The only fault I can find is excessive Mayo and mustard. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Service is good.

This is our "go to" when driving to southern Utah on i15. Usually about once a month. Unfortunately, it feels like the entire experience is slipping - and has been for a while. Today's visit will be the last for a while. 6 pm on a Sunday. Dining room about 1/2 full. Seated quickly, water showed up quickly. Then crickets. I watched 3 tables seated AFTER us place their food orders. Eventually our server took our order - 20 min or so after the water arrived. Salads came out fast (they STILL haven't reopened the salad bar. Come on - "Covid" isn't a concern anymore. My usual (chicken fried chicken) arrived looking as it should. Chicken was a 10/10 - always is. The potatoes were cold. Not lukewarm - cold. Like the potatoes were played while the chicken was cooked, so they got cold while waiting. Or they have a problem with their steam table or whatever they have back there. Table next to us had the pot roast special - that patron sent their dish back because it was cold. My e tree also had cornbread on the side - I requested a dinner roll. Server said "oh - were out of dinner rolls". Their cornbread is ALWAYS dry - so I sent it back. No bread for me :( My date's macaroni and cheese was insult runny. The pecans seemed to be raw - they used to (and the menu states) they're toasted. I would have gladly shared this information with someone at the restaurant and withheld a yelp review - but Nobody ever checked on us. so no opportunity to share any of the issues. Cashier diddnt ask "how was everything". They didn't appear to be short staffed. But if they were - it's their fault. We stopped at the Creamery before heading to dinner because the creamery closes at 6. No staff shortage there - more staff than I could count. So if I'm response to this review your thoughts are defaulting to "staffing issues" - maybe it's time to do some self reflection. Really the most mediocre experience I've ever had there. The last few times have had elements of quality issues, but nothing like today. Very sad. read more

We stopped in Beaver for the night and were told that the Timberline Inn had good food and that it was one of, like, 2 restaurants in town. Well, the food was good. My burger was excellent and DH's liver and onions was very good. It's country restaurant atmosphere all the way--friendly and helpful. And the service was attentive without hovering. If traveling thru again, I'd stop for sure. read more

We have been aware of Timberline for years as we've seen it plenty of times as we've gone through Beaver. We stopped this time on the recommendation of a friend. Glad we did. We came at an off hour (3:30 PM) so I'm not sure how busy and slow things may be but our experience was great. We were seated right away and menus and water brought within a minute or two. Everything looked so good, but I had to go with the salmon and shrimp and it didn't disappoint. Shrimp were large and great tasting. Salmon was as well and cooked just right, not died out like is easy to do. My wife got the ribeye with shrimp. She enjoyed hers too. Ribeye is a thin cut so that was a little harder to keep at medium rare and hers ended up more medium than anything. The meals were preceded by large salads...much larger than anticipated. The only problem with a large salad and a large meal is that there was no room for dessert. That's too bad as they looked great. read more

I've been here twice now and the food is great! The last time I had mashed potatoes with the white wine shallot butter and oh my gosh, it was the best! I want to go back just for that! I also got the blackened chicken salad, it was a little heavy on the balsamic but was still delicious. Our waitress was amazing, she even made sure I liked balsamic when asking about that salad. What had been a nice meal and service was ruined by a deceptive illegal practice. Added on our ticket was a fee called cash adjustment after the taxes. When i questioned at the register what that was for I was told it was a fee for using a card for payment. I asked where there was a sign posting this illegal practice. Of course there was none. We'd come here several years ago and had not noticed this. Hopefully we were not overcharged then as well. BEWARE!! read more

So simple and great. It's like the best homemade comfort food. Just so happened to stop by on a road trip to get gas and seen this restaurant next door. Took a chance and I don't regret it whatsoever. Can't be a good old steak and eggs, but the chicken fried chicken was the dish to get. Great place to stop for a meal between SLC and St George! We had the club sandwich, Cobb salad and blueberry pie (or cobbler?) with ice cream and all were fantastic! Seriously the best Cobb salad I've ever had. Our server was wonderful too. read more

The waitress (Tish) was fantastic, friendly and on the ball. I had the Jalapeño, Blue Cheese burger. Nice toasted crispy bun and really good French fries. DH had the crispy chicken basket. It looked good. He said, it was very tasty. Clean bathrooms. A bit dated, but a place I will stop at again. We had been driving most of the day. It was a great choice. Great place to eat while stopping to charge our Tesla on a road trip through Utah. The half order of biscuits and gravy came with hash browns was good and plenty for me. The only (petty) complaint I had about it is that there was too much gravy and it got on the hash-browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, as was the toast. The Strawberry waffle was very very sweet, like a cake. It was good, but definitely a dessert - not a breakfast item. I would come here again if we happen to take this route back. read more

Hubby & I just checked out to pay our bill and my husband got the salmon, & Shrimp special that clearly stated $22.50 on the board as you walk in. The waitresses brought our check to us & we were charged $27.00. I mentioned what the sign said for $22.50 and our waitresses even agreed with me with what the sign had said & said to let the lady know when we pay so, I mentioned it to her and she said no, it's $27, so I went to look at the sign & you could clearly see that it was erased and was changed to $27. The food however, was good, but just frustrating that the sign was clearly changed, and we are thinking they changed it because there was a group of people sitting across from us that all ordered the special and they decided to up the price. We decided to grab a bite here after getting fuel at the gas station on our way down the 15. It is a fairly typical travel/gas station diner-ish style restaurant. Although the service was friendly, none of the workers there wore masks nor seemed overly concerned about social distancing. Our server got a little close too close to me for my comfort. So dine here at your own risk. It is a high traffic location, so truth is, we probably shouldn't have dined here. The food was okay. Prices were okay. Basically, an okay experience where you'll get edible food for okay prices. But as of our personal experience, not a good place if you want to minimize risk of exposure to Covid-19. read more

Looking for a delicious home cooked meal? This is the place! After a long day of driving, we wanted something hearty and satisfying....not just another burger. My husband had the pork chop dinner, which was cooked beautifully. Moist and served with a nice light sauce. My chicken picatta was succulent, with plenty of lemon flavor and a generous amount of capers, served on yummy mashed potatoes. Pre dinner salad was a good size and nicely garnished. Came in for lunch with my son on our way from Salt Lake City to Kanab as we needed a little break and were hungry. I ordered the Mexican salad, which was really tasty! The seasoned, grilled chicken was juicy and warm. The salad itself with avocado, corn, tomatoes and black beans was really fresh and crisp. They serve the dressing on the side which is very appreciated. My son (8 years old) ordered the buttered noodles and it came with two sizable pieces of focaccia. I noticed it was quite watery (didn't drain the noodles well) but my son didn't seem to mind and said it kept the noodles warm. ;). This place was delicious, we came on a busy night during a busy day where they were filled with all the families from the baseball tournament that was happening. Our server, Abbi, did an amazing job taking care of our group. We had 12 people, not easy amount of people to serve, especially on a busy night. But, she really impressed me. She kept her cool, kept a smile on her face, apologized when items took a little longer than expected, & did her very best to get us what we needed when we needed it. She was wonderful! Eat here all the time when in town. Burgers are too notch. They are $9 to $11 but they come with fries. Pretty standard diner fare. Salad bar is usually well stocked and fresh. Staff is always friendly and attentive. For. Place just off the freeway it's a go to stop. Prices are on the high end. Plates are loaded so it's a good trade off. Coming here is like taking a step back into my childhood. I grew up in Beaver, and the Timberline is a staple in the community. I can't count the number of meals I have enjoyed here. (Don't worry, I'm not biased at all) At first glance, you may think that the timberline is any other side of the freeway diner, but once you order their food, you will realize that it is a bit more than meets the eye. While most everything is tasty, I would recommend the following: 1. Salmon - It is dang good. Just trust me. 2. Monte Cristo - Why wouldn't you want a meaty, cheesy deep-fried sandwich covered in powdered sugar... Yea, it is pretty awesome. 3. Butter cake - If you get dessert, get the butter cake. I mean you can't go wrong with something that has "butter" and "cake" in the title. The prices are modest, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. What more can you ask for? read more
