I can not imagine how painful they are to deal with if they are not expecting a $20,000+ check from you. I needed a complete HVAC replacement so major payday for them. I just needed someone to give me a recommendation and an estate. Set an appointment for noon the next day. On the day of they called told me it was going to be more like 12:30. Then around 12:30 they called and said it would be 1:30. As it got close to 1:30 they called and asked for 2:00. I told them 2:00 was as late as I could wait. At 2:00 they called and told me he was on his way and would be there in 15. Now I am going to be late for my other commitments. At 2:15 the guy calls and tells me he is only NOW leaving and it will be 40 min. To their credit they were VERY polite and, unlike a lot of places, were appropriately embarrassed and apologetic for the mistakes. So I was impressed there, but when you just keep making mistakes and fail to make good on every commitment there is really no option so canceled and called another company.

One was the recommendation from a woman I went out on a date with earlier in the week, and the second was that I liked the interaction with Aaron a lot better. Besides a part installed in the first day of installation being defective (which I didn't have to catch, the techs figured it out immediately) and a second day having to happen, I couldn't be happier. Everyone loves how cool my air is, including myself. I thought I left a review, and when looking on KCPL and seeing that they recommend a contractor come out to service my AC, I thought of only Pro Platinum. I won't say ignore people with 0 friends and one review, but those just feel fake. Maybe they did have a bad experience, but I saw what happened when some things went wrong, and Aaron and his crew made it right, were very professional and respectful of my house (which was new to me at the time). We have been a Patriot HVAC customer since we purchased an entire Rheem HVAC system for our home on…read more29 April 2014. We have had super equipment reliability across twelve (12) years. On 12 January 2026, we noticed the house was cold when we woke up. After looking at our thermostat, I tried to change the batteries to see if it fixed the problem which it did not. We called Patriot at 10:06 am, explained our problem, and got on their list to send out a technician. Mike arrived at 11:00 am to check out system to determine the problem. I explained what we experienced with our heating system that morning and then he began his trouble shooting. After checking the furnace fault codes and operation, Mike came upstairs to look at the thermostat. He stated he needed to hardwire the thermostat to the system which he did in a few minutes. When the furnace turned on, Mike went downstairs to monitor fault codes on the furnace. He stated the codes cleared and that is all we needed for the fix. Our heating system has been working just fine since this repair. We always receive prompt service response from Patriot as well as service we trust when Mike has performed work in our home. We highly recommend Patriot HVAC.

I have never had any issues or repairs, but they come out and do my maintenance twice a year. Today I had a scheduled maintenance visit with Tara, and I can't say enough good things about her. She was not only professional and thorough, but she really took the time to go above and beyond in explaining things to me in a way that actually made sense. One thing that really stood out was how she walked me through how, why, and when to flush my water heater. She also let me know that they do plumbing too if I'd like help. Honestly, I had no idea this was even something I was supposed to be doing, and she didn't just mention it in passing she made sure to answer all my questions and explain why it mattered. I signed up for their annual maintenance plan ($199/yr, 2 service visits). They came out to do the…read moreAC checkout, since the system was 1 year old. Everything checked out fine. I didn't appreciate the $2,000 in "stuff" that I was offered to buy, but, I haven't seen an HVAC company that doesn't do that. This was on a Friday morning. The problem didn't arise until my wife and I tried to take showers on Saturday. There was no hot water. Went down to check the hot water heather, which is next to the furnace. Instead of the dial being on "hot", it was on "pilot". How it got turned to pilot, I have no proof, but, I would imagine that the tech from Summit, either accidently, or for some reason on purpose, turned it to pilot. I sent a message thru the Summit HVAC website about what had happened. I got a call from the service manager on Monday. He said that there was no way, no possibility whatsoever, that his tech, in any way, shape, or form, could have moved that dial on the water heater. When I said "I guess it's a mystery", he said "sure is". But, he reassured me that Summit was still there to take care of me. I told him "that wasn't going to happen". I said I wanted out of the annual agreement and half my money back (I had paid the full $199). I got less back than I asked for, but, that is another story for perhaps another time. Needless to say, I do not need these people in my home. But, for everyone else, if you want techs that are infallible, and a company that will stand behind the infallibility of those techs, perhaps Summit HVAC is for you.
