The first thing you see on the Timberline Website is "Call us for Free Estimates" I did call, told them I want them to look at 2 evergreens with yellowing leaves. I again asked them if the estimates are free the person who answered the phone said "absolutely". Two days later someone from Timberline called to make an appointment and told me the estimate costs $200. I told him that is not what the website or the person who answered the phone said. He told me the estimate is free only if we cut down the tree. That is not what is written. How can you trust a place that has false advertisement and lies before you use them . Every other arborist I call give legitimate free estimates. read more

Did an absolutely beautiful job. Careful of other shrubs and bushes. Trees in question were in a difficult spot .Workers were so careful of skylights and roof very organized and professional. My husband grew these trees from babies , I couldn't believe he was going to have them cut down because they were encroaching over roof . My daughter and I saw your company working on a property near by and encouraged him to call and NOT CUT TREES DOWN.. They are still with us and beautiful. They cut and manicured others in backyard trees as well . Highly recommend!! read more

A tree hit my house and my two cars in the last fast hurricane that hit Rockland. Timberline was the first tree service to call us back, and had an estimator out to our house that afternoon, who gave us a fair price. They scheduled us in a matter of days and by the end of the week had a full crew with cranes at our home. They removed 4 trees from the property. Watching them remove the large tree that was on the house was amazing. They literally got it off our house with NO DAMAGE to the roof. Our insurance adjuster said it was one of the best jobs he's seen. They were kind, respectful, skilled and thorough. When they left the property you would never have known that there was a storm 3 days before - except that we still didn't have power! They will definitely be my first call for tree service. Trust me...you can trust them. read more

Timberline Tree & Landscape - a large tree being removed - Landscaping Near Me - Nanuet, New York

This is our first time using a tree service, and we couldn't be more satisfied. We had a huge tree in bad shape + several big trees that needed some pruning. We got a few estimates from different companies but when John came over and gave us his honest opinion it was a no brainer . He even took the time to come in two different occasions to go over the process and answer all our questions giving us peace of mind. On the day of, the team did an outstanding job from the beginning to the end. They made sure everything was performed in the safest and cleanest way possible. When they left, our yard and driveway area was even cleaner than just before they came! We are new in the area and this will definitely be the company we will be using for future tree service needs and will recommend to all of our friends! read more

Ben was easy to work with and the guys were great. The price was very fair for the work - and they even took down a small tree I needed at no extra cost. Highly recommend. read more

I called Timberline Tree and Landscape to get an estimate to remove several trees between my home and my neighbors home . They came over on time and gave both me and my neighbor a very very fair and detailed estimate. They then followed up with dates to complete the work . They arrived today, September 8, 2021 and I could not praise this company enough. They were on time, very very efficient, helpful , friendly, precise, hard working and exceptionally careful in removing very tall trees. In addition they did an excellent job cleaning up. If you are looking for a Tree service with excellent service and fair pricing.. they get an A plus for all categories. Call them.. you will not be disappointed. If I could I would give them 10 stars . read more

that's a 46" diameter oak tree landing in the tiniest of drop zones on top of a stone retaining wall that is protected by tires. clearly, these guys are real good and worth every penny. all told, we had 8 very dangerous trees removed over 3+ days (still a bit left to go - one more minor day left). my property is on a steep hill, off a one lane road, and with a long narrow driveway. not easy to get big equipment in and out, and is just overall an impossible space to drop some monster trees. they had a plan to deal with it all, and executed it to perfection. bring on the next nor'easter, my family will be sleeping just fine thanks to these guys. wasn't cheap, but when you have problems like this you spend a bit more to deal with the pros. i'd do it again in a heartbeat. read more

Just a few months after moving in to our new home, a huge (40 ft+) tree in the backyard fell during a winter storm in March and missed our house by no more than 6 inches. Left standing were 3 other large 40-60ft trees all leaning in toward our house. Thankfully Timberline was able to come remove our trees before they could cause any serious damage to our home. It was extremely effortless to set up an appointment for an estimate and they came out within the week to give a thorough quote. Steve was very professional and informative; he told us all about each tree, the exact process his team would follow to remove each one, what tools and trucks would be used, and estimated time frame of when they could come out to get the job done. The team worked SO efficiently and removed 3 extremely large trees and cleaned up everything in under 4 hours on a Saturday morning. There were a few holes in our lawn after everything was said and done, but that is expected when having such large trees cut and removed. We obtained quotes from 2 other companies and Timberline was slightly more expensive, however, they were able to come out quickly while the other company told us they were about 4-6 weeks out. read more

John and his crew do an amazing job, even when dealing with bad weather. They got the job done quickly and made sure I was happy with what was happening every step of the way. I would highly recommended them. They will be the only tree company I use moving forward. read more

We are so happy with this company. They were very fair in their price, came in a day for an estimate and did the BIG job of taking down 3 large oaks 1 week later. The workers were polite and very hard working and the in charge person "Ben" scheduled the job without a hitch! Our neighbors asked for an estimate while they were cutting our trees and were very pleased with the price, so they had 2 large oaks taken down the next day. This company deserves 5 stars in our opinion and we are extremely pleased with this their professionalism. read more

Timberline removed two large trees from our yard and we are extremely pleased with the service. They were responsive, quick, and the crew was really nice. Will use again, and highly recommend! read more

We had a problem in Oct/Nov of 2011 when a freak snowstorm toppled a huge tree in our backyard. Lots of tree people were called and given the gravity of the situation we knew it would take a while for someone to come out since it wasn't an emergency. They came in mid-November and in about an hour with a crew of 4 had the whole thing gone. They did whatever was possible to shove pieces of it in their truck to get rid of it, even put in some compartments and back rows of trucks just to get it out of there. I was impressed given the fact that they worked their rear-end's off with all the trees that were down in our area. Enter July of 2012 when we had some dead branches over the house that needed to come down. Made an appointment and a few days later someone was out once again with a quote. Price was great for the work and we went ahead. It took a while to coordinate schedules but that's a bit my fault and the weather's fault. They came out again, this time with a crew of three and climbed all over the place. Realized that the work order was not complete as they were cleaning up and they were more than happy to get their gear on and go right back on up, no questions asked, no rude attitude, nothing!! I highly recommend them, after having a bunch of tree guys in here, this one has been by far the best. Friendly staff, no run around, great work! read more

Really happy with this tree company. They were able to schedule us in right away. The estimator was a nice guy who was fair on the pricing. Then, guys, who showed up were respectful and asked questions to have a clear understanding of what I wanted to be done. They were in and out of my yard one day. I had two trees and a whole property line cleaned up. They cleaned up after themselves which was great! Highly recommend them! read more

Steve of Timberline Landscape not only did a good job for us but he is also very generous. There were some items that were not clear in our agreement yet he came back and finished it and finished it wonderfully. He is trust worthy, responsible and on time showing up at the exact time promised. We will definitely use him again and and are more than happy to recommend him to anyone in Grosse Pointe and Detroit area. Mary N. read more

Timberline definitely gave us the best quote to take down one very large tree, one small tree, and grind two stumps. However, they were difficult with scheduling a date to begin the job, took weeks to return to grind down the stumps, and left a complete mess in my yard. When they finally returned to complete the job, they claimed they could not clean up majority of the wood chips, requiring us to hire a landscaper to remove all of the chips for $650!!! Cleanup should have been included in the job!!! This job cost us a ridiculous amount of money and took too long to be completed. read more

Mark came out on a weekend to give me a estimate on removing 2 trees, pruning a few other trees, and 10 yard sod mulch for my landscape. He showed up on time for the estimate and even confirmed in the morning. Gave a very fair price, and came about a month later as promised, did the job with out damaging my yard. The best part is that mark suggested a better solution then the original plan, and then he decrease the quote price on the estimate!!!!!!! Yes, he decreased..... saved me money! I would be calling him again I. The spring to clear a small area to have a garden! Highly recommend this tree company! read more

From booking the estimate to the trees being taken care of I couldn't recommend this company more. Very professional and extremely reasonable! They cleaned up my property after themselves and really were a great company to work with! read more

This is a very professional company. I was able to get a quick appointment, a very informative lesson on how my maple tree grows and quick service and cleanup. I think my tree looks a lot better than some trees that belong to neighbors who have tried to do the job themselves or called other companies. Price was reasonable. read more

I used Timberline in October 2017. They were immediately responsive to my needs (an assessment of certain trees), efficient in giving an estimate and completing the job, and on the job, they worked very diligently and efficiently (well into the evening) to complete the job. And they did excellent work. I would recommend them; in fact, I plan to use them again when needed. read more

Quote was reasonable and they got the job done in just one day. The crew was professional and polite. John set it all up and coordinated with the town for permission to cut down trees. We are happy with Timberline and will call them again if we need more tree work. read more

Steve and crew with foreman Domingo provided a professional, timely, fair and clean tree removal job. As an arborist, Steve advised tree removal after thorough evaluation of 150+ yr old /125ft Oak that we were reluctant to remove. Crew was careful, safe and thorough to leave site as if nothing had been there. Highly recommend Timberline and Steve's crew. This was actually our second project with them, as they cleared and removed a SuperStorm Sandy casualty of equal challenge. Price and service= unbeatable. Thank you. 2020 update... Isias storm devastated 2 of our 150 ft Oaks destroying fences and specimen landscaping. Chris had Ben come right down, assess damage and costs of cleanup. Reasonable value for tough job and had crew on site the Very Next Day! Thank you owner Steve, for running a great company and hiring some of the best professional courteous responsive employees. Best resource, should you need them. read more

Steve n his crew are really hard working. They show up on time work hard and are respectful of the homeowners wishes and property. Domingas ran the crew that came to my house, they thanked me about 5 times each for the water I gave them and about 10 times each when I bought them lunch. Work work. work never loud or vulger always pleasant. In between cuts one man was up in a tree and he was singing and it sounded great. At the end of the day the only way you could tell a tree service was there was by the low stumps in the ground. Very neat very professional and they all come to say goodbye after the cleanup. Another plus with Timberline is the lady Josie that works in the office, she's there to help and do her best for you. Go Timberline Tree Service. read more

From the estimate to the work I would highly recommend Timberline and would surely use them again.

Our experience with Timberline was great. We recently moved to one of the River Towns in Westchester and had a lot of overgrown trees on the property. Upon calling the office, Steve, the owner, came out the same day and gave me an estimate before he left the property. As far as pricing, Steve took into account the scope of work and provided a fair price (we had two other services submit bids for comparison). They provided all the documents we needed for our tree removal application (supporting letter from arborist and insurance certificate) in a timely manner. Communication was clear and expectations were met. As far as the work, they did a great job. They worked hard and carefully. They even cut part of the hickory tree into fire logs and stacked it neatly for future use! Highly recommended. read more

After removing trees this summer, I got a call from Timberline reminding me I had a free tree coming and it was time to plant. Their arborist, Mark, came by and we talked about some other trees to be planted as well. He gave us some incredible ideas and the trees he recommended are amazing. He recommended a Shirazz Japanese Maple, a Coral Bark Japenese Maple, and a weeping cherry. The trees were beautiful when they planted, the workman did a really really great job and now my yard looks fantastic. These guys are the only people you need to call. Can not recommend them high enough. read more

I needed one small dead tree taken down and also 3 large arborvitaes taken down. I called Timberline, they gave me a price which I thought was fair so I had them do the work. Their workers were great, they first cut down the tree and then the arborvitaes, then they munched them and did an excellent cleanup. If I ever need tree work done again I will definitely call Timberline, excellent company to deal with. read more

They did a great job pruning three trees that were too big. Hauled all debris away and were very fast.

Careful before you choose Timberline. Miscommunication between their employees. Misquote of job costs and work involved. Runaround about broken parts for equipment needed to get the job done. Overall not professional, do yourself a favor and get multiple quotes for your project before you commit to Timberline. read more

I've worked with a variety different landscaping companies over the years, but Timberline is by far the best. Can't compliment these guys enough. They were great to work with and kind of entertaining, imagine Cirque de Soleil with chain saws. They were so incredibly efficient and respectful to our property. From the office to the men working on site, everyone was terrific. read more

I can't give a fair rating because they didn't show up after having a set appointment for a MONTH. Canceled the night before, blamed it on the rain. I don't think I was even on the schedule honestly. I had to go through the pain of meeting with a bunch of new companies after this snafu which included IMO trying to send a "backup" company to do the work a week later. Seemed shady. Very disappointed but after meeting with SIX other companies I am going with a good reputable company but have to wait until August for the work to be done. A big waste of time. read more

Great experience with these guys! Called them to request an estimate on tree removal and some pruning. We scheduled an estimate within a few days, and I was given both a reasonable cost estimate and an honest opinion of what should be done (ie- definitely not trying to push too many services). The work was completed quickly and cleanup was great. Highly recommended!! read more

Horrible! I used them for years, 5/18 Was the last tree removed. Last night a tree fell in my yard. I called them as I always did, the price was 3 times as much as the intact one they removed in may!
