Retro Diner, Home Town Values, Henrie's Drive-in, Home of the Chubby Cheese and best Onion Rings around!

Best Chubby Cheese and Onion Rings ever! The shakes are super good as well! The service is fabulous, everyone is always friendly. Drive up or go in to an old town hamburger shop that is has been in Panguitch for so so many years! Great to sit inside or outside in the cute surroundings!

Well if you happen to be passing through and are just the least bit hungry get yourself a Chubby here! Great double patty burger cooked perfect with all the fixens. Little slow on the service so taking away one star for the long wait on my burgers. Try their Piccadilly style fries for a treat. Pillow soft inside, great with fry sauce. Old fashion diner style in the inside.

Ordered 2 of the #1 special, a chubby cheeseburger w/fries and a soda. Only $20 so price was great! It's very small inside, I definitely wouldn't take a large group to eat inside the restaurant. We had our baby in a stroller and maneuvering that in such a small space almost gave me a panic attack lol It took 20 minutes to get our food, which seemed a little long. But after the fact I noticed they don't have many people working there. The customer service was in, order, pay, here's your food etc .. no chit chat or welcome greeting or whatever, you can take what you want from that. The food was really good actually, simple but great flavor. The fries were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The burger is very plain, just shredded lettuce, chopped onion, cheese and their special sauce (ketchup & mayo mixed) on a bun. Charbroiled with great flavor and not too massive that it was falling apart. It does have two Pattie's. The serving size was not over the top. Pretty much just right. Overall it was good food priced good. Nothing overly special but no serious complaints.

    Inside seating.

Henries is a cute little made fresh to order burger and shake shack with a drive-in. Staying in Panguitch for the night in my way to CO and BnB hosts recommended this spot. It had a nice simple menu with a lot of shake flavors. I'm sugar free so did not try one but they sure looked great! I tried the 4 piece chicken strip basket with fries. It came with Ranch and your choice of dipping sauces. I chose Fry Sauce and the Ranch. The coating on the chicken was like a panko crispy and the chicken tasty. I enjoyed the long skinny fries with a bit of the skin on them. Fresh and not too salty. Good sized portion for around $10. It was a very popular stop for the locals! It has outdoor seating and big picnic areas for larger groups. Inside tables sat 2 or 4. I would recommend Henries if you are in the area.

It was the strangest tasting peach cobbler my wife and I had ever eaten. Even with the ice cream it didn't hide that taste. The peaches were small exact cubes so that let me know they were some type of processed fruit. Again GREAT staff of servers but not a good meal

We arrived about 6 and waited about 20 minutes for a very nice booth. We split a pretty good-sized house salad. It was fine. I had the trout with asparagus and sweet potato fries. Fish (lemon pepper and salt) was tasty and perfectly prepared. Asparagus was also perfectly cooked, still a bit of crunch. The fries were too limp but tasted good. My hubs ordered the ribeye. Looked so juicy and charred but was a bit tough. Flavor was great and it was a gigantic 16-oz. portion. Coffee was tasteless, unfortunately. The absolute highlight of the meal was the pie! The apple pie is the best I have ever eaten. The filling contained nice slices of apples, no mushy stuff here. And the crust was incredibly flaky with a bit of sugar baked on top. My husband ordered the cherry pie à la mode and was quite pleased with the pie and two little scoops of ice cream alongside. Nice staff too! This place is popular for a reason. It HAS to be that incredible pie.

So glad we had dinner early because this place was a bit packed, I believe, due to it being the week of Thanksgiving. Food was good! I enjoyed my elk burger and kinda wish I didn't get bacon since it overpowered the elk a bit. The elk was delicious. I should've just ordered 2 patties. My wife had the rainbow trout. Not the best trout I've had, but it was okay. They were a bit short staffed, hence the crowd waiting in the lobby. So kudos to our waitress, who was the only server on this Monday shift. The bartender also had to do double duty, seating us. Overall, despite the understaffing issue, we had a nice dinner. When's the next time you'd get to eat elk! Our server Hallie (I think) was awesome and literally ran around helping the tables. Also, great selection of beers!!
