Alert 360 does terrific work. Their staff has gone above and beyond to ensure that my home is secured. Prior to having Alert 360, I just used a Ring. Not knowing that a Ring would not be the best way to secure my home, I was educated by one of their sales consultants in a way that was informative. Sometimes when you have sales folk trying to sell you something it doesn't seem solid and genuine. My system is what I needed and is extremely affordable. I had used them for my business and home security. I added a new company to do my video security monitoring and changed to them for the rest of my security package. I then cancelled my service with CSG. They cancelled my business account correctly, but after I jumped thru the hoops to cancel my home account I find that they have been still billing me for the last year. They even auto renewed my contract for another year even when their system showed they were not connected to my security system any longer. In reviewing my bank account I finally noticed that I have been paying $30.45 for the last year. I contacted them to handle the matter and they stated they never received my e-mail and that I needed to send it again and they would not credit me back any of the paid amounts. I want to give CSG 5 stars as the monitoring has been great but I cant due to the overall service. The gentleman that came out to consult us on a home security system was great to work with and got us installed on monitored very quickly. The issue came when we kept having issues with our detached shop motion detector (which the sales guy recommended vs door contacts). CSG was quick to come swap out for a better motion detector and test the transmitter to resolve the situation but we just kept having issues with it over a period of 2 years so we bypassed it (now on year 3). I've called customer service multiple times over these 3 years to try and get the motion detector in the shop swapped out for door contacts but every time, they want to charge me either an additional monthly cost plus another 3 year contract or the cost of the door contacts plus an install fee. After escalating it to management, they were still not interested in making it right. Given that the sales gentleman suggested we have the shop motion vs door contacts in the first place, and the fact we were never able to get reliable service for our shop, CSG should be willing to swap out motion for door contacts in our shop or just disable it and install door contacts at no additional cost or agreement extension. It boils down to customer service and making sure the customer has a working system, and if not, taking care of it. I've always recommended CSG to family and friends who have got systems installed, but afraid I cant do that anymore. UPDATE 4/28/2017 I gave 2 stars in my initial review. Almost immediately Jimmy called to understand and try to rectify the situation. He passed me on to Michael (GM of KC office). Both were very understanding, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Part of this is my own fault for not doing more research when choosing a security company for my home. Either home security companies rank at the bottom of customer service with cable TV, telecommunications, etc., or this company is absolutely horrible. If you have an alarm issue and need a tech, you will have to wait three days (minimum) for one to come out. Personally, if I am paying for an alarm, I don't want my home unprotected for three days (minimum) while waiting for a tech. This should have a quicker turn around time consider the need. When I first signed up I had repeated problems that would be "fixed" and a week or so later more issues. I tried to cancel being they could not correct the issue, but they refused, offering to fix it again and giving me free service for a few months. Apparently the threat to cancel gets you a tech that can actually fix your problem. Today I woke up to a power outage. Four hours after the power came on I received a call that they detected a power outage. On the ball there! To reset my system so the alarm would work as required, I had to set off the alarm. Not a huge issue, except that the siren has to sound for 30 seconds. This may not seem like a long time unless you have a dog that is scared of big noises and neighbors that you do not want to hate you. I mentioned there needs to be a better way to reset the alarm signal. I was told it has to sound for 30 seconds for the signal to send. This is BS based on the random times I have caused the alarm to go off accidentally and immediately turned it off, sometimes when the rapid beeping is going and before the siren sounds, or well before 30 seconds when the siren is sounding. They somehow get the notice and call me. Hopefully spring storms don't cause many power outages. I can't wait for the contract to end so I can switch service. I may even buy out my contract if I find a service that actually provides good service. If you are looking for an alarm company, skip Central Security Group. read more

An update, this made it to the office of the general manager who decided to release my liability on the contract. I am in the middle of a 3 year contract and I've moved an hour outside of the St. Louis Metropolitan area and when I called to switch service to my new address I was told that they do not provide service at my new location but that I am legally bound to services for the next 2 years!! Oh but they said they would cut me a "deal" and meet me halfway at 740 dollars! Ridiculous if you ask me! So much for what I was told about the company having service "virtually everywhere" they also aren't afraid of the bbb and stated they will look at the fact that they "tried to settle" with me. read more

The company is not responsive and customer service is poor. They will call to confirm appointments and then they do not even show up. I was promised that after our contract was up we would go to month to month.Well come to find out that was a lie and it is actually another 1 year contract. Skip this company for sure!!! read more
