    Rib-eye with baked potato

Our waiter was awesome and the food was so good; generous cuts of meats. The pics don't do it justice but the baked potato wise ginormous!

If you're near Bryce Canyon and looking for a place to eat dinner , the Outlaw Saloon is a decent option -- especially since there aren't many places around this part of town. It's about a 25-minute drive out, so not super close. When we got there, I hesitated walking in at first because of a sign saying it's a bar, so I had to double-check we were in the right spot. Turns out, they do serve food, but since it's a bar, no one under 21 is allowed--just a heads up if you're traveling with kids. The menu has local meats from Kanab, and I went with the half rack of ribs. The fries came with a salad where you can add your own toppings -- huge portion and pretty tasty. The ribs were super tender and fell right off the bone. The fries were crispy, which was nice. My husband got the 12 oz ribeye with potatoes, and he got to add his own toppings too. The garlic roll was kinda meh--nothing special. The beer on tap was cold and refreshing, but my Pepsi was flat. Overall, it was a good meal with friendly service. If im ever in the area I would visit again . One thing that stood out to me was the worn out carpet tiles . The place is pretty big, and the tables were placed along the sides ( due to it being a bar first , I guess they need all the open space) -- a new floor update would make it feel much more inviting! If you're in the area and craving steak and ribs , it's worth a visit. :)

I was really excited to have a solid steak after a day of adventuring. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very attentive and the whole experience felt a bit chaotic. The atmosphere was okay, but it could have been better with friendlier staff. The salad bar was underwhelming. With so few options it didn't seem necessary to have a salad bar at all. I was hoping the restaurant would redeem itself with the steak, but I was actually super disappointed in the meal all together. The best thing I ate at The Outlaw Saloon was their baked potato.

This place was highly recommended to us during our vacation and we just knew we had to give it a shot. We started off with the Fried Pickles and the Pretzel Bites. The Fried Pickles were amazing. The batter on them remained crispy and crunchy even halfway through our entrees. It was paired with this creamy horseradish-y sauce, and it worked so well. The pretzel was a bit on the saltier side for my liking but my fiance and his dad loved them! We all ordered steaks for dinner, because that's what they specialize in. They even have a grill for you to cook your own steak on!! Unfortunately it was broken when we dined in, but honestly i'm glad because I cannot cook for the life of me haha. The steaks were all cooked to our liking and tasted amazing. I also wanted to point out our amazing server Gabby. She was so sweet and truly made our experience 100x better. Definitely make sure to ask for her next time you go!

Great service at the Outlaw. Ribeye steaks were good although we expected them to be a little more tender coming from a butcher. The pretzel bites were perfect for us. Some were soft, which my husband prefers and some were crunchy which I prefer. The salad fixings bar is a nice touch. We liked being able to customize our salads. Overall we recommend the Outlaw.

    You can grill your steak

3 1/2 stars We picked that place because it was the only one in town offering alcoholic beverages. Inside it's huge with very few tables, a couple pool tables and an area where you can grill your steak. Decent selection of beers and limited menu heavy on meat. But if you are a vegetarian order a baked potato, like my friend did, this spud is giant. They also have a veggie burger. I got the half rack of ribs tasty and also quite big. They only had one waiter and he was very busy. But it seems like you have to be patient wherever you go these days. You have to be 21 to enter the restaurant, so not an option if you have kids.

3.5 stars After spending the day at Bryce National Park, The Outlaw Saloon filled our appetites. We ordered a couple ribeyes that we grilled ourselves. There's a variety of seasonings to choose from but I kept it simple with salt and pepper. This a fun feature but if you aren't interested in cooking yourself it can come prepared for an extra charge. The ribeyes hit the spot but our steaks had a lot gristly parts. I highly recommend paying a bit extra and getting the baked potato loaded. The steak dinner comes with a baked potato, side salad, and garlic roll. Garlic roll was a pleasant surprise. It tasted like a light garlic cloud. Make sure to wash your meal down with a local beer! Our server was pretty busy as it was the first day back open but she still did an excellent job checking in on us. Check this place out if you are heading to Zion from Bryce and need a refuel.

We arrived about 6 and waited about 20 minutes for a very nice booth. We split a pretty good-sized house salad. It was fine. I had the trout with asparagus and sweet potato fries. Fish (lemon pepper and salt) was tasty and perfectly prepared. Asparagus was also perfectly cooked, still a bit of crunch. The fries were too limp but tasted good. My hubs ordered the ribeye. Looked so juicy and charred but was a bit tough. Flavor was great and it was a gigantic 16-oz. portion. Coffee was tasteless, unfortunately. The absolute highlight of the meal was the pie! The apple pie is the best I have ever eaten. The filling contained nice slices of apples, no mushy stuff here. And the crust was incredibly flaky with a bit of sugar baked on top. My husband ordered the cherry pie à la mode and was quite pleased with the pie and two little scoops of ice cream alongside. Nice staff too! This place is popular for a reason. It HAS to be that incredible pie.

Unless you are a Local - This is Home Run or Strike Out…read more We are staying in the area, looking for a place for dinner, and had been consistently joining Aunt Sue's Chalet (Awesome small Cafe/Diner near by). Then Pine Wood opened on Thursday night so we tried something different. We didnt have reservations, but bounced in around 7pm and got a table. Ordered a few drinks and then checked out menu. Oh My - Servers, Food, atmosphere was so amazing, we changed our next night dinner plans to to return. We enjoyed Pork Chop, Caesar Salad, and their Salmon was amazing. Nice piece of Salmon, incredible mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggie. Worn out from hiking, everyone had a great food and we were back to our Airbnb in 75 mins. This was a peaceful relaxing home run! Then came our second night. We made reservations based on our server / front manager recommendation. We arrived 10 mins early and they had our table - from there it was literally chaos and disaster. it was like we had a tent around us. It took over 15 mins to get/order a drink, then 15 mins before returning w drinks and taking our appetizer or dinner order. Then we waited, waited, waited. After almost 2 hrs, they came by offered us a round of drinks, and said they were out of Salmon (4 of 5 of us requested Salmon). Instead offering Cod. We thought sure. We were still patient. 45 mins later we got small hard poorly fried cod and 6 little hash browns (both very frozen). It was absolutely horrible. We asked and they said that is all they could do. 3 hr total effort for a $24 (salmon price) cod fried kids meal. Often you understand this, but it was obvious they didnt care about us. They were still serving Salmon to other tables (best friends / locals) that came and left. They told us 10 times they had new staff, but the new young waitresses were running everywhere and trying so hard. Note the new young staff were rock stars trying to keep things together. But it was just the vibe - our server didnt care we were there and made it clear. Told the table there were tables waiting on her - but she didnt care. So - I really do hope this place makes it for the local's benefit, but if you are visiting, be prepared that it is very much a work in progress and you never know what you are going to get. Sad to say the lack of care from our server - left us hating it. Best Wishes.

A delightful encounter in Kanab, the small town along the way on our road trip to Salt Lake City. A…read morewonderful meal. Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

Actually, nice and comfortable. - Menu: Not big, but with interesting choices in each category. - Food: Excellent. We started the meal by sharing a Caprese Salad ($15). Large and tasty. My entree was one of the night's specials...Vegetable Curry ($22). Big bowl of fresh diced vegetables with a moderately spicy sauce. A fine dish. My wife chose the other special of the day...Chicken Marsala ($25) on a bed of mashed potatoes. It's one of her favorite's and she said "it was as good as any I've had". For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Mousse ($12). We could have had 3 more. For drinks, I had a Belgian Blond beer ($10) while my wife had a glass of French Chardonnay ($16). Both did the job. - Service: AMAZING describes our server, Wendy. She was the only person taking care of a roomful of customers. I counted 30 with more coming in.
