    I'm a new T-Mobile customer who switched over from Verizon in early November…read more My service with Verizon got suspended with zero notice (coz that's what happens when you're a mature, responsible adult in your 30s and fighting with your parents who still pay your cell phone bill). So I went to T-mobile with the goal of getting a new number and a newer iPhone, coz my 8+ has about HAD IT with me! "I'm sorry for dropping you so many times" *gently strokes cracked screen and gets glass stuck in my finger* "Dammit!" However, my lack of techknowledgey (Ha! You like what I did there?) and subsequent indecision got the upper hand in that situation; I couldn't really decide which iPhone I wanted and - although Jo was nice and pleasant to speak with - unfortunately, he couldn't really answer some of my questions and didn't provide much info about the differences in features or even really try to sell me on any of the iPhones, so I finally said I just wanted to do more research at home. He told me I had x days to decide if I'd like to get a new phone via some kind of deal with a bill credit applied over 24 months... or something? So. Last night, I went to another T-Mobile location since we were in the area, and 2 employees told me conflicting information; one employee said I had 14 days to get a new phone with that deal and the other said, "I'm pretty sure it's 30." After a little back and forth between the two of them, with one employee confirming details online, both of them eventually said they can't help me, so I would need to call 611 and have customer care complete the order for my new phone. Wait, what? So nobody in the actual store can help me?? After I left the store, I called 611 on my uncle's phone, waited on hold for almost 40 min and followed the silly tele-prompts to "guess this song!" (to distract me from the crushing realization that many minutes of my precious life are just ticking away on this call) before hanging up in frustration. I called again later and waited on hold for almost an hour before I finally hung up. I couldn't get ahold of anybody to help me get a new iPhone and I still really want one!! My experience with that T-Mobile location was super frustrating and annoying, and my experience with this location on 119th was better but I really wish Jo would have tried just a little to sell me a newer iPhone. It wouldn't have been difficult, and I'm sure he could have easily talked me into getting a new phone, and probably a more expensive one than I would have originally wanted. Perhaps there wasn't much incentive for him? Unfortunately, my experience overall as a new T-Mobile customer has been fairly disappointing thus far. I might call 611 again today to find out if there's SOME way I can get a new iPhone!

He was very quick with the replacement and even helped answer all of our extra questions. I would definitely recommend the screen protector plan they have, it's such a good deal for anyone who cracks their phone a lot.

Waring Pro told me to kick rocks, and the next option was $60. So after a lot of research, I heard tell of a place akin to a radio shack, but more Costco than Shack - and a whole lotta radio. Electronics Supply - been around for over 60 years - is just a wonderful place for the tinkerer with electronics repair needs. There's an upstairs and a downstairs, a gaggle of extremely helpful staff, and they even have the curmudgeons of yore - those gentlemen of too much knowledge, and not enough cares - answer any question gladly, but stays in their chair, and hardly look at you while doing it. This place is a rarefied necessity of any advanced municipality with the capacity for ordering online. Honestly, these guys seemingly have anything an everything you can imagine - and they're very helpful to boot, which in this time of online garbage is welcomed necromancy! I bought a thermal fuse; I didn't know what I needed, but they did. They discussed the part in question, haggled over the possibilities, pulled it from the expansive selection in back, and after an entire dollar seventy five, I was out the door! I installed it, and viola! Waffles! I'm just over-the-moon excited about the possibilities! They have myriad tools and components, security systems and computer parts, and if you venture downstairs, you've ventured into the realm of commercial electrical supplies. Among a million other items, there is a full-blown server setup for sale, conduit for days, and any bracket, housing, cable, wire, transistor or capacitor you can manifest from your imagination. It's an electronics supply, but it's more than that. Like the armory or granaries of yore, this is a downright necessity of civilization in the heart of downtown Kansas City. I'll definitely be back for things and stuff. You should too! It's a shame more people aren't able to fix their own stuff anymore, and that number is shrinking. Thanks to the Electronics supplies of the world - a right contrivance of practicality in such the weary world of toss it and buy another.
