In the tiny town of Tropic, Utah this was a real find! For dinner we all had loaded potatoes with brisket. The service and food were fabulous! So we returned the next morning for breakfast. Still had great service and breakfast was perfect! Requested extra crispy bacon and it was just like I prefer it! Great stop. Attached grocery store for necessities and ice cream!

We were on our way to Bryce Canyon and this was one of the options outside of the park for lunch. We were seated right away and the restaurant was not busy. Our server was very attentive. I got the chicken caesar salad and it was alright. My chicken was a bit overcooked, but the dressing and rest of the salad was good. Coffee was tasty. There is only one bathroom available so when it gets busy I'm sure it could be a little annoying.

This is a solid place for a good meal. Clean and staff is friendly and helpful. We started with Fried Green Beans which were my favorite of everything! So crispy and the green beans were tender yet not overcooked. My husband ordered Chicken Quesadilla which was a huge portion and quite tasty! There was plenty of chicken in the oooey gooey cheese! My Cheeseburger and Onion RIngs really hit the spot. Nice medium sear on the burger and still juicy. Onion rings were crispy rings with actual onions inside. Great experience and good food!

Staying in Tropic, UT we were able to walk to the restaurant. So many items to choose from. Wife had the alfredo, said it was the best she's ever had (and she has eaten a lot of pasta). Had the country fried steak, loved the country gravy on it, you get 2 sides with it as well. Subanna, our server was very pleasant and gave us great service.

My girlfriend and I spent 4th of July weekend in Bryce Canyon, UT. On 7/5 we went hiking at mossy cave trail and decided to find a restaurant nearby for breakfast. This is what brought us to Rustlers Restaurant, from the moment we arrived the hateful energy was perceived but I am one to give people the benefit of the doubt and also a chance to correct their behavior. When we arrived we sat in the waiting area waiting to be sat or even just greeted for more than 5 min the hostess walked past made eye contact with my girlfriend but still did not greet us, shortly after an older white gentleman walked in he was immediately greeted and sat she then returned and asked us if we had been helped which was a pretty redundant question since you watched us sit here and knew you didn't help us but like I said I gave her the benefit of the doubt maybe she got busy? She sat us at our table and another server came to greet us and take our order she was very pleasant and I wish I got her name because I don't want this review in anyway to reflect on her, we later found out she was the acting manager so if that helps you identify her know that she was kind and her service was perfectly acceptable however, this other server/hostess acted disgustingly our entire visit. After our server(manager) brought our drinks I forgot to ask for straws so when server(hostess) walked by I asked her for the straws she made eye contact with me as I asked but didn't reply and kept walking so I wasn't sure if she heard my request but she did in fact come back with the straws set them on the table without a word, I thanked her although she probably didn't even hear me because she walked away as quickly as she dropped the straws to us. Weird behavior for someone in service but again I let it slide maybe she's just in a hurry. After we finished our meal and paid our check my girlfriend noticed I hadn't finished my drink I suggested we take it to go, I waited for our server(manager) but server(hostess) passed by first so I asked her for a to go cup she nodded and went to the back, when she returned she had plates of food for her table but no cup, no problem her hands were full right? She went to the back again then returned to another table to close out their check, still no cup, she left and returned again to clear their table, no cup. She left returned again with cleaning supplies to clean the table she cleared still no cup. At this point I'm thinking surely she forgot so after she wiped the table I called out to her politely and said "excuse me" she made eye contact I began to say " we asked you for a to go cup not sure if you forgot" but I could not finish my sentence because while I spoke and held her eye contact she continued to walk away and ignore me. That is when I could no longer make excuses for her behavior and I got up to look for the manager, her behavior and attitude was beyond nasty. I am unsure if her issue with us was that we were BLACK or that we were GAY. Regardless the reason, this is who is employed at Rustlers Restaurant DO NOT EAT HERE THIS IS NOT A SAFE OR WELCOMING PLACE. If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would

Expensive, but so is just about everything out here. We had BLT's, fries and a drink. About $60, with tip, It was ok tasting, but I literally had 1.5 pieces of bacon on that sandwich . Staff was very nice, only reason they rated more than one star.

This is your middle of nowhere, extensively varied, with a voluminous menu, pretty darn decent cooking, a very spacious setting, super friendly staff place for eats - of almost anything you desire! Considering there's pretty much nowhere else to go, we must say, their offerings are good, no, very good. The selections run the gamut for everyone in the family, from typical American to BBQ, from Pastas to Mexican, from steak to sea food, just to mention a few. Oh, did I mention beer and wine? We stopped in for breakfast recently while visiting Bryce Canyon National Park and found it to hit just the right spot for our hunger pangs. I had a well-prepared Ham and Cheese Omelet on the requested soft with Hash Browns, great hash browns and a fabulous Sourdough bread and my wife enjoyed her Ham and Cheese Omelet well done also with Hash Browns and but with Rye Bread. Fab! This is an eats joint way out yonder that you can actually count on for a great meal. No need for a fast-food joint around here. This is most definitely a recommended place for victuals when in the area.

Empty plate where the Philly cheesesteak was. But I ate it!!

We missed the live music since we arrived so early to snag a seat (place fills quickly!) FOOD: Popcorn provided as a snack-- yum! We ordered the steak and ribs, which were both good. The steak was simply seasoned but cooked medium rare as requested and tender. The ribs were tender (not quite fall-off-the-bone but easy to eat) and the barbecue sauce was tasty with a bit of a kick. We could each choose two sides, so we chose soup (red pepper and Gouda, like a tasty spin on tomato soup) and loaded baked potato (well done!) for the steak, and mashed potatoes (served broccoli instead, but it's fine) and onion rings (tasty & crispy). Condiments including ketchup, A1 sauce and mayonnaise were all on the table for easy access. SERVICE: Very nice and attentive. OVERALL: Very good choice among the relatively limited options nearby. Seats do fill up quickly. We missed the live music but were seated with the first seating without a wait, so we were content.

We decided to risk the lunch buffet for $18 at Ruby's Inn, figuring that there would be at least one item we would enjoy. There isn't much information about what's actually included in the buffet, either on review sites or on their own website, so we were a bit worried about the selection. While Ruby's Inn can't match a buffet in a larger city, we found the selection to be good enough, with plenty of protein and carb options, veggies including a salad bar, and dessert afterwards. Originally we thought most of the dishes would be Sysco food heated up, but I think Ruby's Inn actually makes a surprising number of items in house. Some notes for the meat selection: Pulled pork - dry but it's quite smoky like they actually smoked it rather than using liquid smoke. Zuppa Toscana Soup - might be from a bag, but is doctored a bit making it peppery and thick. Orange Chicken - gummy with thick breading and low meat ratio, but seems to be made with real orange juice in house. Meatloaf - dry with a thick layer of ketchup baked on top. Baked chicken - bone dry and extremely overcooked. For the carbs, there's sweet cornbread with a condensed milk sauce, rice pilaf that's surprisingly hearty, mashed potato that doesn't seem to be from powder or premix since it has small chunks still, that comes with chicken gravy, and finally mac & cheese, soft with a Velveeta-esque sauce. For dessert, there's vanilla and chocolate soft serve with Hershey's chocolate and caramel topping, and three types of standard buffet dessert squares. I don't make the food sound that appetizing (and honest it would deserve a 3 rating at max in any other setting), but considering the style of dining, the pricing, and the lack of competition in the area, it's good enough to satisfy. Pro-tip: try to time a visit around the tour buses. We arrived at 1:30PM on a Wednesday to a pretty empty restaurant. Thirty minutes later four entire tour buses unloaded their passengers, who were clearly ravenous due to eating such a late lunch. The restaurant instantly filled up and the line for food stretched down the hall and around the corner. Bathrooms - Plenty of larger rooms with multiple stalls around the hotel

The ribs come with one trip to the salad bar, a big baked potato (not the tiny ones so common in restaurants these days), and a few spears of asparagus. The ribs were meaty with plenty of sauce. It was a good dinner. The buffet has two sections for salad. One didn't have any carrots or beets or other toppings that I wanted for my salad like the other section did, so check out what is in the salad bar before you get in line. There was a lady waiting to refill the mixed green/lettuce, and I offered to let her do it but she wanted to wait until after me even though there were others also waiting. My mixed greens were not the freshest. Buffet had things like macaroni and cheese, potatoes, vegetables, chicken, meatloaf, and desserts.

By the time we finished our hike it was getting pretty late and our dinner options were running slim. We were staying at the Bryce Canyon Resort and decided to try the restaurant on site. We had plans to eat at the Bryce Canyon Pines Restaurant but we were running short on time to get there. The reviews for Cowboy Ranch House were not great so it was not our first choice. Anyway we walked in and there were about 5 tables having dinner which looked fairly busy. The restaurant was well lit and the decor definitely Western Cowboy. It was a female server that seated us and Jesus, which we learned later was the new manager as of a few months ago. Jesus was our server and very friendly. I got the 14oz ribeye which said it was 'local' on the menu which made it even more attractive. My girlfriend ordered the 1/2 Rack of Pork Ribs (bummed I didn't get a pic) to share with her daughter. OMG the ribeye was fantastic...well seasoned and perfectly med-rare! And to top that off it was only $34!!! Unheard of in San Diego for a ribeye with sides. The Pork Ribs were also freakin' good! Crispy, juicy and fall off the bone delicious. As well, I ended up getting 2 old fashioneds which were $11 each...again decent priced cocktails. I highly recommend this place despite the reviews of the past. I think Jesus had something to do with the more recent high praise reviews being the new manager. I wish we had stayed another night so that I could get the ribeye again but we were pushing to get to Yellowstone the next day. Hands Down...best meal in Bryce Canyon!!

One of us got coconut shrimp and the other grilled shrimp and we split them between us. The one bright spot was the shrimp came with a decent amount - 10 coconut and 8 grilled. However the food was quite bad...the shrimp had no flavor, even the coconut one. The fries were horrible. The asparagus was not cooked or even fit to serve. I dropped one on the floor and I was surprised it didn't go through the floor. Service was also bad- really tried to rush people in and out. The drinks came without any straws or refills.
