Chicken chimichangas with a burrito called "the California."

We just got done hiking Zion National Park and went off to go see Bryce National Park next but wanted to eat some dinner before settling in for the night. We saw this on maps, and we wanted to see what it was all about! We walked in and saw one other person there (we didn't know the restaurant is brand new), so we were thinking about how good it would be. Let me tell you, this place blew me and my wife away with how good the food was! The presentation for the meals alone was super surprising for a small town. The server and owner were amazing to talk to as well. We ordered dessert and asked the owner how he specifically liked it for the churro and the first question he asked in a funny way was "are you on a diet?" It was all super good, a rare gem. I hope you guys do well!

Burrito super dry with no flavor. I've had better burritos at Taco Bell for much cheaper.

First off, we totally missed the truck but was able to find it using gps. The truck is small and runs next to an RV Park. We ended up parking on the street and just walked to find it. The signs were helpful and the blue truck color made it stand out. We were greeted by a very friendly server and answered our questions. We have never had a Birria so we wanted to order one since the photos from the business owner looked good. I have to say that the photo and the meal served did not match. We felt a bit deceived, since it didn't look nearly as delicious as the photo. However, we were pleased to try the soft birria and shared one between me and my husband. It was good but not special. I guess u can't really expect mind-blowing from a simple food truck. Sad to say we were not able to take a photo. We were so hungry after driving for hours from Monument Valley- we were hangry. After eating 1 birria and 2 tacos, we ended up getting more food somewhere else. In as much as I would like to support small businesses, I think some work needs to be done. Modifying the menu to make it clearer or perhaps creating a menu with pictures to help. Bottom line? I would recommend it if you're craving for some tacos and Mexican food in the area since there really aren't that much to choose from.

Chris and this local homespun theatre and ice cream shop/rock and gem collection are a MUST SEE…read more Within 5 minutes of being there we made a new friend and felt as if we'd been acquainted for years. We came to Panguitch with a group of 15-20 friends and family who are all staying in the same rental for a week while we tour the parks. We were looking for a place to take the group for some ice cream and found out the Gem is a working theatre as well. It is the end of season, however, and my wife and I learned that we just happened to stop in on the last hours of the very last day so we wouldn't be able to bring the gang. So glad we stopped to check it out. So instead of bringing the crew over to the ice cream we ended up buying a bunch of the ice cream stock and bars and chocolates to bring home for the following evening's dessert. Last night we gathered for dessert after dinner and told them the story of this great place and even greater interaction. They were rapt with attention as we described the setting, the convo, and the taste testing of some very interesting and delectable treats. Ice cream flavors like "Blue Goggles, "Guava, Passionfruit, and even Tomarillo" were a hit- many explaining it was the best ice cream they've had. The chocolate-dipped ice cream bars really stood out. They come in both dark and light chocolate and are layered with caramel inside. The biggest surprise about them is that the outside is sprinkled with popped quinoa. Who knew? What a genius combination. SO GOOD!! They also make their own chocolates and those were all to die for. Wish I had this place and this guy a little closer to home in Chico, Ca but I guess we'll have to make a detour out this way once the season opens back up again and plan on taking in a movie and popcorn and then raid the ice cream again. Great job, Chris- it was nice to meet you.

We chose frozen treats, and they were indeed treats. This father-and-son team make the ice cream themselves, and the flavor choice, while limited, is quite original. I thoroughly enjoyed the passionfruit ice cream, which tasted like cream and real passionfruit because real fruit from their own vines are used, complete with seeds, which is my opinion is a bonus because I love crunching them. My companion got the gluten-free, dairy-free option, based on a popular Peruvian drink, coated in dark chocolate with crispy quinoa, and she was glad she'd gone for it. When we visited, the projector was down for the week, but perhaps when you go you can also catch a movie! Definitely add this place to your itinerary.

Friendly staff and plenty of tables to choose from in the 6pm hour of a June Saturday night. We…read moresat at a worn table in the back section and figured out what we wanted to order. I chose the Enchiladas Tricolor which was a good opportunity to try their mole, red and verde sauces on chicken, cheese & pork respectively. Comes with beans, rice & interestingly ... coleslaw. My husband chose the Burrito Asada but didn't want any pico de gallo. The waitress asked if he wanted the guacamole and the red sauce on the side to which he said "Sure". I think he's lucky the red sauce was on the side as he could only describe it as "weird, very strange, not good." I tried it and thought "thin vegetable soup ". The kitchen forgot to put the melted cheese on top so his burrito in the picture is very plain looking. He added the guacamole along with the beans and rice to each bite of the burrito and thought that added some flavor to it. The asada was just bland beef with no evidence of a marinade or spicing. My Tricolor Enchiladas plate had 3 enchiladas, beans, rice & coleslaw- & only half of those 6 items were tasty. I was intrigued by the coleslaw and liked it so I ate it all first. I ended up taking sone from my husband's plate to cleanse my palette after I finished eating my meal. It helped clear out the weird pork gravy taste that was the sole flavor of the chile verde. It was so different from other chile verdes I've eaten before. This one had no citrus notes that would normally come from having tomatillos in it. The pork did not improve my outlook. After my first bite I cut the enchilada open to see if the pork was fully cooked. It was pinkish but seemed cooked. It just had that partially raw pork flavor to it. The other 2 enchiladas were good (chicken with a slightly sweet mole sauce and the Classic Red with cheese). I think that same veggie tasting red sauce my husband encountered is their "Classic Red" sauce. The sour cream dollop on this enchilada kinda overtook the sauce so I didn't mind it - didn't miss tasting that sauce here. Sadly the last 2 components on my plate - beans & rice were really lacking. The beans seemed a bit salty but had little flavor despite that. The rice appeared to have no seasoning in it - very bland. Mixing the two together didn't improve either. Adding one of the 2 tasty salsas (red or green) that came to the table with the just slightly greasy chips did help the rice. I noticed a pool of oil/ grease accumulating behind the enchiladas (see picture). Not a good sign for flavor to me. The waitress said the restaurant has been around for 22 years and the booth we sat in showed it. My side of the booth seemed to raise me higher than normal above the table while my husband's side seated him at the proper height to the tabletop. My husband said his Strawberry Margarita was good and thought he could taste the tequila. I had a sip and wasn't sure if it was tequila or the triple sec in the background but thought it was a decent strawberry margarita as it was not overly sweet. I noticed the price on the menu $8.99 was not the price we were charged ($9.99) for his "house margarita ". All other pricing on our receipt matched the menu. Also on our receipt there was a Card Total and a lower Cash Total. We had already planned to pay cash. There's too many other Mexican restaurants in Cedar City to ever go back to La Casa DM.
