Daily Special - Brat on a Pretzel Bun and Potato Salad, with beer cheese sauce
Guy D.

We stopped in here at the suggestion from some people we met hiking the Figure 8 loop at Bryce Canyon. Long hard 7 mile day meant, time to carb up and cure the hanger! This place is a hotel and restaurant and looked very clean, with a pool and hot tub. The restaurant was very spacious with high booths for privacy. Our server was busy prepping food for the upcoming dinner rush, and we were ahead of the crowds at 4pm ish. We ate glad we arrived when we did, boy did it get packed with hungry hikers quick! We opted for the Chicken Fried Steak meal and the Daily Special of Brats and Potato Salad. Both were very good, the only issue was the potato salad being very vinegar heavy. It did have that German feel to it though, so not the worst by far.

Good food! We got the open face turkey which was awesome and the western burger. For dessert the lava cake with ice cream. Great place after a day of hiking.

Hot open-faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy

The Pines holds a special place in my heart but I hate to say the quality goes down every time I re-visit. If you're craving a reliable sandwich, hot soup, or pie à la mode, this is your spot in Bryce. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu stands out and prices are quite steep for what you get. I understand that the servers don't feel the need to cater to tourists they'll never see again, but I was not especially impressed. It's a homey, Americana restaurant but I don't feel that same atmosphere from the people who work there. This doesn't mean I won't be back, like I said, this is a special place and my hopes remain high every time I return!

So glad we saw this place on our way to Bryce Canyon National Park. Located very close to the park, they were busy at the time we got there but the service was fast. The tomato bisque was good, my western burger was great - highly recommended, and the chicken blt salad was also good. Server, Hallie, was super efficient and sweet. She was the only server and another lady who is probably the manager, but Hallie was fast, attentive, and sweet. I would highly recommend this place if you visit Bryce Canyon!

A marvelous stop leaving or entering Bryce! A wooden interior with a good menu of dishes. Beer is available. No draft, though Lots of parking.

We drove in to the Bryce Canyon pines campground and were told about the restaurant just a quarter mile away. The restaurant is new with a rustic feel to it... very nice. I ordered a trout and my husband a rib eye. Sides we chose was a baked potato and asparagus. Very good! Nice thick bacon with the potatoes. The trout was delicious! The ribeye a decent size. Very happy with our meal and choice of restaurant.

The food here is dynamite! We had the chili, a burger, hot roast beef sandwhich, and jalapeño poppers. All were delicious! Service is quick and it's really quaint on the inside. I'd also recommend it as it's out of town a bit so you won't be battling the big crowds near the park.

This restaurant really does a good job at treating their customers right. They are worthy of their rating on yelp. The food was pretty good, and they have a really nice restaurant. They have really nice decor throughout, and it really seems like a cozy place. They took us in at the last minute, even though there were almost 20 of us, but they treated as well. I recommend this place.

Open face turkey sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy, fried green beans, kids cheese burger, sweet potato fries
Anna Y.

They had a really good open face turkey sandwich! Turkey was juicy and well seasoned. The kids cheeseburger was huge and actually too much for my 2 yo - not a bad thing. The fries green beans was probably one of the best I've had. The integrity of the green bean was still there, just covered in a perfect batter. The waffle Sweet potato fries was a better than the regular fries. We got there at 2 pm so it was quite slow and had great service. Would recommend for anyone who's headed to and from Bryce Canyon.

Apple pie a la mode
Mira S.

There are slim pickings for decent food right outside Bruce Canyon, and this seems like the best. We liked the burgers and steak, and the munchers appetizer. The fries are unmemorable but fine. My friend got the apple pie a la mode and enjoyed it. Nice beer selection although they serve cans so they're insanely overpriced. The staff are friendly and pretty attentive although there's no rush at all. It has a comfortable diner feel.

I had the trout which was melt in your mouth delicious and my husband loved the ribs. The vibe was so cool and Matthew strummed the guitar and sang beautifully throughout the meal. We missed the live music since we arrived so early to snag a seat (place fills quickly!) FOOD: Popcorn provided as a snack-- yum! We ordered the steak and ribs, which were both good. The steak was simply seasoned but cooked medium rare as requested and tender. The ribs were tender (not quite fall-off-the-bone but easy to eat) and the barbecue sauce was tasty with a bit of a kick. We could each choose two sides, so we chose soup (red pepper and Gouda, like a tasty spin on tomato soup) and loaded baked potato (well done!) for the steak, and mashed potatoes (served broccoli instead, but it's fine) and onion rings (tasty & crispy). Condiments including ketchup, A1 sauce and mayonnaise were all on the table for easy access. SERVICE: Very nice and attentive. OVERALL: Very good choice among the relatively limited options nearby. Seats do fill up quickly. We missed the live music but were seated with the first seating without a wait, so we were content.

"Lonesome Cowboy Bill Rides the rodeo and bucking broncs…read more And all the ten-gallon girls Love to hear him yodel " (The Velvet Underground) Ebenezer's Dinner and Show in Bryce Canyon was our host for an evening of great cowboy food and old-fashioned western fun and music. There's not a lot to do in tiny Bryce Canyon City, Utah. But I think its safe to say that the town's most popular attraction is the dinner show and combo at Ebenezer's. Our experience started off some live pre-dinner entertainment before the dining room was called row-by-row to hit the chow line. Dinners included steak, chicken, salmon, or BBQ (Pulled pork and chicken). After your entrée was plated, you go down the buffet line for beans, mashed potatoes, veggies, cole slaw, and a dessert. I had the BBQ plate of chicken and pulled pork and enjoyed it a lot. Live music was provided by the Bryce Canyon Wranglers that fielded a rotating lineup of keyboards, guitar, bass, male lead vocals, pedal steel guitar, female vocalist, fiddle, and harmonica. These are some serious songwriters and musicians who have collaborated with the Bellamy Brothers, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Maddie and Tae. Some have appeared on Broadway and television. They entertained us with songs by country music royalty! Hank Williams Marty Robbins , Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Arlo Guthrie , Glen Campbell , Ronnie Milsap, Johnny cash, Dolly Parton, Kenny Roger's, and George Strait were all represented. It was a night of good clean family entertainment and comfort food.

The ribs come with one trip to the salad bar, a big baked potato (not the tiny ones so common in restaurants these days), and a few spears of asparagus. The ribs were meaty with plenty of sauce. It was a good dinner. The buffet has two sections for salad. One didn't have any carrots or beets or other toppings that I wanted for my salad like the other section did, so check out what is in the salad bar before you get in line. There was a lady waiting to refill the mixed green/lettuce, and I offered to let her do it but she wanted to wait until after me even though there were others also waiting.
