Spectrum wireless and cable company retail location. This is a new retail location selling Internet, phone (landline and wireless), cable TV, local stations, etc. Business customers are served through sales people you must contact through the spectrum web site. This location comes staffed with folks ready to calm you down when you are angry, and willing to help you. Priceless. They efficiently handle folks that come in, register on a tablet, and get their issues, sales, questions, and whatnot resolved. I came in, because I am a business customer and was routed here by both my sales rep and the install tech support. When my new services was installed, I received an unwanted "free" spectrum WiFi set of devices that allows customers of Spectrum to connect to the Spectrum network. What do I need that for in my office? I was told to return it to a retail location. If you have ever received equipment from a cable company, you know that even if you don't use it, you are responsible for it at an unreasonable replacement cost, when the time comes to turn it back in. Well, needless to say, I don't want to remember that this equipment is sitting in a drawer some day, so I spent some time trying to figure out how to get it turned in. After several unsuccessful calls to installation and tech support, I was told by my sales rep to drop it at a retail store. Because I'd already been bounced around a bit, including jumping from the old location to this one, and a number of other mishaps unrelated to Spectrum in getting my new office established, I came in somewhat hot. I was immediately told by a sales associate that the equipment shouldn't be returned there. Ok. Only one thing registered in my brain; that you probably can't turn the equipment in by throwing it at someone's head. The dude could clearly see I was a tad off my rocker, and immediately started to tell me my options. He could absolutely accept the equipment and give me a receipt, but could not change my account to remove a service because he didn't have access to business accounts. Well, wait. That's what I need. I didn't want any changes to my account, and I wanted to turn in this worthless $600 pile of shrink wrapped equipment left in my office. So, yeah! Let's do "that!" He scanned a couple bar codes, gave me a receipt, and let me go my merry way with a smile. In all, I spent very little time there and left satisfied. So yeah. I called Spectrum in May 2026 to stop service for my 88 yr old mother because she passed away. Spectrum said they did not "see her in their system".... so I had to block them from stealing any more money from my mother's bank account. Not sure how Spectrum got my moms credit card, but yep, the next month, I had to cancel my now deceased mothers credit card to keep Spectrum from stealing. Spectrum won't give an email address for a paper trail to prove I canceled service. Now today I get a THREATENING LETTER & bill for June and July. DO NOT USE SPECTRUM--- they will NOT allow you to stop service EVER... not even when you DIE!!! I don't have time to grieve my mom because of companies like Spectrum that make this a full time job dealing with this crap. read more

They used to have good service at the Overland Park KS store, but no more. They wont give you tech support in store with your phone at all. I also got the basic cable package, but customer service is so bad, the only things I have figured out I did on my own. I am retired and disabled. Their customer service personnel have been very rude, or just unwilling to even try to help. I am paying for stuff I can't use. Sometimes it wants you to pay more money to watch a program. If you try accessing it 3 times, it might let you watch it at no additional cost. They don't tell you that. They don't tell you lots of things, and no manual provided. I am cancelling Spectrum. On top of that they don't carry physical copies of the terms of agreement and will not print one. Would give a 0 star if possible. Talked to a spectrum agent and was told to go into a store. Waited for 2.5 hours. I was there for so long my name got taken off the board which shows you where you are in line. After I noticed 6 people get helped that came in after me I talked to the manager that said since my name was no longer on the board they couldn't help me and told me I needed to call spectrum. They refused to let me return the equipment I was trying to return. I left at 6:15 (they close at 6) and there were still 21 people waiting to be helped. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go here. If I could give no stars I would. Spectrum has not once but twice upped my prices without proper notification. The incompetent workers they provide do not know what they are talking about or cannot speak proper English to notify you. My bill was increased from $60-$80 with no notification. When you call to cancel they take you through hell and back. Then proceeded to charge me $80 for 5 days of internet. I have already got 5 of my friends to discontinue service and will continue to make it my mission to run away business. I would NEVER recommend spectrum to anyone. Did I also mention they have constant outages? We were out of internet for a week with no change in monthly bill because remember they DO NOT prorate or refund. Would give this place a zero if possible! Avoid like the plague, we did a business VOIP with them and was promised that it would be the greatest thing on earth. We almost lost our business- because the phones would never work, lost $50,000 of business in peak season. Customer service is a joke and management is a scam. Then they had the guts to bill us for another month or take us to court. We also had cell phones with them at the same time and could never get service even in our own home. They act like they are the kings of great business and service- but are a toilet bowl. Avoid them at all cost. Don't waste your time to try and get help. Every month we dispute the bill because they charge for two boxes when we only have one. They say they'll correct it and credit us but they never do. Now they send us a bill with not only the two boxes but they've added a "Latino view" charge that we never wanted. Monthly bill for TV and internet is now over $260. I am not in the habit of writing poison reviews, so I am saddened to report that I must give Spectrum only one star for both their overall service and for this store in particular. I finally switched my internet service provider after a particularly bad set of outages, for which they offered no apology or compensation when they had to come out multiple times to fix it. I called the main number on their website to cancel my service. The woman on the other end spent a lot of time trying to convince me to stay, of course, but eventually said she'd cancel my account. However, she did not actually do so, and Spectrum billed me for an additional two months. When I called to rectify this error, Spectrum's fine crew told me over and over that there was no record of my call two months earlier, and they could do nothing for me. When I came to the store to return equipment, I cooled my heels for nearly 45 minutes watching three unfriendly associates work with absolutely no urgency despite a room full of waiting customers. The waiting area was also quite dirty. The whole experience was less joyful than the DMV. Goodbye, Spectrum, I won't miss you. read more

Way to many stars here. Negative would be a better rating. We recently ended service on 4/8/2020 even though we were paid up through 4/18/2020. In an attempt to return our equipment on 4/13/2020, our local store indicated they do not accept the equipment and handed me a slip of paper with instructions to use UPS. Luckily the local UPS store was nearby. After being handled efficiently by the UPS store and receiving a receipt for the equipment that same day we thought all was well. About 4 days later, we received a bill for unreturned equipment! Ok, I thought the return has not yet arrived so I returned the bill with all the attached documentation - UPS tracking #, 3 serial numbers for the returned equipment and a note indicating our displeasure with them not allowing time for the return (not to mention it was paid for though 4/18). This is particularly troubling because we followed their process which prohibited us from giving it directly to them. Surely, they will receive all this documentation and after researching the UPS tracking would wipe out the charges. NOT!!! One week later (4/23/2020), we received a second notice that we owed the charges. Today (4/25) I pulled the UPS tracking and discovered that the shipment delivered to them on 4/15/2020! If that is true, why is the bill not removed? They now have been given documentation proving the equipment is in their possession yet they persist. The above saga along with their pitiful handling of our original cancellation request ( a whole other 1 star experience), will force me to bad mouth this company to any and all who will listen. Well color me happy and frankly- surprised! I had a great experience here. Calling Spectrum's 1-800 number and trying to deal with their customer service people is frustrating and often infuriating. But this experience could not have been better! I easily booked an appointment online. All I needed was a remote control to replace one I'd lost and I was really scared that they were going to give me the runaround or charge me a bundle for it or try to sell me a bunch of other items that I didn't need. But instead they asked 'how many remotes do you need?' I said just one one and they opened a cabinet that had easily 100 remotes. They took one out and gave it to me, it even had the batteries included! Now getting it to match with my TV and cable box when I got home took a little bit longer and that required calling their 1-800 number which was mildly frustrating but not as awful as it sometimes is. Mostly I'm just really impressed with this store and all of the people working there- They were welcoming, super polite, and it was quick, easy, and painless! read more

Use someone else, ANYONE ELSE. I got a bill 3 months after canceling my service for $178 for 4 days of service. Apparently, I had canceled just after the monthly service cycle had begun. They admit that this is truly the case and having spoken with regular representatives as well as "supervisors" no one is able to fix this. They are unable and unwilling. They just simply state "this is our policy." What an awful way to conduct a business. This is one of many reasons why people continue to leave Spectrum, never to return. I was happy with Spectrum Cable and Internet until they raised my monthly rate from $164 monthly to $224 monthly (36.5 % increase). I decided to cut cable and move to You Tube TV for $72.99 per month. Returned my cable boxes (3) and my internet rate went from $29.99 a month to over $119 for 300mbs. Switched to Google Internet 1.0 and glad to be done with Spectrum. I Don't understand why cable companies run off happy and loyal customers! This is my 5th switch in 9 years in this home. Hopefully I've found a provider that will think twice about such a large increase! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The service is absolute GARBAGE. MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE 24th of the month or they will charge for another month entirely. We cancelled on the 25th and despite the billing cycle being from the 26-25 of the following month we still had to pay for the following month "because it's a monthly subscription." There are also NO MANAGERS available to talk to. Been waiting over a month for one to call me back. DO. NOT. GO. WITH. SPECTRUM. Canceled my service over the phone. Was told on the phone there was a drop box to drop off my equipment or I could take it to UPS. There was not a drop box. Employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. Tried to send me to UPS. I was on my lunch hour and did not have time, thinking I was putting it in a Dropbox as I was told. The employees eventually took the equipment but basically called me a liar about dropping off equipment there. So glad I switched my service. read more

My Church has Spectrum for various things, and as treasurer I was trying to furnish our 501 c3 status & MO & KS tax exemptions. I printed forms I didn't understand that they sent me so they suggested I go to store to have them help. Had to wait to see a rep and she didn't know how to do this either. Not her fault, probably just not properly trained. She directed me to her mgr., Deandre who didn't know how to do it either but he didn't blow me off, he figured it out for me. They had been charging us an additional $250/month because we hadn't "migrated" from Time Warner to Spectrum. No one ever told us this. I decided to get a mesh router instead of having two internet accounts. I bought a mesh router for $190 w/tax and it wasn't big enough. They have third party contractors come in and I was expecting them to fix our landline. I told the guy at the store that if call after I'd purchased a router. I never told l them I was ready right away for the new modem but instead of fixing my landline, they installed the new modem and cut off my husband's downstairs internet 1/2 hour before he was on telemedicine call. I went out and got a mesh router, I had the routers and cords, in matching plastic bags laid out when the guy finishing up inadvertent took one of the cables to one of the routers as I looked and the cable was gone. I hadn't done anymore than organized them. I filed a damage claim and eventually was told that the contractor didn't find it on his truck so it wasn't their fault. As disorganized as they are, they probably left the cable at another customer's house but we're out $190 because they didn't find it. I was talking to someone in damage claims named Kim I believe. She had what sounded like an Asian accent and I'm trying to tell her I don't know how to contact their 3rd party contractors but I shouldn't pay $190 because they took a cable. This woman started screaming and actually told me to shut up. I hung up on her and called back. In got the same answer but the woman was much nicer. Eventually she said the claim was closed and I can call the police or file a small claims suit which we plan on doing. Spectrum will increase your bill without telling you and they let people pay because they don't tell the person to "migrate over to spectrum"! Now that they're trying to get into the mobile phone business, they're going to be eviscerated on social media. When they rip people off repeatedly, no one will trust them with a mobile phone. That will be a major bust. I'm on social media everyday telling people about my problems. They're not trustworthy! As streaming becomes more popular, we don't need their boxes and karma has a way of hitting business hard. Go with anything else. read more

Finally done! I used them for WAY too long with horrible internet service. I would be the only one at my house using the Internet and it would still not work! In fact that is happening now. It is unusable! I'm using my phone internet now. I finally had enough and worked up the energy to deal with cancelling. I knew it would be difficult from other interactions I had with them. It was extremely difficult. They kept me loyal out of avoidance of the hassle they would give to end it instead of by treating me well. A good company should be easy to cancel because they know people stay because of the value they get. The spectrum rep tried to give me another "deal". I know how that goes. They will raise my rate on that "deal" in a couple of months. I told him I wasn't happy with the service, it would stop working and disconnect in the middle of a show. He kept asking who I was going to use and telling me everything out there was worse than them. It felt like a bad breakup from and emotionally abusive boyfriend. Gaslighting. I told him I was cancelling because he's making it so difficult to cancel. Even that didn't stop him. I wanted to get mad at him but I told him I know he's being paid to act like that. That didn't effect him either. I just said "the answer is no. This is my choice" like 10 times. He finally gave up and we moved on to logistics of disconnecting and returning the equipment. I told him to disconnect me on the last day of whatever I paid for. Hopefully he won't be low and charge me for another month. I'm already paying for the rest of this billing cycle even though I should be set up with another company in a few days. What difference does it makes? DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SPECTRUM. I REPEAT... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SPECTRUM. First off, Spectrum internet is a joke. We paid for top tier "Spectrum internet gig". However, we had many issues and as someone who was working from home during Covid, I was unable to be on Zoom conference calls 5 ft from the router. After many failed attempts from spectrum to fix said problem they informed us they only legally have to provide 400 Mbps. During the course of these issues we tried to reach out to a manager and were always informed a "manager" would call us. Needless to say, managers within spectrum do not exist because we never received a call. Second, Spectrums cancellation policy is complete dog sh**. We bought a new house and moved out on Jan 26th. We called ahead on Jan 12th to cancel. However, their customer service rep never informed us of the cancellation policy. According to Spectrum their months bill from the 25th and we needed to cancel on the 24th to not be billed for the following month. We were charged $151 for a full month even though we had service for a total of two days and spectrum has proof of equipment drop off. According to Spectrum and their sh** policy they threaten to send us to collections because we wouldn't pay for a whole month we didn't use. After many calls and attempts to speak with a manger to get this resolved. Spectrum finally reached out to us and told us because we did not say we wouldn't not like to be charged for the next month, we have to pay it. Obviously after looking at the reviews Spectrum is in dire need of the $150.00. With all of that being said, if you need more reliable internet and cable.
