Just found my new taco spot far away from home…read more Since I've been trucking for almost a week now, I've had the chance to try new food spots on the road -- mostly takeout, no sit-down -- and this place genuinely surprised me. The food was hot, fresh, and way better than expected. If I'm being honest, it was kind of a shocker. It's almost sad to say, but this was better than a lot of what I've had on my recent occasions in San Antonio. I stopped in quickly since we had to get back on the road, and from ordering to food in hand it took no more than 5-7 minutes. I ordered three mini tacos at $3 each, which is a solid price for Utah. I went with one carne asada, one lengua, and one adobada, all topped with cilantro and onion, served on fresh corn tortillas. The tortillas were soft, warm, and clearly made fresh. For salsas, I had two salsa verdes and one salsa roja. The salsa verde was classic and mild -- very fresh and flavorful, though I personally prefer it a bit spicier. The salsa roja delivered exactly what I was looking for with good heat and great flavor. I almost ordered tacos suaves, but I was really craving the mini tacos and I'm glad I went with them. Next time, I'll definitely try the tacos suaves. Everything tasted freshly made and not rushed, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is located inside the Flying J off Interstate 15 (Exit 112), and I was also impressed with how clean the Flying J itself was. Great service as well -- the guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming. This stop turned into a great meal and a new memory in the small town of Beaver, Utah. I'll definitely be back if my routes bring me through again. Highly recommend stopping by Beaver Taco if you're passing through.

They were delicious! We asked for red sauce, green sauce, paid a little extra for pico de gallo, and the nice lady working there gave me pickled jalapeños upon request. Many Mexican restaurants in Southern California, where we live, don't offer the relleno burrito, so that was a win. The whole experience was a win for us, so check them out!

The hot air balloon festival was epic! The gem theater was really the crown jewel when it comes to the friendliest people I met on my entire trip. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was playing and none in our group had seen it, so we thought it would be a good way to relax. The 3 guys behind the counter were helpful and just about everyone had ice cream of some kind of candy to take into the theater. We are all seniors and the price was $6.50 to see the movie, and they only had maybe 5 minutes of reviews before the actual movie started. Although the theater was pretty empty, 4 of us chose to sit in the balcony and the other 4 in the lower seats. The balcony seats in the first two rows were more comfortable according to one couple who tried downstairs and then came upstairs, but everyone in our group enjoyed the atmosphere, the people, the movie and the theater.

Well, there claim is pretty legit. Very legit. It's an unassuming place with unassuming prices that buy you great food and friendly service. Seriously, like way back when friendly service and prices. We had the hand cut fries, a patty melt and bacon jalapeño burger--both with side salads--and a drink...all for $35. The burgers and fries were great. I just wish we would have saved room for the $3 milkshake or the $3 slice of made-today pie. A definite dont miss if you're driving I-15 in the Beehive State!

She gave us menus and directed us to sit anywhere we'd like. The burger menus is quite extensive, and they all come with fries, soup or salad. 3 of us ordered cheeseburgers and 1 got the loaded burger, all with fries on the side. Food is cooked to order, which took about 15 minutes. Our 3 cheeseburgers came out first with the loaded burger just a couple minutes behind. Fries were hot and plentiful, and we all enjoyed our burgers. Hubby noted that the guac on his burger was on the lemony/limey side, so that's good for patrons to know. We were lucky to just beat the lunch rush, as a few more groups came in shortly after us. Loaded Burgers is a solid place if you have a few more extra minutes to spare for your stop/meal.

It's a small place, but as we ordered I remembered their awesome homemade salsa! We had the hit variety. So good. My wife had the chicken enchilada, beans and rice. I had the Chili Releno. Chicken enchilada was pretty big, stuffed with tender chicken. Beans were the kind you cook for hours to achieve the nice background flavors. Service was warm and friendly. If you are a vegetarian, make sure to look at the back of the menu to find vegetarian options. We had a very interesting vegetarian tamale, it was an open face tamale, covered with many different vegetables and cheese. I have never had anything like it, and it was quite good. My husband also had one and also a cheese enchilada. The servers were very nice and the restaurant was very clean. If you have a large group though, you need to make a reservation. I haven't seen too many recent reviews so I wanted to leave one that is more current.
