We had no idea how much they would make our new dream home even better. We were building our dream home, and our builder introduced us to Simplicity. I'm a pretty big techno geek and have worked in home automation in the past, so I thought that I had a pretty good idea on how we would automate our house. But Joe and his team brought more ideas that really made a difference. They walked the house with us when it was only a shell. We talked through how we use entertainment, what games the children like, how we would use each room and outdoor seating area. In the end, we got a lot more use for pretty small change in budget. We didn't realize that home automation needs such a strong wifi backbone. But we have outstanding coverage throughout our house. And also in our neighbors house. We can use our wifi in almost every room in my neighbor's house, except for the far corner of his sub-basement. My daughter uses our wifi at the neighborhood pool. The best part about working with Simplicity is that they took all of these technologies to run our house and put them into easy to use controls. We have two types of handheld remotes for everything, as well as touchpads mounted in common areas. Since I am the only old school techno geek in the family, the controls had to be very simple to use, and these are. If we had to do this over again, we would have involved Simplicity much earlier in the building process. We could have saved a lot on our electrical plan and had a lot more automation for relatively simple things. In particular, lighting and window shades. We probably would have had 30% less physical light switches and let the controller turn on and off lights based on our normal usage patterns. Same with window shades. We have a beautiful back yard and that wall is full windows. Awesome from noon on but hard on the eyes in the morning. Especially before coffee. We could have automated all of that and almost never had to touch a button. If you are looking to automate a new or existing home, talk to these guys. I'm very impressed with our results.

I like that there is no contract with them, unlike most of the large national providers. They were able to utilize the system the previous homeowners installed from ADT, which saved us a significant amount of money. The biggest issue I've had with them is the responsiveness of their sales team. It took a long time for us to get in touch with the salesperson and we really had to work to move the install along, which surprised me considering that the sooner the system was connected, the sooner MVS got paid. That being said, when the batteries have gone low, we've been contacted very quickly by MVS to let us know. I may or may not continue using them, but if I were looking for a company today, I would look hard at other companies as well.

We took the phone in and were assured we would be called after some tests were run on the phone. Got a call a few hours later with some not so good news. They told me that they had done several checks on the phone, changed screens a few times, and were still having the problems. They would need to keep it over night to do a few more things. Received a call from Richard the next day. He concluded that the phone was actually bent and that's what was causing the "Ghost touching". I had exterior cables run to the exterior, but when I got around to installing cameras to them I couldn't find the drops for them, even where Greg said they should be. It turns out during the construction process, they were sealed behind the drywall and no longer accessible from the conduit where they were originally run. They came out and found them in the wall space where they were supposed to be, but inaccessible by hand, and helped me recover them years after the original build. Thank you and 5 stars!
