This place was amazing! Visited on a Friday morning, they had live music and very good food! We had a group of 9 and everyone was happy with their food: the cowboy plates, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls and cherry pie. Prices and service can't be beat.

Cowboy Corral is like stepping into a parallel universe where breakfast comes with a live country soundtrack and nothing costs more than your pocket change. The food isn't fancy, but it's solid, homemade, and arrives like it means business. You're not here for microgreens--you're here for the kind of meal that sticks to your ribs and your soul. A local band was full-on performing during breakfast, and no one blinked. Just a normal day at the Corral, apparently. The cowboy poet intermissions were a highlight. And yes, there's a thrift store in the basement. Because why wouldn't there be? It's weird, it's warm, it's wonderful. You'll leave full, a little confused, and probably carrying a ceramic rooster you didn't mean to buy.

This was a memorable visit! The Cowboy Corral is not just a restaurant, but it's where the locals (and out of towners alike) enjoy some live music. The day I visited there was a man singing and whistling tunes in the back-all the great hits that frequent the oldies station or that my grandpa used to sing. After we placed our order, the server told us that we could go check out the gift shop downstairs while we waited for our food. Of course, my wife and I wanted to get the full experience, so we headed down. We were the first people down there for the day, so we stumbled around in the dark looking for the light switches. Looking back, this is how some horror movies start, but we were gullible and went anyway. The gift shop is really just a collection of things you might find at a thrift store. Dusty dishes, clothing that people probably donated, and knick-knacks galore. It was fun to browse and get a chuckle, but there wasn't anything we felt the urge to purchase. Back upstairs, our breakfast was simple, but tasty. You can watch as the staff prepares the food behind the counter. The whole place is a step back in time several decades. A statement I make with a bit of happy nostalgia, but also a dose of uncomfortable acknowledgement of some of the décor that is not quite appropriate in today's world. (I'm looking at the "cowboys and Indians" table as well as the poem dedicated to the "hangman's tree" with nooses adorning the margins.) Sure, I'd imagine the locals will argue that it was another time and that I'm being too sensitive, but it's something I noticed.

We started with a bowl of fresh fruit. Nothing canned here... all meals made to order by nice people.

This place is the definition of "Down Home!" Fresh ingredients for every bite, dish and order. Real people who are incredibly kind. After soaking in Mystic Hot Springs and spending our night in a transformed bus, someone recommended the Cowboy Corral for breakfast and I'm so glad they did! Just missed the live music that goes till 11am. Got the recipe for the homemade best chocolate cream pie I've EVER TASTED! We learned that the original owner is 95 and occasionally still comes in to help out! What a beautiful, heart warming slice of Americana!

Come here!! This is the cutest place with a very hospitable staff and owners. They were so gracious and gave us a bag of apples from their orchard. The food was incredible! Fresh and prepared with love. Loved the homey ambiance and the history the owners were kind enough to share with us. Travelers, this is a must!

My son and I are on a road trip. This was by far the highlight of our day! Glen showed us the place and shared the rich history of the building. We will always stop here when passing through. It's worth going out of your way to experience. Small town hospitality at its finest. Food was awesome! Desert was excellent!

Great little diner. Lots of locals chatting each other up and helping themselves to the coffee pot. Arlene is still manning the grill, whipping up a mean breakfast.

Our favorite gem in all the west Founded by Jim & Arlene in 1992! Jim has passed on but Arlene keeps the ship a float with the classic menu in her charming piece of history. You don't want to miss this experience! Treat her well and have respect.

Since they are a franchise they are not identical, and each one seems to play off the local identity and try to have decor that aligns with the area as well as the bear themed stuff. They have a small gift area, not overwhelming but a few branded items and typical touristy stuff. It's cute and seems to be well made stuff. Food - Oh yea, there's food! They have a really extensive menu and breakfast is served all day. My only regret is I love tri-tip and they have it on the menu but each time I was at a Black Bear they had run out. Admittedly we had arrived very late and I'll assume it's both good and popular since all three had run out. It's worth noting that for breakfast, they have real link sausage as well as other options and the sausage is nothing that grocery store skinless junk most places serve today. I was glad to see they had good quality thick bacon as well as several sausage choices for breakfast.

Kelsey you were the first smile I received back in January & missed you on my way back this trip. When we pulled in yesterday Ali & Dan were on the roof installing this awesomely & artfully designed "Ace's Place" sign. We proceeded to have a fabulous dinner before heading off to the priceless Red Hill Hot Springs up the street. Our bodies fell into a sweet slumber in comfy bed at the adjacent sweet & historic Monroe Inn! Owner Ali remembered I wasn't fond of lights at night & unplugged the ones in backyard. For breakfast, oh my the crowning touch was Ali's resourcefulness to squeeze us fresh OJ because they had run out. The waffles and perfectly cooked bacon hit the spot. Dan is the man who seems to excel at everything including cooking! I wish these hard working folks all the best because they really care. Till next time thank you for an exceptional experience!

Huzzah! This is an adorable little restaurant that I suspect to be family run. It's decorated so cute and the staff is friendly-just like we were eating dinner in their home. Sometimes small town places don't have the best food, but this was an exception. I had a grilled chicken salad that rivals some other salads I've had had fancy restaurants. Truly, it was delicious. Give this new place a try! I saw that they do breakfast as well, so I'll be sure to stop by again earlier when I'm in town again.

We ordered a medium Hang'em High pizza with Canadian bacon, sausage and pepperoni and it was exceptional. The Tucson tamale was packed with flavor and tasted homemade.
