In September 2023, our AC was diagnosed as low on refrigerant, and we paid $463.51 to have refrigerant added. No leak search was recommended or documented. Years later, when we formally complained, Anthony admitted in writing that a leak search should have been offered. Unfortunately, by the time the problem resurfaced in 2026, major components were no longer covered the way they would have been had the issue been properly investigated earlier. In July 2026, Anthony again charged us to add refrigerant. Five days later, our entire system failed. We hired an independent certified HVAC technician who spent over four hours evaluating the system and identified multiple issues, including that it had been overcharged with refrigerant. While he could not definitively say that caused the compressor failure, he explained that an overcharged system can place significant stress on a compressor. What disappointed us most wasn't just the HVAC work--it was how the company handled the situation afterward. We experienced conflicting information from different employees, canceled appointments, and repeated communication problems. We tried to resolve everything privately through detailed emails and documentation before ever considering a public review. Although Anthony acknowledged that a leak search should have been recommended in 2023, they denied reimbursement. We also requested the HVAC Manager's documentation supporting their decision, but that request was never answered. After exhausting every reasonable effort to resolve this directly, we filed complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies and shared our experience publicly so other homeowners can make an informed decision. If you're considering Anthony, my advice is simple: get a second opinion before authorizing expensive repairs or replacing your HVAC system. Keep copies of every invoice, every email, and every recommendation. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric.

The installation in my house was more complicated than I had anticipated, since the old wiring to my ancient thermostat was inadequate for the Nest. Marty replaced the wiring, and did everything that needed to be done with expertise. We have been a Patriot HVAC customer since we purchased an entire Rheem HVAC system for our home on…read more29 April 2014. We have had super equipment reliability across twelve (12) years. On 12 January 2026, we noticed the house was cold when we woke up. After looking at our thermostat, I tried to change the batteries to see if it fixed the problem which it did not. We called Patriot at 10:06 am, explained our problem, and got on their list to send out a technician. Mike arrived at 11:00 am to check out system to determine the problem. I explained what we experienced with our heating system that morning and then he began his trouble shooting. After checking the furnace fault codes and operation, Mike came upstairs to look at the thermostat. He stated he needed to hardwire the thermostat to the system which he did in a few minutes. When the furnace turned on, Mike went downstairs to monitor fault codes on the furnace. He stated the codes cleared and that is all we needed for the fix. Our heating system has been working just fine since this repair. We always receive prompt service response from Patriot as well as service we trust when Mike has performed work in our home.
