They have pies in the display case, they looked good, but we were too full. The serving sizes were decent. I was not expecting it to be so good (because we just pulled over on a road trip) but wow it was delicious. I got the turkey/ cranberry sandwich. The mashed potatoes and bread were homemade. My steak was larger than advertised. The special was a 12 oz steak and taco soup--which were delicious. How come 12 oz steaks elsewhere are much smaller? Maybe they're just a bit more honest here? I really wanted to try one of the fancy cheesecakes on display, but they gave me too much cornbread and honey. Also, my lemonade was on the large side, and they forgot to charge me for refilling it. We stumbled onto this place which was a small miracle. Any place that has gluten-free buns in the middle of nowhere, that's a no-brainer. I'm in. Thank you for thinking of me! My friend's go-to is biscuits and gravy. So that was also a no-brainer. And it came with the best hash browns. His monte cristo was off-the-charts. My bizarre open-faced turkey dinner sandwich...not so much. But that's OK. I just would pick something else next time. Coming from out-of-town, I was a little surprised to see the lack of the normal safety measures I usually see for covid. We had an amazing chat with the waitress about how the town has fared. This place feels like it's heyday was back in the eighties, but they have homemade food that's honest. For being far away in Beaver, it's neat one can get a Monte Cristo sandwich, which is impeccably prepared. There's not enough of it and whilst the service itself is generally good, it appears to be slower at some days/points. My female companion remarked the toilet seat herein was the coldest she's ever experienced, but there was snow on the ground outside. There'a more places to stop in Beaver, but this place will at least be a safe haven from your storms and the foods cooked to order. read more

This place was amazing! The food was piping hot and delicious! Their Focaccia bread is a must have, and so is their Spanish cheesecake which is a lot more dense but so delicious! Our waitress was very friendly, and always made sure we if we needed anything else. The restaurant itself is very clean and cozy and it gives me nostalgia of when my grandma and I would go to eat at these kind of restaurants. For a one horse town, food was excellent. Service was good, servers were very hospitable. Though one of the servers kept yelling at the kitchen staff through the pass through window and that kind of killed the ambiance. We had lunch here while spending a day in Beaver UT. I had the French dip. The bread in this sandwich was very good. I'm not a fan of heard crusty rolls like I usually find on a FD. This was soft and tasty roll with shredded, not sliced beef. Service was great at this classic restaurant. Combo of booths and tables was as expected. The Monte Cristo was the best! my first Monte Cristo was the one they used to serve at the blue Bayou in Disneyland...DL dusted theirs with powdered sugar but the Timberline Inn version does not disappoint. Big enough to share and a slice of Spanish cheesecake for dessert made a full and satisfying meal. read more

We never got what we ordered. We ordered a simple turkey bacon avocado sandwich, biscuits, and a regular lemonade. First we didn't get the sandwich. It was completely different and came with coleslaw not fries like asked. Then we get the receipt and we were charged for a raspberry lemonade not a regular one. I was passing through Beaver UT and had a breakdown that unfortunately took a few days to get fixed. I happen to stay at the hotel located right behind this restaurant. I actually dined twice at this restaurant once dine in and takeout. The first time was dine in and I ordered a seafood special Salmon and shrimp with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The service was good and the food was too . The order came with a salad and a hot dinner roll. Good choice for quality, taste, portion and taste. On my second visit I wanted to grab something quick and get back to my room. So I decided to give the fish n chips a try. I once again got lucky because I liked how the fish was fried crispy and tasty not sure what batter it was fried in but it was good . It with plenty of shoestring fries I couldn't finish it all. Great little spot to eat in Beaver. It has a very homestyle feel and the staff was so nice and the server amazing. I had the salmon and shrimp dinner and not only was it delicious, it was a lovely presentation too. That sauce on top was so good! Salad to start and it came with either a roll or the cornbread. I have really liked their Chicken Farfalle in the past. Was there for lunch this weekend and it was not on the lunch menu. Breakfast and lunch items only. Had a French Dip sandwich which was good but I didn't care for it on focaccia bread. Doesn't seem to soak up the au jus very well. Just my taste but I wasn't a fan of the sauce on the sandwich. This is our "go to" when driving to southern Utah on i15. Usually about once a month. Unfortunately, it feels like the entire experience is slipping - and has been for a while. Today's visit will be the last for a while. 6 pm on a Sunday. Dining room about 1/2 full. Seated quickly, water showed up quickly. Then crickets. I watched 3 tables seated AFTER us place their food orders. Eventually our server took our order - 20 min or so after the water arrived. Salads came out fast (they STILL haven't reopened the salad bar. Come on - "Covid" isn't a concern anymore. My usual (chicken fried chicken) arrived looking as it should. Chicken was a 10/10 - always is. The potatoes were cold. Not lukewarm - cold. Like the potatoes were played while the chicken was cooked, so they got cold while waiting. Or they have a problem with their steam table or whatever they have back there. Table next to us had the pot roast special - that patron sent their dish back because it was cold. My e tree also had cornbread on the side - I requested a dinner roll. Server said "oh - were out of dinner rolls". Their cornbread is ALWAYS dry - so I sent it back. No bread for me :( My date's macaroni and cheese was insult runny. The pecans seemed to be raw - they used to (and the menu states) they're toasted. I would have gladly shared this information with someone at the restaurant and withheld a yelp review - but Nobody ever checked on us. so no opportunity to share any of the issues. Cashier diddnt ask "how was everything". They didn't appear to be short staffed. But if they were - it's their fault. We stopped at the Creamery before heading to dinner because the creamery closes at 6. No staff shortage there - more staff than I could count. So if I'm response to this review your thoughts are defaulting to "staffing issues" - maybe it's time to do some self reflection. Really the most mediocre experience I've ever had there. The last few times have had elements of quality issues, but nothing like today. Very sad. read more

I've been here twice now and the food is great! The last time I had mashed potatoes with the white wine shallot butter and oh my gosh, it was the best! I want to go back just for that! I also got the blackened chicken salad, it was a little heavy on the balsamic but was still delicious. Our waitress was amazing, she even made sure I liked balsamic when asking about that salad. We have been aware of Timberline for years as we've seen it plenty of times as we've gone through Beaver. We stopped this time on the recommendation of a friend. Glad we did. We came at an off hour (3:30 PM) so I'm not sure how busy and slow things may be but our experience was great. We were seated right away and menus and water brought within a minute or two. Everything looked so good, but I had to go with the salmon and shrimp and it didn't disappoint. Shrimp were large and great tasting. Salmon was as well and cooked just right, not died out like is easy to do. My wife got the ribeye with shrimp. She enjoyed hers too. Ribeye is a thin cut so that was a little harder to keep at medium rare and hers ended up more medium than anything. The meals were preceded by large salads...much larger than anticipated. The only problem with a large salad and a large meal is that there was no room for dessert. That's too bad as they looked great. read more

What had been a nice meal and service was ruined by a deceptive illegal practice. Added on our ticket was a fee called cash adjustment after the taxes. When i questioned at the register what that was for I was told it was a fee for using a card for payment. I asked where there was a sign posting this illegal practice. Of course there was none. We'd come here several years ago and had not noticed this. Hopefully we were not overcharged then as well. BEWARE!! read more
