    I had two interactions at this store…read more One was for an older family member who needed to upgrade her phone, and wanted me along for some help and advice. That interaction alone would have achieved at least a four-star rating here, which would have been downgraded after the fact, when I found out more about how this store does business (more down below). My second was for upgrading our family's lines. The first thing that upset me on the latter interaction was how extremely hard they were working to sell us into a phone line (one we repeatedly told them we were not interested in) when they thought there was an incentive for themselves (some sort of internal incentive or SPIF). Upon finding out our lines would NOT qualify them for the incentives they were gunning for, they immediately stopped the hard-sell on us, giving up the ghost. However, the thing that really upset us was when we found out, upon going back to pick up our new phones and pay for everything, that they charge a hefty fee, per line, to allow them the pleasure of helping you in store. It was only AFTER undergoing this entire process that we found out about this fee, and it was when I asked some questions about the amounts popping up on the POS screen to pay for. Had we been told of this up front, we absolutely would not have done any of our upgrades in store. Verizon makes it simple enough to do so online; however, my older, extended family member wanted to go in, and having never had a fee for doing such before, I didn't think twice of doing whatever made her comfortable. That experience was decent enough that we simply went back to upgrade our family's lines. However, between the goofy sales tactics and deceptive fees, we won't be doing business here again. Props to Verizon Corporate who did comp our fees from the store back to us.
