Circleville was on the off road circuit neatled in a beautifully green valley near the Paiyute region in Utah. We stopped in here for a quick bite. We had home fries, the French dip, and the patty melt. As you can see, they were visually appealing and the taste was no different. Very large portions for the price; fresh and expertly prepared. The homemade desserts looked amazing, but I did not sample. Small place, just 8-10 tables with quick, efficient and friendly service by Micaela. She suggested that we stop at Butch Cassidy's home on the way out of town. We were allowed to drive the buggy right on the city streets which made everything convenient. read more

We stopped here and on the way to Kodachrome Basin State Park from Colorado and again on the way home. We had the French Dip which was delicious and my husband enjoyed his Butch's hamburger. When we walked in and saw a very happy biker, I knew we were in for a food treat. Bikers know where the good food stops are! I can't pinpoint one thing that was better than anything else! Between all of us we had a burger, the Philly, chicken strips, and bacon chowder. Everything was just as delicious as the other. The Philly dip was so tender and well balanced with cheese and meat. I don't know how they managed to make a burger with cheese and onions taste fresh and light but they did! It was amazing! Tator tots or fries? Get both! We took all 5 flavors of hand-pies to go (plus a slice of carrot cake) but ate a slice of heavenly chocolate cake there. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a meal you won't regret! Amazing gourmet mom and pop diner en route to Bryce and near the Butch Cassidy childhood home. The cowboy breakfast - hash browns smothered in cheese, topped with eggs anyway you want. I did over medium per local Rec. while i thought it had meat it was the deluxe version that did. My wife and daughter and I stopped in for lunch twice this week while passing through Circleville, UT on our way to and from Capital Reef and Bryce Canyon Nat'l Parks. This is a gem of a spot favored by many of the locals. Each time we visited the place was packed with a number of locals and smattering of road warriors and visitors staying nearby. They offer a variety of salads, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, soup and home made desserts. My wife and daughter had salads with grilled chicken and cups of their features soup. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger with French fries and a side salad. We finished our meal with a piece of their carrot cake and cappuccinos. Everything tasted great and was freshly prepared. Our servers were friendly and seemed to take pleasure in knowing that we - and seemingly everyone else in the place - enjoyed our/their meals. The decor inside is akin to a comfortable neighborhood diner with "wanted posters", portraits and knickknacks depicting desperados from the old west (including, of course, Butch Cassidy). Honestly, there is nothing bad to say. The three of us ordered Butch's Best Burger with three different sides. The side salad was a beautifully-presented bowl of lettuce, grated cheese, grape tomatoes and cucumber slices where the peel has been peeled off in strips--NOT what I was expecting! The tots were perfectly crisp, as were the onion rings ("They were solid. They were not fast food onion rings"). The lemon raspberry roll was a lovely piece of confectionery. Our server was friendly and helpful. We travel US-89 several times a year. Now that we know about this place, we'll be sure to time our drive to show up around breakfast or lunch time. I grabbed a burger here on my way to Kanab and couldn't have been happier. I got the Butch's Best Burger with the soup and hell yeah this place was great. It had a great local vibe and great local people having lunch. Really had a good time. The burger was fresh as can be and the soup was hot and tasty. We showed up near closing and they were more than accommodating in getting us our food. We asked for it to go. Everything seemed freshly made and tasted fantastic. The ladies that were there running the place were very nice and welcoming. I haven't tried their desserts yet but they looked very delicious and will be back for that. We took a little trip and this restaurant was close by where we were staying. So we ate here several times with our five kids. They were very accommodating, the food was delicious, and the dark chocolate raspberry ice cream was to die for! This place is definitely family friendly, and they have really good desserts! My kids loved the chicken fingers and tater tots. I loved the veggie stack for breakfast with hashbrowns, and my son loved the French toast sticks. There's some great history and nostalgia here. We stopped in for breakfast and on the way out we learned about "hand pies". We tried the Bavarian Cream pie & the Cherry pie. Both were delicious. Fast forward 2 days and we had dinner which was tremendous. The Patty Melt & BLT with the fries & salad made a great meal. The place is so good we are riding 50+ miles one-way for lunch tomorrow! After a long morning of fishing at Otter Creek Reservoir, we were looking for a good meal. Went into Butch Cassidy's and had just that! I ordered the classic cheeseburger, and when in Utah, you add fry sauce to your burger. It was beyond delicious. The food and service was top notch! Before we left, the dessert counter enticed us with carrot cake! Took it home and enjoyed every last crumb. The cream cheese frosting is truly what dreams are made of. We were going through some small towns in Utah looking for breakfast. We got there at the closing time for breakfast but they were willing to accommodate us. Best breakfast ever. I had the sausage and egg sandwich. I'm not sure why it tasted so good but that cook did some magic. My husband had bacon and eggs with fresh not frozen home fries. The restaurant was very clean and homey. Service was very good and they had some fresh turnovers that we had to take to go. We will definitely stop there again when go through Circleville. read more

We drove through a couple small towns looking for somewhere to sit down and eat. Finally we came upon Butch Cassidy's Hideout Cafe! I love the old west vibe so it was a no-brainer that we pull in. There were different things to read on the walls, including wanted posters and a plaque with one of his pistols. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! The server was super sweet and very friendly! Got some chocolate and carrot cakes to go, great choice. The food was awesome, service was awesome, and it was a fun themed food spot. What a fun stop when leaving Bryce National Park. It was mid morning and I was tempted by the sign reading that all deserts were homemade. I got back in the car with a giant slice of carrot cake that is absolutely nothing like what is sold today (learned the recipe is from the 60's). It was spectacular. Real cream/butter and whole milk are used in the baking. The breakfasts filling the tables throughout the place looked pretty darned good as well. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Quickly seated and warmly greeted. Waitress took our order promptly and efficiently. We ordered the Turkey/ Avocado wrap and a side salad with coffee and iced tea.
