    Burnt dried up wings.
    Scott W.

Never ordered form here before. The pizza had very little loppings. There was hardly any sauce and the crust was boring and flat. It was cooked well so I assume that the pizza was their normal pizza offering and what you should expect any day of the week and not the result of a poor employee I would give the pizza a solid 2 stars. The wings on the other hand were burnt to a dried up crisp. There was hardly any Buffalo sauce on them and when I tried to eat them they were hard dry and su ked the moisture out of your mouth. One look at these and any decent employee would know not to send them out but who ever that employee was sent them out anyway. All and all a terrible experience. I decided to order from there after looking through their photos. There actual food looked nothing like the photos.

    Turkey Sub

Stopped by here on our way back from Jordan Lake, and we enjoyed their sandwiches so much. The turkey toasted sub was exactly what I was looking for. My husband got the beef gyro and thought it was delicious. Service was quick, and they had a nice sitting area outdoors. Highly recommend this place!

This is a triple burger I got there :)

I really dont know where to start, the only thing I can tell you to get my point and feedback across is to go and try it yourself. As a local and a neighbor, this is by far my favorite restaurant. They have the most TASTY food I have ever had in the triangle area! Their pizza dough is made fresh every day and sometimes they make it twice a day due to the large amount of pizza orders they have. If their hot wings are made by the right person they would be the BEST in durham. And a HUGE PLUS is their friendly, kind, and respectful staff :) I strongly recommend this place, and if you didnt have a great experience you probably went in the wring time, go back again and I would guarantee you will have a much better and pleasing experience the second time!

The subs are pretty good, flavor-wise. The pizza I just got was disappointing. I've gotten the chicken sub special a couple of times. I remember it had a nice flavor, however, they could have used a little more meat and it was probably a little too heavy on the mayo for some. The meat lovers pizza I just got was just not good enough to recommend, especially at the price. At $18.25 (including tax), I expect a good pizza. The overall taste was ok, but all the ingredients, especially the meats, seemed to be of low quality. The dough was also under cooked and soggy. The garlic butter on the crust was a nice touch though. Apparently, they haven't updated their menu online, so don't go on those prices.

Been living in Durham for over 20 years and just now trying this place out. Passed by it so many times I can't even count. Wanted pizza and wings for dinner tonight so something told me to try this spot. So I did. Looked on Yelp to read the reviews and there were not that many. I was very shocked because I would think that this spot thats been around forever and a day would have more reviews than that. Oh well I tried it anyway. Placed my order for pickup. Wasn't impressed at all by the person who took my order. He didn't ask for my name so I asked him if he wanted my name wIth the order and he said no. That always worries me because that makes me think that your establishment is not real busy so I get a little spooked and start second guessing my decision to order food there. But I pressed on. The place is definitely not one to think highly of but I already knew that. Went inside and immediately wished I could retract my order and just call Marcos and Wingstop and go home. The guy at the register seemed tired and bored but he was pleasant. I would be bored too if I worked there because no one else was there besides whoever was cooking my food. Oh there was a lady and her two little boys who were leaving with their food when I pulled up. The cook brought my food out but didn't say anything to me. I opened the boxes to take a look at my food before leaving and it looked and smelled really good!! Got home and my family and I chowed down. The pizza was really good and the wings were decent. I've had better wings and I've had worse. These were pretty decent. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the food. I guess I'll have to go back and make sure to take pictures!

"Sandwich shop just off University Dr in Durham"…read more Came here for an evening dinner with a friend. We arrived around 5:45pm, and there was ample parking, but I will say the place was HOPPING by the time we left at 6:30pm. The decor is very cute-- old-style, good seating and a bar area as well. You order at the table, and food comes to you. My dining mate got the Cypriot (Halloumi, Fig, Arugula, Tomato, Pesto) with a side of curly fries, and I wasn't very hungry so I got the Beyond Meat Chicken Tenders kids meal with a side salad. I also got a delicious bottled sparkling lemonade. Service was fine-- food comes after order, but you're mostly on your own once food is delivered, as expected. We got a couple of napkins with the food, but there are more self-serve up in the counter. Just don't expect someone to check on you or anything. The food was GREAT. My dining partner loved her sandwich (commented especially on the fig spread) and fries, and I really liked my meal as well. The side salad was surprisingly delicious, especially the addition of pickled red onion. The place was clean-- I went to the restroom, too, and everything was stocked well. Price was very fair. Overall, I'd happily come back. Easy, priced well, delicious. Not a place where you get a lot of "attention", but great for a simple meal.

"Great deli-style sandwiches, from rather hidden location on Chapel Hill Rd"…read more Came by here on a Saturday. This place is REALLY hard to find... it's behind the State Farm building, but there's barely any signage from the street. (Note: some photos here in Yelp seem to be from an older location.) We actually came one Saturday, but it was unexpectedly closed, but we caught them the following one, so good to call and confirm before driving over. You walk up to a door on the back, and scan a QR code to see the menu. Then knock on/ open the door and someone will come to take your order. Then you wait outside and they bring you your sandwiches. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good. I do think it may be excellent for catering or for getting picnic sandwiches though.

First of all, the bread is soft and has a nice bite, holds the juices of a sandwich well and was fresh. I got the Cobble Hill sandwich and the turkey was really good. Also the size is amazing for the price. When you get there, it feels like you're in the wrong place or entering in the wrong way, but you're not. I asked if this was the sandwich spot and a young man took my order and made my sandwich within 5 min. And there is enough parking behind the State Farm building to pull up and get your sandwich I can't wait to go back and try the Italian and cheesesteak sandwiches.

We enjoyed sitting upstairs where we could all sit together and watch the scenery while eating. The kids loved the space, and it also provided us with some privacy for our birthday celebration. The scone was very good. I was a bit disappointed with the smoothie, though. I was expecting it to be flavorful and naturally sweet due to the mangoes and pineapple as well as the honey that was supposed to be added, but it was quite bland and not flavorful at all. They make cookies, pastries, breads (pan loaf and hand-formed ones), soups, hand pies, and sandwiches. The variety is amazing. During the holiday season, they offer larger pies and have various seasonal goods to offer. But what's also wonderful is this bakery gives back to the community in many ways. During the height of the pandemic, they offered free bagged lunch to anyone who needed one. They also were (are?) part of the pilot project for Durham's guaranteed income. It looks to me that the owners/company are concerned about being good citizens of the community and that's a great thing. These days, so many companies get bought out by private equity companies. I hope this bakery continues to be locally owned and operated! (Also, generally this bakery isn't offering the very fancy European/European-ish style pastries which is fine by me. The prices are very reasonable, possibly in part because they aren't trying to make their baked goods a "high end" item. There are other good local bakeries that offer "high end" pastries, but they are also much less affordable and for my taste, too rich.)
