My mother who is 83 needed to get the battery replaced in her I Phone. I live 7 hours away which feels very far when she needs assistance. I called and spoke to Devin at the store on NE Douglas. He was extremely helpful; telling me that he would take extra care of my mother. He also understood completely that all the technology that comes with today's society is a little too much for my mom and I'm sure others clients as well. My mother went to the store, got the battery replaced. Devin made the errand easy and sent her home relieved that her phone would hold a charge. Ordered a key fob on Feb 5. Two weeks later store had not even ordered it yet. March 15 fob comes in. March 16 we go to pick it up. 30 min of employees complaining about the UPS guy, how the store works, life in general, find out they can't program it. They refunded the price. But held on to our money for 6 weeks, extended wait in store, and really poor communication along the way. Unprofessional behavior and attire. Don't recommend. read more

I went into the store because I needed help. There were two other customers in the store as well. The one guy behind the counter answered the phone instead of helping the people standing in front of him. We waited while he answered questions, looked up orders, and shot the breeze. There was another guy doing who knows what in the back room. He should've been the one answering the phone or should have come out and helped us. Suggest you try helping yourself online, as you'll get none in the store, and do curbside pick up. However be prepared for a wait at curbside until the the phone stops ringing long enough that they can bring you your order. read more

Inside interstate Battery, the guy says, "Go to Marbec, and if they don't have it go to Batteries Plus in Lee's Summit." "Get your Garmin, we're going to Lee's Summit." "Cool, I get to drive the Hybrid," Knowing full well Batteries Plus was near Jose Peppers and Waldo Pizza. Heck, if I get to drive the hybrid, I'm not going to let on I know how to get there and could've driven my Civic. So, the 3 of us, my mom, my 89 year old step dad, and myself drove my step dad's hybrid through the back way to Batteries Plus. It's across from St. Luke's South Hospital. The back way is a mysterious drive down Little Blue Road from Noland . This is how I go to Waldo Pizza, also. We get there in like, 9 minutes, or faster. It is a small store, very new. So new it sparkles. My mom showed the employees the dead drill battery, and he knew exactly what we needed, and had it in stock. I was thinking Batteries Plus would be a generic battery store, but, they have all the brands. I didn't see generics, and was pleased. It's a nice break from having to stand in line at either Target or Best Buy (not far from this location), just to buy a battery. Batteries Plus has the one battery you need, somewhere in the small store. The employees are eager to help you locate it. The employees were very knowledgeable of their inventory, and even allowed my 89 year old step dad to use the bathroom. They advised us on how long to charge the new drill battery, and how to use it. Nice to know this is here. No more waiting in long lines to only buy a couple of batteries. I appreciate that. read more

They didn't have a replacement charging port for my older mid-grade phone, but come to find out... no place in town does. Joshua took some time and cleaned out the charging port. I have done the same thing (or so I thought) but have had no luck improving the situation. I don't know what else he did, but it worked. I went to get three watches batteries changed and they couldn't change one of them which fine. Then the other two are changed and then current time not corrected nor the date. Charged $25.88 for two. Great customer service. Honored a 2-year warranty on an Odyssey battery I'd purchased there that expired the day I noticed it wasn't working, and took it into them to have it checked. They tested the battery and it was no longer holding a charge, so they gave me a new replacement. I felt obligated to buy a couple items I didn't really need, they were that good. read more

ok so here's the deal... I'm hard on phones. I'll own that. This is my second experience with batteries plus. Took my phone in to fix the screen. When I arrived for pick up, the tech informed me I had some sort of blown speaker which he repaired AND he pulled a crazy amount of dust out of where you charge it. Which explains why it wasn't charging. These extras were for no charge. I am so happy with this company I'm prompted to write a review. (Which I don't normally do). The employees are very friendly and know their stuff. Highly recommended. And I'll use them again when I drop my phone for a THIRD time and have a shattered screen. read more
