Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese Sandwich
    Walter C.

Ha! Found a way to do this. I don't have to drive down here. I have my son drive me down here. Food still excellent. The classic grilled cheese pairs with the smoked brisket chili. Need to learn how to make this. Let my stomach settle and I'm going stuff my face with ice cream!!!!

Before you consider stopping here, believe all of the yelp reviews about wait time. Be prepared on a weekend to wait at least 45 minutes in line. We were debating whether to drive straight to Grand Junction and eat just dinner or stop somewhere for a late lunch. After reviewing the photos and reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We have been to Tillamook in Oregon and loved a front-facing dairy that provides their product, a restaurant, and true creamery. This was not like Tillamook. Here are things to consider in addition to the wait time. 1. This is an easy, accessible spot located right off the interstate. 2. They are family friendly with a vast outdoor patio and play space inside and outside. 3. The grilled cheese and tomato soup will not change your life, but it's a cheap eat. 4. They absolutely need to restructure how they approach customer service. Having three people outside cleaning and one person at the register to order food is going to continue to illicit subpar reviews. 5. Bathrooms are clean, very clean actually. 6. You can't order ice cream and food at the same place. 7. The patio is dog friendly. 8. They highlight their cheese, but do not have an opportunity to try anything. A lot of of the cheese is hefty portion so it is a commitment and you need a place to keep it cool on your trip. Would we be back again as we check back from Denver to California? No. Do we recommend that you stop by? That depends. If you have the time and it's a leisurely day for you, stop by. If you have kiddos, who need to run around and get some energy out, stop by. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, keep on driving.

I finally did what I've been saying I will do for years and that is to stop in Beaver during a roadtrip and go to the Creamery. I'm usually the type that just wants to get home so I attempt to make as few stops as possibly because southern and northern Utah but now I will be stopping in Beaver to visit the creamery as often as I can, even if it means I have to add 30+ minutes to my drive. We stopped by here on our most recent trip and we looked around it was too early for most things to sound appetizing so we did the sensible thing and got icecream at 9:30 in the morning we got a scoop of the Cookies and Cream and shared it between the 4 of us and it was honestly some of the best cookies and cream icecream I have ever had so I am excited to try some different flavors. A lot of the offerings in the Creamery are made in house so you're getting high quality stuff for your roadtrip cravings. I will also note that the bathrooms here are superior to most other bathrooms along I-15 so you should stop here for that reason alone.

Stopped into this place definitely worth a stop in. They've got ice cream and delicious food. It's priced decently. I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was definitely good and I will return for another round. Definitely a nice place to stop if you're on the highway want to get some lunch let your dogs out, or get some ice cream. They also have cute store inside with all kinds of goodies.

"He spends his winters in his workshop Slaving in that northern creamery" (Hanson) On the long drive from Bryce to Salt Lake City, our tour bus made a stop at a very cool place. I mean, how else can you describe somewhere that sells 30 kinds of ice cream, scores of cheeses, meats, a restaurant with breakfast, soups, salads, mac n' cheese, sandwiches, pizza, plus clothing. Kitchenware and Lord knows what else. Welcome to The Creamery, a wonderful oasis for the weary ice cream loving traveler. We each had a small dish of ice cream, very reasonably priced at just $4 for a decently sized "small". Our flavor choices were BARKING PRETZEL (Brown sugar-flavored ice cream swirled with a peanut butter swirl, chocolaty coated pretzel pieces and salty pretzel bark pieces) and I'M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY (Huckleberry ice cream blended with natural blueberries and huckleberry swirls). They were both very good, but I thought the peanut butter flavors in the Barking Pretzel made it the winner. The cheese selection is incredible, and only the fact that everything was refrigerated made it impractical for us to buy anything. But if we were able to, it would have been a difficult chore to choose between their four cheese curds, twelve cheddars, and twelve specialties. I would have loved to try their Creamery Jalapeño Jack Cheese or Creamery Fiery Jack Cheese. We had a wonderful visit. PRO TIP Sorry, but they DO NOT offer samples of their ice cream flavors.

If you're driving on I-15 and are going to pass Beaver, definitely stop at the Creamery. I always think I'll just run in for ice cream, but I leave with food, gifts, and lots of cheese. The cheese curds are a family favorite and we like the regular and mildly spicier jalapeño varieties. Their Gouda and cream cheese were also wonderful. We were a little disappointed in the grilled cheese sandwich and soup, but maybe that's because it just took so dang long for them to make it. But we perused all the fun items in the shop and employees visited with us and offered recommendations. It is a pretty big space, So give yourself a little extra time to meander and try a few things. It's always a fun break on a road trip.

The honey taffy, dog areas, grilled cheese, bacon mac, kid's area decor and the flags. Awesome stop!

Tourist, trucker, and dog-friendly!! There's so much parking and even a gravel area where I saw a semi. Each light pole had a huge trash can making eating in the parking lot no problem. There was also a dog-friendly grassy area nearby complete with a poo station. There's basically 4 large sections to this business: ice cream store, restaurant, interactive kids play area, and the cheese/souvenir shop. I left with stickers, three blocks of cheese, some honey taffy (at $1.30 a piece, I am savoring each bite!), sarsaparilla soda and lunch for two. I ordered the braised beef grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup. The meat was lean and piled high. It came with an au jus; everything was delicious. I tried the smoky bacon mac and cheese, and it was way too salty. I did enjoy the fat corkscrew pasta, but it got cold fast and the cheese got a bit grainy (points for real cheese though!) The fries come with "fry sauce" which- surprise! It's a cheesy dipping sauce. The girls who helped me were super friendly. It was busy and the lines moved quickly. Overall, a worthy stop if you enjoy dairy products! Pros: - fantastic selection of cheeses - unique groceries - indoor and al fresco dining - spacious layout - tons of parking; easy in and out - dog-friendly grassy area - they'll ship cheese in cooler months - compostable to-go containers Cons: - VERY pricey - restroom very dirty close to opening time - credit card machine doesn't allow for tipping (bring some cash!)

Lunch from Creamery Kitchen. Classic grilled cheese, cheese curds, avacado chicken ranch sandwich.

Well organized and lots to see. The food was delicious and set in a beautiful area to match the food with the view. We got lunch and ice cream while checking out all the merchandise and even explored the fun children's educational area.

They have the meat. The food is good the service is great and the ambiance is great as well

This place had great ice cream and ambience (though seating was limited and in full sun for most of outside) but the food was just so-so and the prices were high for what you got. We did enjoy looking around but wish the line for food was shorter. They really could use adding a couple more spots for ordering at the counter. A tip: don't get the bacon in the Mac n cheese. If overpowers it and you can't taste the cheese.

Just a small section of the ice cream available

Excellent sandwiches. Gooey melted cheese, the short rib meat was so tender and full of flavor. The patty melt with the rye bread was fantastic as well. Both came with fries, hot and perfectly salted. Definitely worth the stop. You'll have to decide on sandwich or ice cream as portions are huge and, unless you are a teenager, you probably won't be able to finish both. It might be a good idea to split a sandwich and then choose an ice cream. Don't forget to purchase something from the cheese shop. Real deal cheese Seriously good ice cream. This place is well worth the stop For that alone. There is a café with breakfast and sandwich offerings. And plenty of seating. The other half of the establishment sells large blocks and wheels of cheese, locally made cookies, honey, and jams. There's also a gift shop with a cute array of items on display including rustic cheese boards. One of the picture I was here happens to be cheese curds, the real deal. You can get them in plain, salsa, or jalapeño cheese curds. This is a bit of drive from the freeway exit. Truly worth the drive.

Many house made cheeses in different sizes.

This place right off of I-15 is a must stop. Ice Cream parlor, Restaurant, Store for anything milk related. The cheese selections are fantastic and delicious. The ice cream is killer. We have tried the food section, but I hear the grilled cheese Sammie's are awesome. Super clean place, clean restrooms for travelers. Huge grass area for dogs to play and . Plenty of outdoor seating with fire pits etc. Awesome place but expensive.
