Avoid Tech Guardian!!
this has been the worst, shadiest repair experience I've ever dealt with.
Timeline of what happened:
* First visit the first major red flag:
I left the shop for a bit and came back, and he tried to hand my iPad back as if it was fully repaired. The screen wasn't even secured in place, and the home button was completely missing. He had snapped the case back on to make it look finished, hoping I wouldn't notice. That alone should've told me everything I needed to know.
* Obvious problems on both devices:
My iPhone screen wasn't seated correctly. I could literally lift it with my fingers.
My iPad screen was lifting, unstable, and missing parts.
He took the phone back to "fix" it and claimed he'd order a new screen for the iPad.
* A week later more dodging and excuses:
He texted saying my device was ready, but when I showed up during posted business hours, the shop was closed. No response to calls or texts until the next day, and even then, he only offered limited times that didn't work.
* The iPhone gets worse:
The same corner of the screen popped up again. The one he failed to install correctly. When I tried to press it back in, the screen cracked.
A different repair shop fixed it in minutes and told me screws and internal parts were missing. That says everything about the "quality" of his work.
* Chasing down my own property:
I was standing inside the building during business hours waiting for him to finally open up so I could get my iPad back. He pulled into the lot, looked around like he was checking to see if anyone was watching, and immediately started to drive off.
I had to run out of the building and stop him by his car just to get my own property back. And apparently, I'm not the only one, other people are also trying to track him down to retrieve their devices.
* Final condition of the iPad:
When I finally got it back, the home button didn't work at all.
The screen he installed which he told me he'd order a new screen during the first encounter. Which it's clear he did not. Clearly the screen is used and full of internal stains that can't be cleaned without removing the entire screen.
* And the final cherry on top:
Apparently, even the landlord has kicked him out because of how shady everything has gotten.
Bottom line:
This is the absolute worst service I've ever dealt with sloppy work, zero attention to detail, constant dodging of calls and messages, and sketchy behavior from start to finish. If you need a real repair with better parts, an actual warranty, and professional service, go to Phone UnBusters in Blue Springs
Part 2
Since the owner keeps insisting I "never gave notice" and "showed up outside business hours," here are the screenshots of the texts and phone calls. Every visit I made was during his posted 7 AM-7 PM hours, including two trips on my lunch break and another mid‑afternoon.
The only time I knocked was on the window because there was a vehicle in the lot and the building was locked during business hours. I called, I texted, and got no response.
If anyone wants to understand why the owner is doubling down on these stories, a quick look at Case.net is very telling. The public record speaks for itself.
If he has any "documented work" to support his version of events, I'd be more than happy to see it. read more
