    1 Topping Pizza Slice
    Dominique M.

Today on the way out of Durham I stopped here for a slice as I was told that they had excellent pizza. Those in my mind are strong words and should not be said lightly as person who grew up in NY. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With that being said this is a small hole in the wall pizza place with not much ambiance to speak of.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you like thin crust pizza then grab a slice from them. I will say that it's big and messy not really something you can eat while driving. I enjoyed it. Again I would say not excellent but it wasn't a bad since of pizza.

Update: get the large pizza slices!!!!! We've been ordering these the past few times, and they are delicious!! HUGE slices, thin and crispy crust (great to fold!!!), and seasoned well. Pizza slices are 10/10.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, welcoming pizza shop with staff that treat you like a long-lost relative.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are higher than I like but the serving size makes up for it.

Stopped in for a quick bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's your typical hole-in-the-wall pizzeria that reminds me a lot of the small no-frills ones you'd find in NYC.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good and the guy behind the counter was professional.

Craving Italian food, but not sure what I was hungry for, I found Devil's Pizzeria where they have a Vegetarian Sampler bowls. So, so good. I also nabbed the fried ravioli. I asked for ranch instead of marinara for dipping. I was happy when I opened the container at home to see the ranch! Finally I devoured the chocolate dipped cannoli! I haven't tried the pizza, but I highly recommend Devil's for the pasta!

Outstanding pizza. Good fried mushrooms and decent parking curbside. I often think of this place as I remember good food I've had.

Everything is DELICIOUS!!! One slice of pizza equals 2 1/2 of a regular slice elsewhere. The subs are ginormous salads fulfilling.

The staff was pretty slow and rude. The lady with the red colored hair had a ugly attitude when we asked about the situation with our pizza.

The sandwiches were packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and the bread was soft with just the right texture. The Clifford's Cutlet was crispy and delicious, while the McSteak was rich, cheesy, and seriously satisfying. And those chocolate chunk sea salt cookies? Absolutely phenomenal. Soft, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Everything arrived fresh, and I was already thinking about what I want to order next before I finished eating. If you're debating whether to try EASTCUT, do it. This was easily a 10/10 meal, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

Yelp told me this delicious sandwich shop was just 5 minutes away, which seemed like the perfect option. It was a hot summer day and I couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the heat. We got the last table in the air conditioned inside, which made me happy. We placed our orders at the counter: - The Jane for me - Pine Street Pimento for my daughter and a bag of chips (salt & vinegar for me) for both! We did the smaller size sandwiches which were still quite large, but we were quite hungry and finished them off. They were so good that I even thought about coming back for lunch the next day, but knew there were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area to try. However, i'll come again when back in the area!

A1 Gyro and Philly, a food truck that serves lamb gyro, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, and grilled…read morechicken sandwiches, came to a neighborhood in Carrboro, NC today, and as a lamb gyro enthusiast, I decided to buy a couple (1 for my girl). I was the only customer, and the friendly Middle Eastern guy in the food truck asked what I wanted: 2 gyro wraps. He asked if I wanted to add hot sauce to my gyros with tzatziki sauce, and I said, "Yes". I asked him where the food truck is based, he said that he goes to different locations, and didn't mention a permanent location. I checked the address here on Yelp and it says it's based in Durham, NC, which is not too far from here. Each gyro wrap cost $12, and my total came up $26+ (I assume with tax included). I was about to pull out $25 cash but after he said total, I pulled $30, and he said not to worry about it. I insisted to give the $30 and he gave a $5 change. I guess I got a $1 discount. He finished cooking both gyros in about 12 min., a bit longer than I expected, considering I was the only customer he was serving at that time. The gyro wraps were served inside a small paper bag, and wrapped in aluminum foil. I was quite surprised at the size of the order for 2 gyros. When I opened my gyro wrap, the size looked regular yet a bit smaller that what I had in last October's State Fair, which was fine, considering the State Fair gyro (which came with side of Greek fries) cost me $18+. However, unlike that State Fair gyro, I did not enjoy A1's main specialty. I would have to agree with what the previous reviewer Renee said, "Onions does not make a Gyro make". I love onions but not too much on my Gyro; this one is loaded with so much onions, lettuce, and tomato to the point that it's drowning the flavors of tzatziki sauce and hot sauce (Did he forget to put it?). The amount of lamb gyro meat didn't seem to justify its $12 price; it's not even spiced well, and the mush of ingredients to hide the fact that it's lacking meat just looked as bad as it tasted. That's not even the worst part. When I ate the gyro wrap, the pita bread tasted soggy, and that unpleasant texture and taste were more emphasized on every bite than the lamb gyro. I was not able to finish it; and just threw my leftover away. As I'm writing this review, my girl hasn't eaten her gyro wrap yet, and I haven't told her what I thought so she could judge by herself. We recently enjoyed an $11+ gyro in Kebab Skewer in Cary, and a $12+ chicken + lamb over rice at Tasty Halal Eats food truck in Morrisville, NC (both I reviewed here on Yelp), and I'm sad to say that A1's gyro wraps were nowhere close to the food quality of those foods and the State Fair gyro I mentioned earlier. The food truck's friendly customer service and 99% Sanitation Score are the only positive things I could say about this food truck. A1's gyro is clearly the opposite of what "A1" means. Overall Score: 1.1/5

All the orders are to go, but they do have a couple picnic tables just outside. I ordered two sandwiches, one hot and one cold. The cold one for tomorrow. Both of them had an asterisk beside them saying they were spicy, imagine that. I got a full size chopped cheese which comes in a hoagie roll. It was delicious and nicely spicy. Perfect for lunch and dinner. The cold sandwich I got was the roast turkey. It was very tasty too, I'm almost tempted to say I liked it better. Now that I've tasted their sandwiches I know why there was a line.
