated to Spectrum in getting my new office established, I came in somewhat hot. I was immediately told by a sales associate that the equipment shouldn't be returned there. Ok. Only one thing registered in my brain; that you probably can't turn the equipment in by throwing it at someone's head. The dude could clearly see I was a tad off my rocker, and immediately started to tell me my options. He could absolutely accept the equipment and give me a receipt, but could not change my account to remove a service because he didn't have access to business accounts. Well, wait. That's what I need. I didn't want any changes to my account, and I wanted to turn in this worthless $600 pile of shrink wrapped equipment left in my office. So, yeah! Let's do "that!" He scanned a couple bar codes, gave me a receipt, and let me go my merry way with a smile. In all, I spent very little time there and left satisfied. So yeah. Spectrum... it's nice doing business with you :-)

Manager Jose never came to me even though I requested to speak him. Store 6016 in Overland Park Kansas! I never have bad support on spectrum cable or internet. You've always been helpful. Aaron said they were taking care of the problem but couldn't guarantee that the restocking fee would be deleted. Said the system was down. He also threatened me to remove me from the store because I told him to keep the phone after his poor customer lack of support. I'm not usually an early adopter, but the idea of being able to take my notebook into a place that doesn't have internet and be connected is a nerd's dream. As a family, we also like going on road trips, and I had this giddy vision that I when it's not my turn to drive, I could be riding shotgun with my notebook and getting some work done. Well, I should have heeded the red flags that went off when they required you to either by all the equipment up front (which was $200+) or submit to a 2-year contract. Now, I'm sitting here watching a download that I started before I went to bed last night with 6 hours left to go and longing for the days I had comcast (yeesh). Part of me thinks that the speed will get better over time, but the coverage here in KC is about as good as it can get. I think the problem may be the fiber cement siding on my house, but the connection doesn't get better next to the windows. The "mobile" works until you get about 1/2 mile outside of Kansas City and then disappears. It's supposed to switch to the nationwide 3G network if it can't connect to the Clear 4G one, but it has yet to do this. However, the 2nd star for this review is because I can go to a park around town and get internet (should that situation ever arise). Outside of that I pretty much think it's a bust and am counting down the days until July, 2012. If the world hasn't ended by then, I am soooo dumping them.

I live in Mid-town Kansas City (close to westport) and have found that my connection is on par with dial-ups I've had. (Only it costs $50 per month!) Whenever I call them (over a dozen times) they tell me that they're experiencing high volume and equalizing everyone's bandwidth. Evidently all times (even early morning like 3:00 am Central time) are "high volume". Of course I played with the modem for hours, my signal strength on the modem is always full strength, and the Clear website connection support shows that I'm getting full strength connection. Also, they claim that there are "no contracts" and maybe that's true now, but I got roped into a contract and they're going to charge me a huge fee simply because I'm moving out of the area and into a town with no Clear Internet available. thank god. Basically, if you are considering CLEAR internet, you need to RUN, FLY! get as far as you can from these scam artists!
