Knowledgeable staff that can answer your questions directly, no need to transfer to third-party vendors. Office personally set up our warranties for us on a whole AC system and furnace. Priced Right Heating & Cooling - Get a trane. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Lenexa, Kansas

James is very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and reasonable. I recommend this company to everyone- just great, honest people!

I first had two HVAC technicians from two other companies check our system. One said the system broke down and was not working at all, and a new system had to be installed. The other said the compressor was leaking refrigerant, and either the compressor had to be replaced to or a new system had to be installed. Then the Priced Right technician came and just refilled the refrigerant, and that was it. This was two summers ago, and our system is still working well, without any issues. read more

Jim and his team are amazing! We needed a new system and they had the best estimate and gave us a lot of choices to find what would work in our budget. They showed up on time, did all of the work they could before having to shut down the ac so the house was comfortable even though it was 106 today! Very efficient and respectful of our home and property, they left the areas they worked on better than they found it. Friendly, not pushy and even upgraded our humidifier wiring to work with our nest thermostat for free! I highly recommend them for service or a new install! read more

Priced Right Heating & Cooling - 2 stage Lennox furnace - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Lenexa, Kansas

I messed up my evaporator fan trying to clean it. Jim came out on short notice. When he recognized that the nature of the board issues was beyond what he had available, he told me so. And he didn't charge me a dime for the visit! Integrity. Trustworthy and capable. read more

Priced Right was actually the 3rd HVAC outfit I called to look at my furnace. My furnace is fine, but I just wanted to be preventative and have it checked over for peace of mind for the rest of winter. This was the week of the "Polar Vortex". So, I called KB Complete to check it out. KB comes out & well the CO levels on the exhaust were way high (500 when it should be under 100). Now, the CO inside the house was fine, it was just the exhaust vent. Still a concern. They said it's "probably" the heat exchanger (though the flame test was fine) but to diagnose it, it would cost so much I might as well buy a new furnace ($3500). I called Midwest for a second opinion. They came out and said, it probably is a problem between the heat exchangers, and it would cost so much just to diagnose it, you might as well by a new one. Estimate was also $3500. So, I was bummed out, having to buy a new furnace. I called Priced Right for an estimate. Jim comes out and said he didn't want the job because my furnace is in a tricky spot and it might take too long to do and he didn't want to do that to us. But then he said, "Honestly, I don't think anything is wrong with your furnace". He checked it over (just because he was there) and said he sees no indication of exchanger issues. He also was baffled that they could say it was exhanger issues without having looked at them. He goes outside and noticed the exhaust vent was blowing right into the intake valve. I fixed the exhaust direction and he re-tested the CO levels and lo and behold, the CO levels were back to normal. It was literally that easy to fix, and I do NOT need a new furnace. Priced Right for life! read more

A few years ago, I was in need of a new a/c unit. A couple of my neighbors recommended Priced Right Heating and Cooling, so I gave them a call. I ended up purchasing my new a/c and furnace from them. Their service and commitment to their customer is unparalleled. They are prompt, professional, and courteous but most of all they are always reasonably priced. I always feel like valued customer. I also love that they are locally owned. What a great company! read more

On Monday we woke up to a cold house. After a couple of reset attempts that did not restore heat, I knew I had to call for help. I did some research and found a few good options. The first heating company I called could not visit us for days. Since this was one of the coldest March weeks in many years, that would not work. Next I called Priced Right. The owner answered the phone and sent Paul to my house that morning. Paul did a thorough examination and determined and showed me that the inducer motor had failed. Since my furnace is 30 years old, the part was scarce, additionally a tornado had recently hit the part warehouse. So my options were a 2-3 week wait and a major investment in a 30 year old furnace, or replace the system. Paul did a great job walking me through the options. Whenever I buy something this expensive I get a second opinion. A second heating company visited and confirmed everything Paul had told me. He also walked me through options with this company. I am sure they would do a fine job, but the price was substantially higher and the functionality would be the same. The only hitch was that Priced Right was booked until next week. I talked with Jim, the owner, and since we were without heat he found a way to accommodate us and the new system was put in today. He and his crew did a great job and were easy to work with, the new system looks great, they used tarps and kept my house clean, and the heat is back on! I highly recommend them! read more

Our AC stopped working on Friday afternoon. I called Priced Right around 3:30 and Jim was at my house by 4pm. He got it running again and patiently answered all my questions. He could have charged me more for thawing it out but he didn't. Jim will be my first call next time for sure. read more

This was my first time using Priced Right. I chose them because I thought I needed a new furnace, and a number of their reviews mention satisfaction with service and price for replacements. I came home on a Friday night to a house that was 58 degrees. By morning it was in the 40's, and I called Priced Right first thing. Jim was here in about three hours, having completed two calls before mine. He called 30 minutes before he expected to arrive, and was very prompt. My furnace is 16 years old. A different company recommended replacing it and the a/c nearly two years ago, when they diagnosed a very expensive problem based on a high pitched noise (a bad ball bearing in a motor requiring the entire mechanism be replaced). I decided to let it go until it died. The noise was gone the following winter, and it worked fine until now. So Friday night into Saturday I feared the worst. But this time had nothing to do with that motor. Jim determined within minutes that my igniter wasn't working. He had the specific part on his truck because it's common to many Lennox heaters. Unfortunately he had to work pretty hard to replace it because of corrosion, and because my particular heater is poorly designed for repairs. I was impressed by his genuinely pleasant manner and attitude throughout the visit. And the price was great: a service call fee, a charge for weekend work, plus the part. He said my furnace was a good model, and should have a few more years in it. Aside from being very relieved that it's not time for a new furnace, I was happy to have had such a good repair experience. I plan to use Priced Right in the future. read more

Had a little trouble getting a hold of someone - had sent an email request and didn't hear from them, but based on reviews, also called them. I explained that we needed to replace the furnace in our upstairs and the guy told me he didn't want to bother with it. Okidoki. read more

Our A/C went kaput right as the summer heat was getting going. We got three bids. Priced Right was not only the cheapest, they also had the best warranty and the best air conditioner on the market (a Trane). They were here exactly when they said they'd be here, friendly, and super helpful - they even fixed an issue where someone previously had glued things down wrong (nothing should have been glued at all). Everything is working perfectly now. We will never go anywhere else. read more

After a long day at work the last thing you want to do is come home only to find out your air conditioner shooting blanks. With an outside temp of almost 100, we knew that this could not wait till business hours tomorrow. After checking out online reviews and giving Price Right a call for an estimate we knew we were on the right track. They stated that one of their guys would arrive in about an hour... 15 minutes later Jim was standing on our front step. Very honest and down to earth guy that answered all of our questions. Unfortunately we needed to purchase a new part, but it was quickly replaced and we were back in business. Awesome experience! Tip: ask for a discount if you pay with cash! read more

A/C went out at 9:30PM...Started looking up places to call and found Priced Right on Yelp. He was the only place that actually answered the phone and it was way passed normal business hours. I told him it wasn't an emergency and I thought I could wait it out over night as long as he could fit me in the next day. He said it shouldn't be a problem and took my number and said he would call with an ETA in the morning. By 10AM I was still waiting for him to call so I decided to ring him back because I was hoping to maybe go into work at noon. He said he had me on the list and it would be mid afternoon. He showed up around 2:30PM and I was please he was able to stop at all with less than 24 hours notice. Come to find out it was only a capacitor on my outside unit. One hour worth of work and a part it cost me $199. I was really happy we didn't have to spring for new A/C unit. He did say that my unit is aging (14 years old) and we should budget to replace it or at the very least keep a reserve for when it does finally kick the bucket. Sound advice and I appreciated his honesty. Great experience for a potentially bad day which was diverted by Priced Right Heating and Cooling! read more

After the fantastic service Provided by James on our A/C repair, there is no one else that I would call for my HVAC needs. Professional, prompt, thorough and fair- not to mention great pricing as well. What else could anyone ask for? read more

After a couple dozen HVAC estimates and getting prices all over the place...it was nice to stumble on a company like Priced Right that didn't try to over sell me on a packaged 'deal' that didn't fit my families needs or tried to replace equipment that still had years of life left in it. Jim also made two house calls to answer questions in person rather than over the phone which helped us understand the work that was to be done. Priced Right replaced a 17 year old air conditioner, installed a humidifier, enlarged our duct work and added an air filtration system all for $1,000 less than the nearest other estimate. I've already recommend this company to co-workers and will continue to do so. read more

Our furnace stopped running overnight. Jim showed up the next morning on a Saturday. He quickly identified the problem and got it up an running in no time without trying to sell any new unneeded parts. He even showed me how to address the problem if it happens in the future. Really appreciate Jim's honesty and integrity in response to a weekend service call. Will definitely use and recommend Priced Right Heating and Cooling to others in the future. read more

On Saturday our AC started leaking water everywhere. It was original to the house, and we had pushed getting it replaced. No longer. Had a few estimators come out Sunday to give us some bids. Called Jim up, and he gave me an estimate over the phone. Came out Monday, took a loo at the work, and we signed the contact. He was able to get the work done in record time and at a reasonable price. He and his tech were very professional, we could not have been more satisfied with their work! read more

After much research, we were really impressed w/ Priced Right. Great price. Great service and both Jim and Paul did an exceptional job on the installation of our new Lennox HVAC system. I highly recommend them. read more

I was in the market for a new gas furnace and ac unit. Priced Right came recommended by many people. I received quotes from them as well as from other companies. I did not feel pressured to upgrade to a unit that I didn't need, nor was I pushed to make an immediate decision. They showed up exactly when they said they would and got to work with the installation. The unit fit perfectly in the space and they left the area cleaner than when they arrived. They were friendly, but worked efficiently and the install was complete in no time. Their price also came in much lower than the other bids I received. I would definitely suggest talking to them about your HVAC needs! read more

My wife and I are beyond happy with the service we received from Jim. Jim was open and honest during the quote process for a new A/C and furnace. He educated us on what would work best for our home. He came out a second time to talk with my wife and I and answer our questions before we made our decision. Priced Right offered the best combination of price and service. Jim showed up early on the day of our install and everything looked amazing at the end. We could not be happier with our decision. read more

Appreciate the quick call back and a really great estimate of what time I could expect service. Since it was 100 degrees in the shade, I'm certain I would be in line at any company. Since Jim and Price Right have so many great reviews it's a wonder he was able to fit me in the same day as my call! Jim introduced himself & got to work without hesitation. By the time I went outside he had the diagnosis finished & explained what I would need, including costs & he had a replacement on his truck. After the AC started he checked the refrigerant level and said I'd be good to go! If you don't call him for your next heating or cooling fix, then you might be sorry later. I know who I'm calling for my next service! read more

Excellent service and prompt response to our Sunday morning call to fix furnace. Jim was at our home and had the furnace repaired in less than 2 hours. Price was reasonable, especially for a weekend call. Jim was truly a pro, diagnosed and fixed issue in short order. Needed a new HVAC system and, after plenty of shopping around, found the best price and service with Priced Right. Jim was great to work with and we will use his company for all our HVAC needs going forward. read more

We were so thoroughly impressed with this service from start to finish. Jim and his team were super fast in their response time, clearly communicated through the assessment process and taught me things about how our HVAC system should function and how our 20 year old model had been failing us. They put a great looking new pad under the outside unit and protected all our flooring while replacing the furnace inside. Best of all, they came in WELL BELOW the price compared to everyone else we'd researched. We literally saved thousands on an entire system. Professional, courteous, and a generous follow up the next week after installation. I couldn't believe how stress-free the whole process was. We are fans of this local business! read more

Said they could get out to my place for ac, took my info then told me they don't work in kcmo. Also service call is $70 not $60 like in the bio plus $50 more on Sunday. Maybe a good company, but wasted my time calling. read more

The furnace went out so we decided to replace both the furnace and AC. Priced Right came in under half of what Bob Hamilton wanted. Jim the owner came out himself not four hours after we called and gave us an estimate and didn't try to upsell us. Overall, we are very happy with the service they gave us and they couldn't be nicer. Today they even sent us a dozen of cookies to thank us for our business. We will absolutely call them in the future and recommend them to friends and family. read more

Our furnace quit working at about 10PM on a Friday night. I made an online request for service through our home warranty companies website at about 11PM that same night. First thing Saturday morning I received a call from Jim at Priced Right Heating and Cooling - they had received my request and would be out within an hour or two. Jim called again a little later to say he was on his way... Once he was here the problem was quickly identified and resolved. Very courteous and friendly - the timeline mentioned on the phone was kept and verified with the follow-up call. Priced Right did the job better than expected! I recommend Priced Right to everyone, deal in confidence! read more

I was referred to Priced Right by my home warranty company after their first selection never called me back, or never answered their phone. Jim took my call late on Dec. 23rd and came out first thing Christmas Eve and was able to get my furnace up and running, and explain what I needed to do in order to avoid a repeat of my furnace not running. He was very professional, polite and I'm glad I made the call! You will be too. read more

We moved to Overland Park at the first of the year and knew we needed a new heating/cooling system. I can't afford the big-name companies so I was looking for a reputable smaller company. Yelp steered me to Priced Right Heating and Cooling, and the reviews are right on the mark! I got a new Lennox system (16 SEER AC, 95% efficiency furnace) at a price that was substantially lower than another bid I got, for an Amana system. Jim was very helpful and informative when giving me a bid, explaining several options, and he even helped arrange financing. He and his crew were very professional and nice, and they got the job done in one day. Believe the ratings you see here on Yelp! read more

These guys were excellent. They were able to get out to us with fairly short notice and fixed us all up for a fair price. We'll be calling them for all of our HVAC needs in the future. read more

I made the right decision! When our AC stopped working mid July, I started to look for the right company. I contacted several companies. One gave us a quote of almost $5000 for a unit. Another company told us $3000 for the same unit. PR's price was in the $2000-$2400 range for the exact same unit. Cost was not the only thing that we loved about PR. Jim was a professional. He was informative, friendly and honest. Jim and his friend did a great job and were very clean. In the future, I will have them take care anything HVAC related. I highly recommend PR if you are looking for an affordable yet quality and fast service. read more

Initially, I thought this company deserved my positive review. However, it has only been one (1) year since I paid them over $500 to replace the fan in my A/C, and it has now failed again. I called them and requested a repair. The person I talked to (I believe his name was Jim Ferguson) started bickering with me about how long that fan's warranty should be honored. It was replaced in August, 2015, so, just 1 year, 2 months later, here I am left with paying over $500 for a year's worth of service! I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this vendor!! read more

Called Priced Right on a Saturday morning when our heater stopped, he was able to make it out that same day. The tech was thorough, accurate and quick. We called this company based on reviews and regretted wasting our time. We had a critical medical situation and our a/c went out after hours. We were told the on-call guy would call us. He didn't. When we called back for a status 4 hours later, we stressed the medical issue. She said she would page him again. 30 minutes later he did indeed call - to tell us he was too busy and to call another company. Luckily we found one that cared about people. And it was a 15 minute fix. Will never even consider calling these people again. Lesson learned. read more

We couldn't be happier with the customer service and expertise we received with Priced Right! The owner (Jim) was present during install, and the technician with him was extremely knowledgeable, both with many years' experience. No over sell, no pressure, and were very respectful of our home by cleaning up and covering up carpeting, etc. Jim helped up get the best bang for our buck when trying to decide what system to go with, and we are very happy with our purchase so far. There is a BIG difference going with a small business such as Priced Right that takes pride in their products and customer service, and knows their trade inside and out....we are extremely pleased! read more

Our AC went out during the hottest week of the year so far. We knew it was needing replaced but was scared to make a big decision too quick but really needed relief. Jim was out within 15 minutes to quote us a price. We never felt pressured and feel like he gave us all of the info and more about each option he had. We didn't even bother calling anyone else for quotes. We knew the price was right and knew we wouldn't find a more honest and professional person. Thanks for the great service Jim.
