Computer didn't work when i got it back and got over charged for the privilege. You are better off taking your broken computer to the zoo and handing it to the chimps. I am missing hard drives out of it and the video card is not the one that I installed last year. Had to sign up for Identity protection because pretty sure these assholes just hacked the shit out of me. These guys suck!!!!!!!! read more

Located in a very safe and friendly area of Overland Park, Micro Center is THE PLACE for all your computer needs. While there are places on the internet one can get quality systems from, I'm a hands on person so I like to go in, check out computers and talk to people while customizing. Moreover, I like to walk around and Micro Center appeals to my inner nerd. So, what does Microcenter offer, well lots of computers, accessories and everything an aspiring nerd needs to enter the digital world in style. If you're a graphical artist, they have drawing tables and stylist, musically inclined they have adapters to cover that too along with software but I encourage research or talking to a sales rep before buying. How about that keyboard that fits those tired hands? I see a dozen options before we even get into the backlit keyboards. Mice with over 20 buttons for those hardcore gamers will also tempt you. How about a laptop for computing on the go? Well that "buying best" place can only dream of as many options. As for me, while I've built my computer before I decided to let MicroCenter take care of it. The installation cost was low and I was able to build my "super computer" for cheap, a warranty and it was done within three days. What was a lot of fun is the saleman and I talked for about 45 minutes about World of Warcraft b/c he's a player as well. Although he did try and sell me a monitor however I have that covered. I did browse the TV section out of curiosity and noticed their prices and inventory are competitive with other stores as well. I'll admit, I love this place and it's my first option when I need a computer. I like talking to people and discussing options rather than grabbing it off a website. Micro Center has an informed sales staff, a lot of inventory and competitive prices for everything you may need, including phones! My suggestion is stop on by, you won't regret it but be guarded you might buy more than you thought! Be strong Daniel-son! read more

I love the micro center! Sometimes the customer service is hit or miss though. Sometimes workers seem engaged and want to help while other times they're rude and not helpful. However, their selection of 3D print filament is lovely. read more

My PC has been shutting off and on me for like 2 years now. I brought it in multiple times for the PC randomly shutting off. I left for work out of state, (approximately 6/1/24) for a bit and come back and after summer to resolve the issue and was told my warranty has expired even when they knew there is a problem that wasn't resolved from before. So I have struggled on using the PC for only very light tasks, no real gaming. Now it won't even boot into Windows. So I get industrious and take the heatsink off and find the sticker on the heatsink wasn't taken off when I had overland Park microcenter build the PC for me. What a joke!!! I expected more from a $2600. Purchase!!! read more

I always find what I need at Microcenter. Between the great prices on 3D printing filament and the extensive collection of choice computer hardware, I make excuses just to visit. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and knowledgeable, so don't be afraid to ask them if you need help. They also have a amazing selection of cool toys and activities for the kiddos! They also have online ordering, which saves me tons of time when I am in a hurry. read more

We loved it here, we bought so much without being pressured, Liam was a lot of help and very kind, I loved how honest he was with stuff. Would recommend this place to others read more

Don't shop here! Tried supporting local businesses, customer service is crap! The items are never in stock on shelf regardless of online availability. Operations in store are useless in locating missing items and management takes no accountability. Lost GM in December is the excuse for poor service with 'New management' coming tomorrow does NOT help today! Lost my business. read more

Dylan Trantham was absolutely phenomenal. He helped me find the right parts, swap out components, and build something that fit my budget perfectly all while keeping my son entertained as I worked on convincing my wife to let me buy a $3,000 rig . I honestly wasn't planning on buying anything that night, but Dylan's enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine passion completely sold me. Now I'm sitting at home with an awesome setup that runs everything I throw at it flawlessly. Couldn't be happier with the experience. read more

Reversing course on their policies that made them a good place to buy Magic: The Gathering. Saw people walking out the door with several boxes of the newly released set before open, only to be told they were out of stock. Going back on the MSRP promise, too. I've shopped at this Micro Center for my entire adult life, but you've lost my business. If I need a new graphics card, I'm going to New Egg. Can't even rely on them to fulfill a simple promise about not letting scalpers eat up TCG stock. read more

I've used them for several years--more than 5--they are always knowledgeable, happy to help and trustworthy. My component language is primitive at best, they are patient with me and get the stuff I actually need. read more

We shop at Micro Center quite often for supplies for our small business. They have a great selection of in stock filament for 3D printing, and so many other home computer equipment options, like monitors, CPUs, and laptops. They have a full variety of keyboards, mice, speakers, cabling, headsets, gaming options etc. If you need something in a hurry, this is the place to go. Their prices are very competitive to what you can find online most of the time, and you have the out of bonus of being able to get it right away. The staff is always knowledgeable and courteous, but be aware during peak times the line can get very long but moves quickly. read more

I took my computer to the "Knowledge Bar" for help figuring out why what I thought was MS Edge was starting automatically every time I started my computer or awakened it from sleep mode. A tech named Patrick quickly diagnosed that it was not Edge but another bogus browser that was starting automatically. I overreacted. Good people, a few issues but great place with people who care and try to help if they can.

Had an open box item that I had put in inventory for future resale. When I pulled it off the shelf today, it didn't work. I was nervous how things were going to end up. I Was extremely satisfied that Micro Center went above and beyond my expectations replacing my switch, and valuing me as a regular customer. read more

Nothing like them in their market sector for service, support, or selection. I would not choose anywhere else for anything computer-related. So many others in the electronics sector, from Fry's and Circuit City, to Radio Shack, failed when they lost focus and tried to be everything to everyone. But staying true to who you are and what you do, with adaptation over time, is how one survives and even thrives, in an era where the dreaded Smiling Box dominates retail. read more

Went into the store looking for one thing but ran into small complication with it. But the staff worked together to find a deal that was close. Amazing service and very informative staff. From prebuilds to do it yourself this store had almost everything PC and more. I can't thank you enough for helping me out. Will be back for any PC needs, unless you put one closer to my home. Ha. Brought my computer in that crashed after a windows update on 6.2.2023. It is now 6.13.2023 and not a single update. I went in on 6.9.2023 and asked about it, waited 15 minutes for them to tell me it's still being diagnosed and someone will contact me soon, still not a single word, no updated notes on my order or anything. They're just extremely disorganized. They are supposed to give same day service, that's a lie. Was told initially it would be a week and well, I'm running into 2 weeks. Bottom line I would not recommend using them to service a computer again. read more

Our business purchases a ton of computers and monitors/accessories yearly from MicroCenter and have always been satisfied with their service. I tend to only run in to the Online Pickup desk, but their employees always acknowledge me along with the manager. That's what has kept our business coming back and away from Amazon online type vendors whenever possible. There is never a shortage of employee's on the clock and the managers always step in to keep the lines moving. Perfect example of a well oiled machine. That being said, we had a few issues in the past with "Open Boxes". When you purchase in that state though you must be prepared for something to be wrong of faulty with the product. We decided as a company to just always purchase new and not Open Box again, problem solved! read more

I took my PC for warranty repair. It's now 5 days past the estimated complete date. The online status shows it's being worked on, but it's been that way for 3 days. It's frustrating that they don't publish a phone number. The only way to check on why it's taking so long is to drive there. I can't rate the repair yet because I don't have it back. read more

I have been here over the years. It's a good place to pick up computer related electronics. I also purchased a lot of A/V material here too. Recently I purchased a laptop. Got it home and found the hard drive was not big enough so they exchanged it with no questions asked. The four stars goes out to the competitive pricing and their sales staff. In the computer department I didn't feel pressured, they did a good job of finding my needs and selling to those needs. they didn't try to up sell me. read more

I have been visiting this Micro Center since I was a kid and still love shopping here even if I don't always buy something. Micro Center has a great selection of everything related to computers, video games, video/audio, and even Lego. They continue to evolve with newer tech and always have newer/trendy items available. When we visited recently, they had most of their 3D printers up and actually running so people could see them in action. A few associates asked us if we needed assistance which has always been a common occurrence here. I am glad Micro Center has weathered the storm of staying in business and continues to serve the area! I definitely prefer shopping here compared to the big box tech stores. read more

bought a computer from here 2 months ago, it blue screened and was told 3-5 days. it's been two weeks and was just told today that I might be in Monday but there are 46 computers ahead of me. I had to use vacation time as I don't have a working computer to work from home with. read more

I was so grateful for the consultation and help I received at this store. The associate was knowledgeable and assisted me in selecting exactly what I needed without "overselling" a more expensive item than I needed. Long time customer of Micro Center and let's be honest, there is nothing else like it in town so it tough to compare. I gave Micro Center four stars because some of the junior sales staff can be a little too persistent, even going so far as to chase me down to get their sales credit sticker on my merchandise. Or four sales people will accost me in the same isle within two minutes. Some of them will even linger even after I politely decline their assistance. I go to Micro Center to shop--not to play hide and seek. Really wish they handed out "No Thank You" stickers at the door. But Bob G. makes it a full five star experience for me. Bob is always professional and he knows exactly where to find what I am looking no matter where it is in the store. He genuinely wants to help and is not just looking to make a sale. I will go so far as to plan my shopping trips according to Bob's schedule. Prices are competitive, the shelves are well stocked, and besides some disorganization in a few areas, things are generally easy to find. read more

Worst customer service ever. I made an appointment online to drop off my Apple Watch, the check in kiosk apparently doesn't work if you do online appointments. I was ignored by the staff and they let 3 people go ahead of me even though I had been standing there waiting for TWENTY MINUTES. After finally talking to someone I was told they don't even do apple repair despite advertising that online. I will never return to this location again and ensure nobody I know ever comes here. read more

Online chat does not work. No valid phone number to call the store to speak with anyone. Shopped here just prior to school starting for a monitor to teach more effective & sales person, Steve Castro acted like I was an inconveniencing him. I was asking him questioning concerning monitor choices as well as a cited to connect. Needles to say ....I removed his sales credit sticker. You have to be nicer to me to get credit for my sale. Connor G, the cashier, snapped his fingers at me to address my attention to a question on the kiosk. How rude! I dont think most people even read yelp but honestly MC is one of the best computer stores I ever went to. I used to purchase from Computer Warehouse, CDW as well as other sorta big stores back in the day. Now with Circuit City gone, Tiger Direct folded, and CDW tailor made for overcharge businesses I feel like MC is the only one keeping the light on for me to spend my hard earned money. They have what I need, and sometimes what I don't need and buy anyway. The sales people are professionals and at the same time understand what we do at the store. I never feel pressured to purchase and they try to help me save money. read more
