This might be my new favorite pizza spot. Walk into nice casual space and grabbed a table. I was told I can order at the counter when I am ready. We first got some corn empanadas to start us off which were so good with little bit of jam. For pizza I couldn't make up my mind between the Westbrook and the Norman, until they told me I could do half of each which was awesome. Crust came out perfect. The pizza was perfect. I wish my pizza oven made pizza like this. PS. I love they actually gave me a slight discount for removing the meat from my pizza, being vegetarian that's never the case read more

Absolutely fantastic staff and the pizza was amazing! If we are ever back in town we will definitely be back! As soon as entered we were helped with the menu and how to order. We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni with meatballs chopped up and the pepperoni. It didn't even take more than 10 minutes to cook. They also will bring you a pitcher of water to the table while you wait. They also have canned soda. And other beverages at the front you can order. The ingredients were so fresh and had so much flavor. The pizza was cooked perfectly. It has some inside and outside seating. read more

Really superb pizza here. The wait wasn't too long and you get to see your pizza fired in the oven in front of you. They had plenty of options, but only sell by the pie. I originally thought this would mean that I would need to get a to-go box, but the pizza ended up being easily consumed in one sitting. The pizza wasn't exactly thin, but surprisingly it was very light and "airy". Eating it didn't make you feel heavy, and I was easily able to consume the entire pizza and still have room for dessert. We had a great weekend lunch here. The staff was friendly, and my daughter had fun watching the pizzas be prepared and put in the oven while we waited for our meal. I definitely preferred the pizza over the empanadas; I'm used to more of a flaky crust on the empanadas. That said, the pizzas were all hits. The pepperoni is very classic and gets perfectly crispy while cooked. The Penelope is a flavorful smoky/ meaty combo on top of the pesto. We got the Martha due to a kitchen mix up, and it was a happy accident for us. The pizza has a great mix of flavors and textures. read more

We got takeout here, so I can't speak much to the service or ambiance, but we did love the pizzas. Since we were ordering for a large group, I got to try several of their unique pies, and there wasn't a single miss in the bunch. My favorites were the green monster (pesto and roasted zucchini) and the bambino (hot honey marina and meatballs). We also tried both types of empanadas. The pork ones were good - generally stuffed and meaty - but a bit one note. Our group preferred the cauliflower ones, which featured more complexity of flavor and texture. read more

This was one of my favorite meals that we had while visiting family in North Carolina! The pizza was so delicious, but my favorite part of the meal was actually the salad! My husband and I shared The Little C (TLC) Salad, which was listed as a serving for 1-2 people. It was a Romaine/Tuscan Kale Blend, had Tajin Bread Crumbs, amazing Peruvian Peppers that I was obsessed with , Parmesan, and Miso Caesar Dressing. It was the perfect size to share and we paired it with the Pretty in Pepperoni Pizza. So good!!! We also really liked the relaxed service style of this restaurant. You walked up to a counter to order and they brought the food to you, but they also brought us a pitcher of water and cups. It was amazing service and amazing food. I came here with a bunch of friends and Timber had just recently opened. I like the way it looks inside as it's cozy and bright. They have alcohol such as wine and beer. I like that the menu tells you what's in the pizza, including the meat. So I ordered the bambino because it had beef meatballs and almost no pizza place uses beef meatballs. I really enjoyed the chew of the dough and the flavors. However, even with a spicy sauce on it, it wasn't spicy, so I needed to add pepper flakes. The flakes are on the table along with Parm cheese in a shaker. When I added the pepper, the pizza was better to me. The bathroom was cleaned when I went in. They had the relevant sports game on the TV when we came in. The staff pushed tables together to accommodate our group and that was nice. We got one number flag for our table and that is better than everyone having their own. Everyone enjoyed their pizza and time there. I had leftovers and put them in a regular takeout box, but it would be nice to have half pizza boxes in the future maybe for taking your leftovers. read more

Picked up a couple of to-go pizzas here and re-warmed using their instructions. The Bentley was our favorite. The little peppers bring a little spice and the crust is delicious. I loved the crunchy kale on the green machine and it was really tasty with a little crushed red pepper. I was able to easily find parking and was in and out with my order super quickly. Looks like a great spot to eat in at. The oven is well ventilated and the interior isn't Smokey. The outside patio looks great too! We are excited to try some more pies from Timber. read more

"Good pizza overlooking OLD Durham Bulls ballpark" I would never have noticed this place in its unassuming brick building if I hadn't used navigation, but was happy to find it thanks to reviews. It's next to a brewery and a fitness studio. Some parking right out front and lots otherwise nearby. We came on a Friday night at 6pm, and it was hopping. Fortunately, the weather allowed us to sit outside-- there were several outdoor tables available, and the setup seemed quite dog-friendly. We ordered at the counter (kind of looked like a bar), and then got numbers to sit at a table (outside). The interior was dark and LOUD, so I was happy to sit outside. We got the Martha pizza (Cream, Shaved Fennel, Shaved Garlic, Sliced Scallion, Black Pepper, Garlic Oil, Kale, Meyer Lemon, Parmesan Cheese) and the Don (Tomato Sauce, Provolone and Mozzarella Blend, Copa, Pineapple, Baby Arugula, Honey, Chicken Spice, Lemon Zest -- without the Bacon). We also got a fancy lemonade (I forget the specifics) and a water. I liked that the water was delivered as a pitcher to our table, so we could drink as we liked. Food came in about 10-15 minutes. The pizzas are VERY flat, so easy to eat, and one pizza is maybe just a LITTLE bit large for one-person's meal if that's all you eat (but definitely too little for two people), so glad we got two. The Martha was pretty good-- I thought the fennel was a little overpowering, and the lemon slices (with peels) were a bit much. It was fine as something different, but I don't think I'd order that again. In contrast, I really liked the Don pizza. The pineapple was excellent. I wished there was a bit more arugula-- it was kind of sprinkled on the top almost as an afterthought or garnish, but it was good. Service was friendly-- they checked on us, and cleared plates as we finished them. And the price was decent. I seem to recall the pizzas were in the $15 range. Overall, a solid pizza option adjacent to downtown Durham and close to the Farmer's Market location. read more

We had read good things about this new pizza place near downtown and the old Durham Bulls stadium. Their original location has won some awards, apparently. Stopped in early on a Friday evening and it was slowly filling up. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table or the bar, if that's where you're sitting. The atmosphere is very casual and the staff is super friendly -- stopping by several times to ask if we needed anything. We shared an OMG salad and a Big Green Monster pizza and I'd say those were perfect portions for two diners to share. They had Olympic hockey on when we were there for anyone who was interested. We've also seen their patio full when the weather is nice. We're on their email list now and they promise new offerings every once in a while, so we'll probably be back again. read more

Timber Pizza has opened its second NC location in Durham, and it's definitely worth a visit. Our group placed our order at the counter then grabbed a table. My husband and I split the Bentley and the Bambino and both were delicious. We paired them with a beer which is always a plus. I do like that there is a parking lot here but it can fill up since it is shared with other businesses in the strip so you may need to look for street parking. read more

Price for 12 inch pizza was $22. The pizza had high quality ingredients. Service and ambience were great, but the food was mixed. We got the Bambino pizza and Little C salad. The Bambino was good - the sausage was nicely flavored and fragrant, the crust was crispy but not burnt, and each component was fresh. But still a little bit more flavor would have helped it pack a bit more punch, and the size was quite small for the price. The salad was not my favorite - the dressing was basically just straight up mayo despite claiming to be "miso mayo" and had very little flavor. The peppers in the salad were plentiful but did not really go with the flavorless/underdressed lettuce, and it's not typical to consume so many of those pepper seeds in a single dish, which gave me a lot of discomfort for days after. read more
