We had the Rainbow Trout Filet, which was pan-seared and served with celery root purée, celery, almond green beans, baby tendrils, sundried tomato, remoulade and lemon vinaigrette. It was beautifully prepared, fresh and full of flavor. The BBQ Rib Eye Pork Chop was incredible--so tender it practically melted in your mouth. It was pan-roasted with sage and a homemade BBQ glaze, accompanied by summer corn, pepper drops, caramelized onion and an apple chutney. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was fantastic. We also tried the corn chowder, which featured late-season corn, bacon and micro cilantro. It was a delicious way to start the meal, and the cocktails were definitely worth mentioning. The Mountain Spring cocktail was refreshing and perfectly suited to the beautiful mountain setting. The Sugar House Rum Prickly Pear cocktail was another favorite--such a fun, flavorful drink and a great complement to dinner. What really stood out was how much this restaurant feels like an experience rather than simply a place to eat. Sweetwater Kitchen embraces the area around it, with seasonal ingredients, locally sourced food and a relaxed ranch atmosphere. There's also a gift shop inside in the back room. We first stopped in for lunch ordered up a BLT and a cheeseburger, and the potato salad was fantastic. We did return for breakfast, which was pretty good again. Everything is homemade so that's always a huge plus. In addition they have homemade pies--famous in the area--are a must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. You're staying in town or in an Airbnb I highly recommend stopping in.

It was just up my alley with its cold crisp refreshing satisfying flavor. It was just what I needed after a long road trip. The nachos were fantastic! The portion definitely suggested sharing. The tortilla chips were crisp and the cheese was very good too. I loved that they put plenty of cheese. The brisket was tender and offered a subtle smoky flavor. The nachos came with tasty pickled jalapenos, diced tomatoes, and then garnished with a bit of green lettuce and a drizzle of sour cream. On the side came some salsa and guacamole. The beers and eats were great, and so was the hospitality. The young ladies were very welcoming and in good spirits. I liked that the bar manager took the time to go over the selections of adult beverages they offered. She also had a very good attitude. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot and street.
