The people of Hypertech went above and beyond my expectations. The case for my laptop was broken on the hinges and I could no longer close my laptop. I though my laptop was done for and I seriously considered a replacement. However, my wife suggested I get it looked at and see if it is fixable. I Took it to Hypertech down the street from where I live (2 miles), they diagnosed the problem, told me it is fixable and I just need a new case. The case and labor cost was less than half the cost of a new laptop. Victor ordered a new case and his vendor replied it will be January 2026 before they receive the replacement (it's now 12/11/25, Thursday). That was not good enough for Victor. He contacted the vendor; he called me back later to informed me that the part will be in the following week. On Monday 12/15 I got a call that the new case is in and to bring in the laptop. By Wednesday it was repaired. Amazing. And it was a very reasonable price. Wow. I highly recommend their service. read more

I had to purchase a used laptop to see if my printer would work hardwired as opposed to wifi. When it did not and I realized I needed to get a new printer and NOT from Amazon...I went to Best Buy. I realized that the new printer would work with wifi so I could return the used laptop. When I did after a few days, they did not even make me pay the restocking fee which was clearly stated for returns. He was in no way upset about why I bought the laptop and was so friendly. Amazing selection and service. I went in looking for a new desktop and monitors for my home office and was blown away. I had toyed with the idea of having a PC and Apple computer since I need both for work. Victor helped me find the computer that I needed, made sure I had the best monitor for graphic design and gaming, as well as made sure I have the right cords to optimize the monitor connections and computers capabilities. I highly recommend Hypertech if you need your computer fixed or serviced. My Lenovo Yoga laptop wouldn't power on. Victor helped to troubleshoot by confirming the issue wasn't my power supply. The technician within two days diagnosed the issue as a failed motherboard. It took a few weeks to source a new part -- Lenovo is a Chinese company + U.S. trade relations w/ China aren't great at the moment. After receiving the new part + performing QC, Brenda notified me that my laptop was ready for pickup. Prices were fair: a $43 fee to investigate the issue + a $300 fee for the new part/labor. (The $43 fee was applied to the cost of the actual repair. I paid $329.20 total, which I found was just about the same price as both new + used motherboards online.) Hypertech has a nice online system that shows repair status. They also have a ton of computers, accessories/peripherals, at competitive prices. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Hypertech again. You can feel great about Victor's + Brenda's team caring for your technology. read more

I looked at reviews and really did not want to take my computer to a big chain place to get it repaired. My battery was not charging, so after some searching I decided to give this place a try. I took it in for service and was happy with their friendly service and their welcome when I went in. The gentleman that checked in my computer was very friendly and easy to understand. I also brought in a discount coupon. After all this, everything went way wrong. It took them almost a week to tell me my motherboard was bad. They told me they may be able to repair it. 4 days later it was not repairable. A new motherboard was ordered, but I had to pay in advance for that. They would not explain to me if the motherboard was refurbished or new. They also would not explain to me what my charges for service were so far. A week later my motherboard arrived. It was installed and my laptop was returned. I checked and found that the wrong motherboard was installed. It was an I-5 processor motherboard, not the same I-7 that came with it. There is a service tag from Dell that tells you what kind of motherboard is compatible. I called and told them about the problem. I talked to the service tech who was extremely difficult to understand. After some time, he told me to bring it in. After 7 days of waiting, I was contacted and told that the new motherboard would cost additional because it was a faster and more expensive motherboard. I agreed to pay the difference. The female on the line first told me a price, but then said there was a discount and quoted me a $20 lower price. Once she went to a computer to run my credit card, the price went up again. I tired explaining to her what she told me, but she was difficult to understand and kept telling me it was the first price. At this point I did not want to argue, I paid the original price. A week later I called because I was getting frustrated with the time because I needed my laptop for business. Ironically, the motherboard arrived today and was done by the end of the day. So the correct motherboard was FINALLY in my computer. When I picked it up I received NO APOLOGIES at all for their errors. I had to pay the full price. Now at home my computer works good, but my external speakers are now not working at all!!! PLEASE!!!! Do not go to this place, they are hard to understand, do not seem to care you have to wait forever for your lap top or computer to be done, and after everything else their quality control during repair apparently is crap. I am sure they will post something about being sorry for my trouble and want me to bring it back in for repair. I will not wait another week for you to repair something you broke or forgot to plug in. I now have to pay someone to repair my speaker problem. SO NO THANKS HYPERTECH! read more

I originally bought an iPhone 7 from them ended up having problems so I returned it within the 30 day window and upgraded to the iPhone X. The new iPhone has since then randomly lagged and glitches. For example I ended up not being woken up by my alarm set on my phone today for an important meeting because the phone glitched out and decided to wake me up with the alarm four hours after the set time. I've stopped here a few times. I've purchased a router, some cabling, a used monitor for a workplace computer, etc. Odds and ends. It's a crazy place, filled with goodies for the DIY computer crowd (of which I'm not a member) and tons of used/refurbished/repaired stuff. They have a big repair area. I'm not a computer expert, but I am pretty good and finding value. And that's why I'll always check with Hypertech when I need a cable or something similar. Stuff that clocks in at $20 at Best Buy can sometimes be found for a five-spot here. Between video cables, printer cables, various adapters and other goofy stuff that I've suddenly needed, I bet Hypertech has saved me a few hundred bucks. Oh, and a few times, I've called and asked them to set something aside for me/have it ready for a quick exit. It's always right at the counter, ready to go. Can't beat that. read more

I brought my first generation PS3 in to be repaired after it got the "yellow light of death." After a week they told to be pick it up, and after I took it home it wouldn't play video games (which is in my opinion the reason a person would buy a PS3 in the first place). I took it back under their warranty and they told me that I needed a new optical drive. I agreed to the repair and they said that I would be top priority and it would take about a week... 1 month later after I had been calling every week to check on the progress I finally was fed up and told them on a Tuesday that I would be there Friday to pick it up weather it had been repaired or not. They said the new drive STILL WASN'T IN. I told them that in our technical age I'm SURE they could overnight one... they just fed me BS after BS. I get a call on Thursday saying it's done! I'm already suspicious at this point... they kept it a month and then magically 2 days later it's done? Hmm... I pick it up Friday and they lost my power cable AND the rubber pad that allows the machine to stand on it's side without falling over. When I brought my machine in it was is perfect condition (aside from what needed repair). It now was scuffed up and had pry marks on the side. I demanded 50% back because they kept it over 30 days AND lost parts! Vic said it wasn't his problem, but gave me 50% back I got home and the machine WASN'T EVEN REPAIRED! So of course I went back to get the rest of my money. Vic, the manager I assume, refused to furnish proof that a new drive was even put in my machine. He couldn't show me a vendor receipt for the item that took over a month to arrive. When I demanded my money back (and keep in mind he was hiding behind his wall the whole time and yelling at me) he told the other employees not to talk to me at all and he called the POLICE ON ME!!!!! VIC IS A CROOK and quite frankly a jerk as well. DON'T EVER GET REPAIRS DONE AT HYPERTECH!! read more

I dropped off my laptop at Hypertech on August 22 for a new hinge and broken case. They were supposed to call me on the 25th to tell me the diagnosis. They never called. I called them on the 30th. They said they needed to order parts, they'd have it back to me in a week and $160 needed to be prepaid. I put it on a credit card. Yesterday (09/06) I got a call saying they ordered the wrong parts and it will be AT LEAST another week before I get my computer back. By the time it is all said and done they will have had my computer for more than 4 weeks. Very disappointing experience. read more

A couple of days ago my computer started overheating. I took the cpu fan to another computer store and they started suggesting that I buy expensive replacement parts like a new motherboard and such. I didn't want to start replacing unnecessary parts and spending a ton of money, so a friend told me to visit HyperTech. The staff is very helpful there and they definitely know what they're doing.
