Sky Nova is an awesome restaurant that is on the same grounds as the Clear Sky Resort. I can't say much for the food, but considering it's the only game in town, it's hard to complain because the building itself is awesome. If the food prices are too high for you, bring your own, but at least stop into Sky Nova and have a drink if you're in the area. One thing, be forewarned, they don't accept cash. read more

Had dinner and breakfast here with my wife. The dinner was very good, the staff sested us right away (we had reservations) and we had a great waitress. I had the braised beef, and it was very tender but very dry. Everything else was pretty good. As for breakfast we walked in and it took the staff about 7-10 minutes to seat us, they kept saying "be right with you", and there was hardly anyone in yhe restaurant, amybe four tables being served. When we finally got seated it was 18 minutes before they even brought us water, and another 10 minutes to take our meal order. The food was very good. I had the BBQ breakfast, and it was awesome. My wife enjoyed her meal also. The service really sucked and really ruined the whole resort experience. read more

This restaurant is part of a resort area with glass domes; it looks really nice but hotel rate is very expensive. The restaurant is upscale vibe so pricing is also more on the expensive side. Food is normal. The pasta you can taste the truffle clearly but it is not salty enough. The duck and chips and onion dip are normal. I really like the panna cotta. If you don't live in the domes, you can only do walk in and they get pretty booked during meal times. There isn't a lot of options in the area so I'd recommend if you want something different than just normal steak/burger/etc. read more

We actually stayed at Kodachrome State Park but rode our e-bikes there after seeing pics. 12 miles one way ( but e-bikes so duh) but scenic and fun. This place was a great break in our RV trip. Fun, great views, gorgeous, met neat people at the bar and a good bartender. Food was delicious and although some staff seemed VERY new ( hostess unsure how to seat people and unaware how long the business had been there), a fun night. It was 23 minutes from the time we sat down at the table to the time we paid our check and left. No joke. We placed our order and 90 seconds later our appetizer salad was on the table. I guess compared to others whose reviews stated it took too long to receive their food, we should consider ourselves lucky (?). But we weren't even halfway through the salad when our entrees were delivered. Then we were halfway through our entrees when we were asked if we'd like dessert. Nope thanks. Bing bang boom, 23 minutes. Salad was soggy, like it had been sitting in the dressing for a while, not freshly tossed. Short rib ($39) and accompanying polenta were very dry (heat lamp much?). Pappardelle ($32) was just ok. This place SHOULD be amazing. For folks staying in the domes it's a no-brainer, and outsiders are intrigued by the fun vibe. But for one sad salad, 2 just-ok entrees, 2 sodas, no alcohol and no dessert, the total tab was $90 not including tip. And the full dining experience was less than 30 minutes. Don't waste your time. If you want to experience the dome, grab a drink at the bar. Then take a 10 minute drive up the road to Stone Hearth Grille for an amazing meal. Fire pits going outside, warm and cozy on the inside. 2- come with an expectation that food and service will be slightly above Applebees. We waited for about 12 minutes for our drinks. Just not a great experience overall. Started with waiting too long to even be acknowledged after walking in. We just kind of stood there expecting to be greeted and hopefully sat, but no one. When the host finally did arrive, he asked if we had a reservation. We explained that we tried to book one online but their system kept giving an error. We called and the person we spoke to said no reservations needed, just come on. The host kind of acted like he didn't believe us, and that they were fully booked, but there were plenty of empty tables. During our entire dinner, there were no less than 5-6 empty tables. Our server seemed nice, but wasn't overly friendly or outgoing. The ladies ordered wine and were brought plastic cups to drink from. The server stated they did not have any clean wine glasses. Another person in our party waited 15 minutes to get a beer from the bar and we clearly saw it sitting at the bar waiting to be delivered for over half that time. At this point, based on the price point of the menu, we really expected better and actually thought about cutting our losses and leaving. We probably should have as the food was just ok. (The menu has changed since the last photos posted.) My steak was ordered medium and came out well done. It came with truffle fries, which I asked to be plain, but that didn't happen. Our server offered us a complimentary dessert, which we thought was nice, but I will tell you if I had paid the $16 for that dessert, I would have been highly disappointed. We chose the s'more, which consisted of three tiny brownie cakes, a few melted marshmallows and a graham cracker broken up over the top. The one positive is the ambience. We had a fantastic dinner with a large party here. At first, we were hesitant about sitting outside, but the atmosphere and temperature were absolutely perfect--it made for a great experience. Our waitress was phenomenal: attentive, friendly, and really made us feel taken care of. Several of us ordered the steak, and it was outstanding--cooked perfectly, generous in portion, and worth every bite. We wrapped things up with dessert, which was just as impressive. The place is giving out free desserts to make half of the diners somewhat content with their exorbitant expense. Our server did his best to try and make things right. But there is only so much one man can do. Moreover, we got free desserts before we even got there because there were children's underwear left right in the middle of our very expensive dome upon walking in. We stayed onsite in the domes for 3 nights. We enjoyed a few meals at SkyNova. Breakfast was good! The coffee was fabulous and the servers are so friendly. For dinner we shared the sliders and trout. The ambiance is cool and futuristic. The chairs have a cool look but are extremely heavy to move in and out. The friendly faces at the bar brought us back. This place was hands down the best food we had on our trip. Not to mention the atmosphere was out of this world. My wife had a pasta dish that was on the specials menu. And I ordered the half rack of ribs. and both were delicious. The portions were large and the service was outstanding considering they have been open only for three weeks. Our server was Callie and she was friendly and helpful when we asked about the menu. We complimented her and the staff on how well they were doing, and she brought over the manager so we can speak with him personally. He was very friendly and explain to us. He was operating on a kitchen that was not fully opened and had to improvise with what he had. The food came out fast and you would've never known there was a power outage earlier that evening. The drinks were a little pricey, but totally worth the ambience. I would highly recommend sky nova it's not just a restaurant, but it's an experience. read more

Don't eat here. This place is marketed and priced as fine dining when it's barely a step up from a Burger King. Not only is the restaurant filthy, but when I asked my waiter if the truffle fries were gluten free, he said "I asked chat gbt and it said it's fine." I'm not joking. When I asked, "and what does the chef say?" He replied "I can ask another ai for you." I was insistent. When he finally asked the chef, they 100% had gluten in them. The $60 steak was inedible. Cold, overdone on the outside, raw on the inside. Bland and tasteless. The $22 drink with the signature bubbles you see on TikTok came not as marketed/pictured with no big bubbles. I've never asked to have a meal comped before, but I had to because I literally couldn't eat any of it. My partner's meal was gross too, but they didn't want to cause any more issues by complaining. Still paid $80 for my partners gross meal, the drink, and tip (the waiter made me do the tip while making eye contact with me and I didnt have the guts to tip low, despite the chat got fiasco). Don't come here. It's dirty, the staff knows nothing, and the food is inedible but priced as fine dining. read more

Delish! Only minutes from town, we were staying on property at Clear Sky so had the opportunity to eat several meals at Sky Nova. The menu selections are quite varied which was great for our group - already a week since we were there, but I'm still remembering the taste of the sauces in the beef dish, the glazed salmon, the burgers, and the delicious dish from South America (can't remember the name but it was so original!). The vibe at night, eating under the dome is really special - the musician was incredible (Grammy nominated !) and added so much to the experience. In the morning, we enjoyed the coffees and breakfast options for heading out for hiking. The food, the ambience were unique and I highly recommend if you are in the area or can make a special trip to this beautiful spot. read more

Great concept but they are lacking in a few areas. We were asked multiple times about reservations even though they take walk ins and were completely empty. Once we were finally sat it took about 15-20 minutes to get drink and dinner orders. Once the food came out, we noticed all 6 of our meals were cold. We were starving and didn't want to wait another hour for new food so we ate it. My steak that I asked for medium was cooked well done. Everyone said the flavor was ok but very salty. The waiter did not come by often and water glasses were left empty multiple times. The beers that were ordered even lost their head and looked like it was short poured by the time they got to the table. To the waiters credit, it looked like they were spread thin and seemed like he was taking care of all of the tables by himself. He was made aware of the food situation. We were excited to try this as it looked like a very cool experience. We got there at 645pm And were told because we didn't have reservations we would have to sit inside which was no problem. It took at least 15-20 min for our server to take our orders. then we waited for a very long time to get our food. When it did arrive it was all cold and overcooked. Never saw the server to let him know. we were very hungry and we chose to eat out cold overcooked food. If I were rating the domes, location, creative idea behind this place it would be 5 stars. There are so few accommodations around here that are interesting that this place really stands out, despite the price. The bar/restaurant gets the 1 star. The staff seemed disengaged from the customers, almost bored with it all, which mirrors other patrons experiences with not being acknowledge by staff. I ordered the chicken skewers at the bar and was served small ground chicken patties, skewered, covered in some sort of store bought BBQ sauce. Something that works as a food truck snack, not an $18 appetizer at an upscale restaurant. Then I tried the NY strip and asked for it medium rare. I got a tough well done steak with cold fries. Asked for a new steak and got a rubbery blue steak with soggy fries. Told the manager I'd pay for everything, including the bottle of wine, but was done with the kitchen and wouldn't pay for the steak. They took that off the bill at least. This was day 1 of 5 here. Thankfully I found a few good places in town that look promising. The one upside is the ambience is very cool, though the chairs are way too heavy. read more

I loved Sky Nova. The decor has a futuristic vibe which was so cool in the desert--definitely felt like we were space traveling. The bar was super fun and the bartenders made great drinks. Breakfast was great and most importantly I had one of the best lattes ever--probably the best espresso drinks in the area. The dinner menu was also great. I loved everything I had--shocked that I was able to get a great salad frankly. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Also, the servers were so so nice, as was the whole staff. We had the steaks. They were tender, flavorful, and cooked to the proper temperature. Breakfast entrees were all excellent! The futuristic bar and dome, views and outdoor fire pits made for an amazing atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but our servers explained they are still in their soft opening and asked for a little grace while they worked out the kinks.
