We arrived at this bar and restaurant as part of the Harvest Host program while passing through Richfield Utah on our RV trip. We went into the bar and restaurant and were greeted by the hostess who asked for out IDs so she could scan them. (They scan everyone's ID, so be sure to have it with you when you go into the establishment. There is a large selection of draft beers. The menu is pretty large with everything from sandwiches to pizza and tacos. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and some carne asada tacos. The tacos were amazing and their pico de gallo was very tasty. The pizza was a good size for the price. This place is great. The food is tasty l, the beer is cold, and the seats are comfortable. Most important of all, the prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. This is a must visit for my return trip to Richfield. read more

Bar 86 is a nice watering hole in an alcohol free desert known as central Utah. Primarily looking for a place to eat we stopped by on our trip from the Red Rock country of Southern I Utah to Salt Lake City. The bar is a bit off the I-70 freeway, but not too far. It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. Not a bad place for a rest stop or a reasonable local hang out as well with some decent food. read more

I've been twice now- both times ended up here for an overnight stay in Richfield. It's a dive bar but super clean and spacious. Simple food menu, basic beers and cocktails. The cheesesteak was alright. It was nothing to complain about or write home about. The jojo fries were kinda undercooked but good and seemed homemade almost. Attentive service, not overbearing. A lot of locals since Richfield isn't exactly a destination but you'll get the same treatment and be just as welcome. read more

Ba 86 was a really cool place to go eat. If you're in Richfield, this would be one of my top recommendations. This is a bar so you do have to have ID and be over the age of 21 to eat here. Their french fries were amazing. I absolutely loved the seasoning that they had. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was fantastic except for the bread. Upon pulling up to the bar, I noticed it was in a standalone building with not much surrounding it. Upon entrance, it looks like a good time! There are lots of pool tables. There are many different areas for sitting. The twinkle lights and decor just pull it together to make it seem like a true gem in the middle of Richfield, Utah. I found out that they also do theme nights like bingo and karaoke, which makes things fun! My husband and I were promptly greeted by Jed, who was amazing! Fun guy who has a great conversation to have. Upon scoping out the menu we realize that there was also a late night menu that goes on Friday and Saturday nights from nine to midnight we were super intrigued by this as they had some pretty interesting options my husband and I proceeded to have a chicken, bacon, ranch pizza, and some loaded tots, which were all great! The homemade ranch is also VERY good! After eating, we went back to our hotel for a little bit to shower and change after a long day it was time to go back for that late night menu! We had the deep fried uncrustables which were amazing with the side of Nutella dipping sauce. I don't know if we will ever come back to Richfield, Utah, but I tell you what! This was actually my second visit to this bar. The first time was a few years ago. Says a lot that I came back. I was greeted at the door being asked for an ID, the bartender said, "welcome to Utah, where we card everyone." :) I sat at the bar and had a great Utah beer (a Bock). Great dive bar with excellent food and service. Don't be fooled by the outside. Situated on a back road in a dusty industrial area you will find this place. Upon entry the is a large space with a huge bar seating plus many high tops. Music playing. Friendly bartenders and waitstaff. Lots if locals. Aha. We had the fish tacos. Nicely cooked with fresh toppings. Very good. We were hungry and this was the only place open on Sunday so we were very happy that the food, atmosphere and service were very good. The food is also spectacular and the vibe of Bar 86 gets my 4 stars how ever it would of been 5 stars if one of the pool tables were open for for locals and anyone that was not on the league. This place doesn't need to be as good as it is, seeing as Bar 86 is pretty much the only straightforward "bar" in a predominantly Mormon town. That said, this well-run establishment IS excellent! All the drinks arrived promptly and staff were most attentive. The food available here is really top-notch. If we were to recommend one thing it would probably be the Pastrami Burger, which was sublimely delicious, served with excellent fries. That said, everything we ordered was good. One bonus for us was the complete lack of children or juveniles: Bar 86 is 21+ only, and this is strictly enforced, with everyone being carded. This creates a relaxed, relatively peaceful, adult zone of enjoyment and camaraderie. read more

Hubby & I finally got a chance to come to the bar together alone and we've been here over two years! We came at a very quiet time, Sunday afternoon.. which was perfect, we played pool, put on some juke box songs, and had some delicious food. Service was great, our server was Night? Right when we walked in it was a really friendly environment casual pool table couple dogs hanging around in a bar full of locals. We were greeted by Ray she was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Although it's not on the drink menu we went with the house margarita at $5.50 it's quite the bargain. It was rimmed with a delicious jalapeño infused salt which made it a bit spicy but not overwhelming. The funniest thing was the trashcan nachos they come out in a coffee can and they pulled a coffee can up and Wala there you have your nachos. They were really good different a big pile of yummy nachos with beef guacamole sour cream and lots of jalapeños which was awesome. Passing through on a Sunday night we just finished 600 miles from San Diego and need a refresh. State liquor stores are closed Sunday but the 86 bar is not. Authentic home town bar. Ray was our servicer and we went with her suggestions of the house special margarita as well as the beef nachos (small size). Ray gave great service with a smile. Drinks had a spicy jalapeño salt combo on the rim, amazing. Did not taste much alcohol over the flavor but felt it by the time i finished. . Nachos were served vertically in a can and then released onto the plate. This potion was more than enough for two. Great social atmosphere, with pool tables and lots of TV's. This was the perfect stop as we passed through the area traveling from southern Utah to the north. Clean, mostly quiet on a Sunday afternoon (before football) and was filled with friendly locals. The food was delicious, came out quickly and the staff and the service was wonderful. Saw a few dogs so they are dog friendly, which is awesome if you are traveling with your furry friend!
