We hired Brandon Brooks to do a prewire of a new construction house last fall. He was also supposed to come back and install the speakers in 6 zones for our home audio system, install 8 exterior cameras and wall mount several TVs. He came out to do the prewire in August and ran Cat5/Cat6 and coaxial cables all over the house and some on the exterior but did not terminate any of them. He stated that he never terminates the lines during a new construction because they often get ripped off or damaged during the drywalling process. He invoiced us for full payment of the prewire job which was a little over $1300.00. When we got to the point where we needed him to come back and terminate all of his lines it was early November and difficult to get him to settle on a date because he was into his Christmas light installations and prioritized those jobs. When he finally came out he terminated approx 20% of the lines and they installed the speakers over a 3-4 hour time period. He left around lunch time and stated that he needed some Junction boxes to install the cameras and would be back to finish the remaining lines. That was Nov 12 and I had the junction boxes at the house on Nov 15. I could not reach him until the 19th when he said that he was sick. We were supposed to close on our house on Nov 23rd but could not have our final inspection with cable hanging out of walls in every room in the house. I told him that I had an electrician friend that knew a bit about A/V wiring and I would hire him to help with what he could but I would let him know what wasn't finished. I paid my electrician friend $500 for spending just about the entire weekend at the house helping us get all of this figured out. For some reason he or his brother had taken all if our brand new components out of their respective boxes and everything was just strewn on the floor in the basement. i am talking an 8 camera security system, an amplifier, home audio controller, ethernet switch and the components to the powered subwoofer. I had no idea which cables and power cords went with what and everything was super dusty from the house construction. None of the lines were labeled so we literally spent 2 days toning lines to figure what was where, numbering them, trying to reroute lines that had gotten placed incorrectly, terminating the lines and installing the exterior cameras. In additional to what I paid the electrician I spent more than $100 on RJ45 jacks, outlet faces, a toner and equipment to terminate the lines. Mind you I had already paid Brandon for the line install and termination. My friend was able to make the house look finished enough to get us past the inspection but there were several lines that appeared to have good ends but still tested bad. I was finally able to get Brandon back out there on Dec 19th where he hung one camera and fixed another that wasn't working properly. When he left he said that he still needed to bring wall plates that were were owed and that he could reposition any of the other cameras during his next visit. He still didn't terminate the exterior Cat5 and coaxial lines and one of the coaxial lines in the basement which I didn't notice until after he left. Still today I have a line behind our living room TV that tests fine but won't work for playing TV audio through the speakers. Per Brandon he guarantees his lines and work but I have called and texted him multiple times over the past several months with absolutely no response. He may do good work and his prices were better than a few other quotes that we got but he has not stood behind his word on this project which is why we ultimately went with him. He seemed to have no problem that we were not interested in installing a 25k system in our home. The job would have paid him 3-4k when it was all said and done so I don't know if he decided that we were too small of a job for him or he just didn't want to clean up the mess that he left us with. Either way it was wrong. He never offered any amount of our payment back for the prewire even though he didn't complete the job and he knew we had to pay someone else to do so. read more

Brandon did wonderful job. We did two tv installation on wall. He did all the bracket installation , measurement etc. and finally when we opened our new tv which we bought online found out LCD tv screen was broken. Brandon is so nice person, he waited until we finished talking with the store and he packed the tv back to the box , gave us ride in his truck , went to the store , came back with new tv. .He didn't charge anything extra. Brandon, the owner of Fuzion Audio, did a fantastic job on my home in Blue Springs. He mounted 2 tv, one being on a 180 degree swivel. He wired my entire house with cat 6 lines the led down to a central location. He installed speakers in my kitchen, living room, master bedroom/bathroom, guest bathroom and on the patio (all of which had independent volume controls. He also installed a 4 camera system (3 outside and 1 inside) that has a dvr backup as well as an online backup which allows it to save to an offsite location and syncs to my phone.
