I called Polar and within minutes had a call back and within an hour had a service person out to look at our unit. Shortly after that, everything is up and running. The service person (JT) was fast, efficient and personable. Update: so fast forward a bit...and it was time for us to replace our a/c and furnace. I got multiple estimates and was very pleased that not only was Polar Aire competively priced but they did a great write up of their estimate and emailed (type written with multiple options explained and quoted) whereas the other companies scribbled out their estimates. (I was comparing a lot of different efficiencies and units so this was very appreciated. As well I recently got a water heater from them. Now I have met several of their technicians and they were all a pleasure to work with...timely, professional etc. I love their appointment confirmation calls and texts and how they follow up to see if you are happy with their work. Highly recommend.

Instead of paying the fee again for their mediocre service, I had someone else out (great thorough service) and they put Freon in. What kind of technician isn't checking Freon when they're in there? Such a half baked visit, will not be back.

Austin was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain what he was seeing, why it mattered, and what to watch for going forward. No pressure, no upsell, just clear communication and solid work. Given the condition of the unit, he did a really thorough job and left everything running the way it should have been all along. I also want to call out Jessica in the office, who was incredibly helpful coordinating everything and making the process easy from the scheduling side. That part often gets overlooked, but it matters and she handled it well. Overall, a smooth, professional experience across the board. I'd absolutely work with Ladd Service Company again.

I debated between…read morewhich company to go with for too long before just calling them and getting on the books as my furnace was dripping a considerable amount of water heading into the winter. While it looks like they offer Request-a-Quote (score!) I ended up just calling them as I was out and about. They gave me a two hour window the very next day, then called before they showed up. The tech was the definition of efficient. Friendly enough, not much chit chat, just more or less there to look into things and get the job done. My only slight issue was just a few things that were lost in translation -- they had the address wrong, were not close on spelling my name right, and then the price. They told me they could fix the issue for $135 which I agreed to, then was a bit surprised when the bill was for $209 as the final bill included the parts & labor. No biggie and a very fair price for the tune up and replacement, just would've been nice to know the actual total. The total price did match up with my expectations, so no biggie, just worth noting as I feel like maybe they could automate their bookings/billing just a tad better. TL:DR; I appreciate how fast they were, how they diagnosed and fixed it, and the price point. I'd call them again if the need arises.

The service has been consistently excellent, with very friendly technicians who do a great job of presenting you with options without pressuring you to spend more money that you should. I can't guarantee that their prices are the cheapest in town; but I'm willing to pay slightly more for a company that I know will stand by its work. I have to give one specific example -- we recently had a technician stop by because our A/C seemed to be running less efficiently than usual. As he went down the steps of our garage to begin his inspection, he slipped on a workout mat that I had forgotten at the foot of the stair -- It was completely my fault and I felt horrible. He seemed to hurt his knee and to be in some discomfort. I would have absolutely understood if he had called off the service to return at a later date, or if he had offered rushed or less than courteous service. Of course, he did nothing of the kind, but offered the usual patient and thorough service that I've become accustomed to. He inspected our system and cleaned our A/C unit, which fixed the inefficiencies that we had been experiencing. The kicker, after all this, is that we were charged nothing at all because the service agreement from our A/C purchase, which I had completely forgotten about, was still in effect! Our technician, of course, reminded us of this. Great company. I recommend them with confidence.

I called around and found another certified HVAC specialist who offered to come out and look at it. They spent 30 minutes at the house and had me up and running for only $75. The fixed the fan and filled it with freon as well as looking at the rest of the system to make sure I was up to par. I called and canceled my service contract the next day.
