Company Drivers are dangerous on road, 18 wheeler tried running me off the road. I carry acid. If my tank got pierced the acid would have caused a whole town evacuation. Company would have went bankrupt to clean up acid. Ignorance was my first impression on the company since the driver laughed In my face. I want to say thank you to everyone there, what a great team of workers, from them coming out to give the estimate, on time, showed when said and went through all the details. On the day of Rudy introduced himself and he and the team went right to work, was very concerned about the trucks damaging the grass which I assured him was fine. The following day they showed up again to remove the larger logs. And will return soon to do stump grinding . Again totally professional aware of the dogs and locked all the gates upon leaving. Contacted O'Sullivan Tree Care after my former tree specialist retired. Was recommended by a friend who used them. Kathy (office person) was polite and very responsive to my needs. She arranged for Jeff to meet me and provide an estimate within a few days. I immediately agreed with the price but was told that it may take a week or 2 to get there since they were so busy. Kathy promised to let me know as soon as their crew was available. To my surprise she called me that Friday and asked if they could come on Monday. Of course I said yes. Pablo and his crew arrived at 7:45. They methodically took down the three trees I wanted removed, trimmed and cleaned up 3 others. Then pointed out 2 that were overgrown and laying on my roof. I asked him to take care of those for the additional $$ he quoted. I was extremely happy from start to finish. The crew was very polite, professional and extremely neat. I've had tree service on my property 4 times over the last 13 years. Three of those times, I used O'Sullivan. Estimates from John were competitive. They are reliable and quite capable in tree topping, removal, stump grinding and overall, meeting your expectations. The only time I didn't use them was because another company beat their estimate by a small margin. It was a tough one, but I suspect the other company really needed the work. When you have big jobs with big trees, there is generally going to be some sort of property damage in yard holes or damaged bushes. My last job had holes and track marks. I told them and they filled the areas with topsoil. They are a busy company so there can sometimes be delays. I was a bit worried about them taking 3 weeks to remove a stump following removal of my tree. However, after expressing my concern over and over, they came through and completed the job. I've also had mulch delivered from them on two occasions. Again, reliable and fairly priced. When it comes to tree services, in this area, they are as good as it gets. I'm happy they're around. Despite 3, very polite and patient, phone calls- and assurances we were on the schedule- still o one has been to my home to assess the 60+ foot branch that fell on my roof during Isaias. Had a 12noon-1pm app't and Arborist didn't call before coming and arrived at 1:10pm despite Francine saying saying he was 40 minutes aways when I called for his whereabouts at 12:15pm. Unsure of his name, John?, because he "ran out of business cards." When he saw that he couldn't use my Norway Spruce tree as a Xmas tree in NYC, he acted very disinterested and wanted to leave. I had to ask him for an estimate which he hastily wrote, "remove tree - $2000" Westchester Consumer Protection Agency would disapprove of this as they want details like "grind down stump to below ground level." He stayed, at most, for 5 minutes and wasn't thorough; didn't even inspect the tree's trunk like other Arborists who spent a good 20 minutes talking with me. I told him that 2 other neighbors had trees that needed to be taken down but he didn't want to meet with them despite one just coming home across the street. He just told me the price to give them. I don't know if he had another app't but he sat in his SUV in front of my house for 10 minutes before leaving. I wouldn't use or recommend O'Sullivan Tree to anyone. Francine, who sets app't was great; very knowledgeable over the phone but the arborist didn't take the time to show it. Save-A-Tree in Buchanan has a certified tree expert (highest designation) who's very knowledgeable and took time explaining things so check them out. Plus, they are on time for app'ts. read more

I called on Tuesday June 7th and left a message for someone to return my call. A lady returned my call at 11:20. An appointment was made for Tuesday June 12th between 12:30 - 1:30. I never received a call from the Arborist or anyone else to let me know that they were cancelling or running late. No show, no call! I tried to call the office to find out what had happened but I got the voicemail. I had reservations because after the appointment was made I spoke with my sister. She had a very bad experience with them a few years ago. However, I decided to give them a chance. Big MISTAKE! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional!! read more

I made an appointment for an estimate and they called and cancelled after they were about 20 minutes late. Made another appointment and I am still home and hour after the scheduled time, waiting. I tried the office numerous times to get some information and just get voicemail each time. I don't know how they cut trees but they definitely don't treat potential customers well. read more

The worst of the worst. Had them come to do minor work by taking down about 1500 bucks in trees, meanwhile they did more damage to my property than good (trucks left crater size tracks all over lawn no where near work, driveway needed to be redone, garbage left all over property from workers, crater sized holes made from fallen trees not touched with shards of wood embedded in ground). After contacting management and making several appts to meet which the owner doesn't show up, filed a law suit which made them fix the damages on the property. What a headache! Stay away! read more

I spoke with this company for a full week asking for delivery of playground mulch, the lady and manager was ok to deal with, she told me the prices and we agreed for delivery on Friday morning. As the delivery was due in an hour she calls me up and tells me that she did not realize the address even though I had given it to her at the start of the order and she then said there would be $150 delivery charge on a order only for $280. She was so rude and said it was my problem and not hers. I would not use this company, they clearly do not care about their customers and the lady was so unprofessional. I am not stuck with no playground mulch fro my daughters birthday party this Saturday and thats all because of this horrible company. read more

I got an appointment very quickly, the price was reasonable and the workers were courteous , It was something watching how they climbed the trees and how they worked.
