We went for the experience and its definitely a cute place to get dressed up and go with a group of friends for light snacks and afternoon tea. After 5pm there are alternative food and beverage options available. The interior is simple but nicely decorated. We opted to share a tower and each choose some items we wanted to try and then did our own add-ons. My personal favorite were the biscuits. A traditional tea can be difficult to find however, Tilly's was a wonderful experience. The ambiance is more modern with a traditional tea menu (which I appreciate). Several tea options but - not overwhelming. I tried raspberry and vanilla. It was bright, light and lovely! My aunt and I split an afternoon tea with an extra scone. They were more than willing to switch egg salad for another sandwhixh choice AND it was plenty of food for a 11:30am reservation. Service was a tad slow due to having only two people on the floor. My girls were so mesmerized by the chandeliers and pretty china when they little. My mom and I came here on a Saturday afternoon to do something a little different for lunch. It's a convenient location as you can do some shopping and then pop in for a break! The decor is a little hokey but still fun! We got the afternoon tea which comes with 3 sandwiches (egg salad, cucumber, and your choice), a rotating scone with jam and clotted cream, and 4 little desserts. The scone the day we went was a coco cherry and it was absolutely delicious!!! The sandwiches are cute but nothing I couldn't make myself. We added on an extra pot of tea, so we got the passion fruit one a vanilla. The vanilla was so good, we almost got another pot!! It's $35 a person and an extra 12.50 for another pot of tea. Based on the small amount of food you get, I don't know if it's fully worth the $35. Also good to note that a 20% tip is included in the bill regardless of party size or price. I didn't see it anywhere on the menu, so just a warning! I wish they used cuter dish ware!! A place that does high tea should have the cutesy plates, tea cups and saucers, and pots. All of it was plain and kinda boring to look at. A missed opportunity for sure. It was a fun thing to do on a Saturday but not something I would do on the regular. read more

Located on the 3rd floor of Sak's 5th Ave in the Keystone mall sits a delightful tea room with sparkle and all things lovely. Our server Debbie, was excellent in guiding our selections. While some chose the Afternoon Tea which consisted of 3 tiers of tea sandwiches, scone w/ clotted cream and an English jam of choice (all sounding delicious), and mini desserts all amply satisfying amounts to enjoy, I chose the Pair Two-a salad of choice and a sandwich choice w a choice of bread. My favs: - orange scone - egg salad Not my fav: - value (portion sizes for price) - you reuse your tea bag when they refill* There were 2 other tables occupied and we were not checked on frequently so our refills were slow. * I don't like over-steeped tea and had removed my tea bag. Upon refill I was brought hot water only and instructed to reuse my teabag. The bag had been squeezed, wrapped around a spoon, and was on my plate with crumbs. Not ideal. I mentioned this and it was explained to me that they use a new tea bag on your 3rd or so refill. They left and I cleaned off my teabag to use it again. After it was steeping in the new hot water, the waitress came by with a new tea bag (I think she realized I wasn't thrilled). But it was too late - she didn't say she would do that, and I was already sleeping the old one. So she took the new tea bag back. Just awkward. read more

The server was kind, prompt and checked on us regularly ( note there was another set of two woman in the tea room who were finishing up there lunch when we arrived for our noon reservations). Our tea and water arrived quickly. We did get the Afternoon Tea which was $45 a person; I find it overpriced as the sandwiches barely have any filling and all we tasted was bread. The scone with clotted cream is very good and I would only go back for tea and scone. The 4 bite size of desserts was okay, the cheesecake was my favorite. The ambience is not a typical tea room especially since it converts into a wine bar on certain days of the week and it shows more like a wine room which reduces the ambience for an afternoon of tea. They have one bathroom to be shared by everyone. It's a lovely concept but I don't foresee it lasting unless they change something's. read more

Oh my gosh- how could I have not known about this place. I have been so sad since the tea room in Carmel closed. But now I have a new place. My daughter and I went to check it out. It is on the top floor of Saks- a cool little art museum is outside. The decor was quite nice. They have a high tea and a cute princess tea for kids however we just wanted tea and a snack. We ordered a vanilla flavored tea that we shared. It was very good and hot. We each ordered a scone: the scone of the day was blueberry. Delicious and a bit different from other scones I have had. A little moister. The scone came with a choice of sides. I ordered clotted cream and lemon curd. My daughter ordered the clotted cream and a strawberry jam. The lemon curd was out of this world and I had to fight my daughter off lol. I did notice that you can buy it there too! A pot of tea was $9.50 and each scone was $7.( I do wish the scone was a little bigger or maybe 2). A little expensive but so relaxing and quiet and worth the price. So elegant. I went here on a "day date" with my wife. We had tea with scones and clotted cream - that was the goal of the trip. We also had sandwiches for lunch. It was fun to go and have a tea party in the middle of the day. It was mostly about the atmosphere for us. There were many tables open on our date day. But, the service seemed overwhelmed or thrown off by our arrival. There was a party of 12 at one table, a party of 4 at another and our party of 2. We had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to seat us (she commented, "She told me there was another reservation, but she didn't give me the details of when or how many.") and then quite a bit more wait time for someone to come to our table. The person who said, "I'll be right back." never came and finally someone who appeared to be helping but not doing his normal job, came out. He said in a surprised voice, "have you been waited on?" From that point on he helped us, and we got service. Probably just a fluke, but it made me feel like I was doing something wrong by being there... Our food took a while to get to us. We both ordered a sandwich and it was just okay. I don't think they were made to the description on the menu. My wife ordered based on the description of the sandwich and asked at one point if she got the correct order because it didn't have many of the items from the menu. We were told it was correct - the time to get the first set of sandwiches was so long, we just let it go. The clotted cream was not smooth like it normally is and the scone was stale. We had this clotted cream and scone from the Tea Room on the Midtown Holiday Home tour and it was amazing. But at the tea room, it was old and not great. Again, it was like we were not quite suppose to be there. Even though we had a reservation, they did not plan on us being there - I really felt like an unwelcome guest. We still enjoyed ourselves by ignoring the situation and enjoying each others company. It was a quiet, elegant place to meet for lunch - just the two of us. You will definitely need a reservation, especially if planning to go on a Saturday as there is not room for walk-ins on weekends. We made our reservation about a week in advance. When we arrived, we were greeted by name by the owner, Sharon! Very nice touch as it let me know they are very aware of their reservations! She was very sweet and kindly showed us to our table! She even came back and took our order! It was nice to see an owner who was so involved and didn't shy away from helping her staff! We ordered the Princess Tea for my toddler which comes with a heart shaped sandwich, scone w/jam, desserts, and a "pot of tea" of their choice. They can pick from things like apple juice, orange juice, milk, or tea. We also ordered the Afternoon Tea and chose the share with a friend option. The Afternoon Tea shared with a friend comes with 6 finger sandwiches (cucumber, egg salad, and we chose chicken salad as our 3rd option), scones with cream and your choice of jam or curd, desserts, and 2 pots of tea! Everything was lovely! All of the sandwiches were delicious and each had their own distinct flavors! The cranberry scones were wonderful! I enjoyed mine with the cream and lemon curd! I was an artist exhibiting at the Saks third floor gallery. In order to have food served at my venue, I had to deal with the proprietor of Tilly's Tea Room, Sharon Moore. Sharon was unreachable, haughty, and rude. I paid for food to be served from 2 to 5:30. Food arrived almost an hour late and was collected one and a half hours early, so food was only available for one and a half hours when I paid for more. I understood that the food had to taken out before 5:30 but 4?? Sharon refused to allow music stating that I would have to rent the entire Saks store in order to do so because our music would interfere with the Tea Room Music and the store music. then, at the last minute, a speaker was wheeled in for music from my iPhone. I never even knew this place existed, but my dance coach wanted to treat our JR competition team to a special treat! This place is super cute and if you want to give your daughter or group of young ladies a royal fancy experience......come here! We had the space reserved for an hour and half; you come into Saks, take the escalator to the 3rd floor and Tilly's Tea Room is right there! There are gorgeous crystal style chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, beautiful elegant place setting at every seat, and light pastel pictures, couches, and decorations throughout the area. I mean they literally transformed this tiny space into a gorgeous feeling. Im not sure if they do this with all the guests, but each of our ladies was able to pick a tiara from a pile to wear during the experience. They were served lemonade (none of them wanted hot tea) and a 3 tier tray if assorted goodies from sandwiches to pastries. I believe the waitress asked them what kind of sandwiches, because one of them mentioned pb&j. I was the other chaperone so our tower wads little different. Our array of sandwiches included: the classic cucumber, a smoked salmon, an egg salad, and a tuna. I believe there were a couple of more too. Our next tier had some sort of scones which came with some amazing spreads! There was some sort of cream one (can't remember the name), lemon curd, and a jam. They were phenomenal! I mean so good I layered it and here is the way you should do it. A thin layer of white, next the lemon curd and top it with jam and go to heaven, trust me it's amazing! The top tier is where all the desserts were located. There were about 4 different types if pastries and each one was delicious! At least it what the young ladies told me. By the time I got to the too tier I was stuffed! I had a hot tea; I believe it was blueberry elderflower.....and it was light with slight fruity flavor. They seem to have missed the point of why someone will pay extra for a high tea experience. We had a party of six and could not be seated by the window (in an empty restaurant) and ended up in a dark back corner. We were told that they forgot to charge the lights so we would not have any light. No tea menu, we had to try and memorize the list of only 7 or 9 teas that were read off to us. Isn't that the whole point of a tea house? To offer a myriad assortment of at least 30-40 wonderful teas and decide which experience you will have this time? Teas were simply tea bags dropped in the same plain white pot. Overall, the quality of the tea matched anything you can buy at any supermarket. Food was served on a simple stacked tray (not bad) in oversized plain white plates (bad). Food tasted at the level of just making a regular sandwich, good to eat but nothing special. Salmon was placed on slightly soggy bread. Desserts were above-average. Scone/jam/clotted cream was good and probably their best offering. Music playing did not match a tea house. Ambience felt like were were sitting in a bar which is probably what this place will become shortly. Overall, felt like a serious waste of money as the only thing that matched a real tea house was the cost. Next time, I'll just make a turkey sandwich and drink a cup of plain tea at home. read more

I made it out to Tilly's for a friend's birthday not too long ago. What amazed me first? I had no idea that it even existed, despite a friend actually working at Saks for years. For the price that we paid, I can't say many good things about Tilly's. The customer service is fabulous - mostly because there are barely any people going in and out of there - and while the teas are unlimited and quite good, the food was a hit or miss. The scone and cream was one of the best I've had by FAR, and the egg salad sandwich was divine, but as a vegetarian, I was quite disappointed by the cucumber-cream cheese sandwich that tasted like, well, nothing, and the pesto-tomato toast they offered - it was good, but nothing special. Definitely go for the sweets. If I were to go back, I'd probably suggest that my dining companions go for the charcuterie board and some of the other savory items they have. But I also am not sure I'd go back again. read more

Tilly's Tea Room is a wonderful place for a classy gathering. We came here for a mini bridal shower, and it was the perfect venue for a celebration with a group of ladies. They have a great selection of teas to choose from, and have options for food to eat as well. I'd recommend the açaí and rooibos tea! We got the cheese board, which came with a variety of cheese, crackers, fruit, and a wonderful merlot jam. The board was a good amount of snacks for 2-3 people. Not pictured were our desserts: the flourless chocolate cake and the brownie. The flourless cake was very rich, but had a nice almost mousse texture. The brownie was warm and moist. We were not doing full afternoon tea this time but I checked it out and the tiers of sandwiches and treats looked great. However because we were there we had to try a little bit of everything so we had to try some traditional tea fare and ordered mango green tea, a scone and an order of crumpets. The crumpets were served fresh off the griddle in and toppped with butter and we had our choice of Nutella, lemon curd, orange curd, strawberry jam and strawberry champagne jam. The scone had the same jam and curd options but also included clotted cream. The server shared with us that they rotate scone flavors... Today we had lavender, but she mentioned some they have on other days included traditional raisin, peaches and cream, white chocolate cherry, orange cranberry.... To name a few. I guess I'll have to come in more often to see what they're having and obviously have a taste. So.... we were REALLY there for lunch and both of us got the daily special... And that was definitely the right choice! So, first of all, note that it was a special and they might not have it all the time but if this is any hint on what future specials will be like, I'll have them going forward.... GRILLED. CHEESE. PERFECTION. Ricotta and Brie make a perfectly oozy cheesy filling, on gorgeously crispy-on-the-outside browned airy-on-the-inside brioche, and to cut the rich decadence of the cheese, there's a layer perfectly thinly sliced pears... Just the right amount of sweet for balance. The tomato basil soup is labeled a "cup" but it's a small bowl. This is real from scratch tomato soup perfect tomato tartness to go with the oozy wonderful grilled cheese. A mini art gallery and the tea room are the only two things available on the third floor, so you can't miss it. This is a mixed review and I'm torn between star ratings. The large open seating area is cute and most of the food was good....but....when I go for an afternoon tea, which I do in about every major city I visit, I rate the tea and ALL the food. The tea here was warm, not hot so when adding cream the tea was almost cold. That was disappointing. We also had to ask for cream. Two of the mini desserts tasted like freezer burn or had absorbed the flavors of another food. The sandwiches and scones with all of the toppings were really good. The jam, curds- lemon and orange, as well as the clotted cream were on point. Our server was great. The mimosas were good. My group also had the champagne and Bellini's and said they were good too. A 15% gratuity was automatically added into the bill. Would I come back, definitely. I'd just have to wait and see how the desserts taste again because that's what overshadowed the whole visit for me. read more

We were very excited to take our girls here. It was terrible and we found out the manager/owner was the one waiting on us. A glass broke and she told us she would clean it up after we ate and just to not step on it. Our daughters are 7. She never brought our drinks. Really cute place. Perfect for the wedding shower that was there. I had the Cobb salad for lunch. Probably a little pricey for the size and cilantro dressing was tasteless. Honey mustard was much better. My first time having tea and crumpets! The crumpets were divine. The clotted creme tasted like butter. Yum. Adorable, place with well done decor. Great place for Sunday tea with friends. We even took 3 little girls under age 5 and Sharon, the owner was very accommodating. They put us at a table near the back, near some toys to help keep them occupied. You can do a traditional Sunday tea or just order off the menu. The adults enjoyed salads, sandwiches, and soup and everyone was happy with their food. The little girls ordered the princess tea, which was adorable. Great time was had by all. Tilly's, you get four stars since the food was outstanding, but man oh man, that was some slow service. The food did not come out all at once, I think a tray would have helped that a bit and they even forgot one of my friend's scones at the end. The owner, I presume, was very friendly, as was the server and I had the chicken cobb salad and it was the perfect size and I loved the cilantro avocado dressing. I had to have the scone with the clotted cream and lemon curd. This alone is worth going here. And, I loved all the tea selections. This is my favorite tea room, clotted cream is amazing. We met here for book club, 8 ladies all loved their afternoon tea. A couple of the gals have been to England and had tea at Harrods, they enjoyed this one very much. Afternoon tea is a charming tiered tray, three finger sandwiches on the bottom tray, scones made in house (delicious, not dry) and clotted cream with a choice of lemon curd or homemade strawberry jam (the jam is amazing) and them the top tier is three mini desserts. The desserts were not my favorite but not so bad as to drop my rating. The best thing about this place is that they have other "real food" on the menu and someone with a bigger appetite could order sufficient food. But don't get me wrong, the tea service is definitely enough food, we were all stuffed! The waitress is friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea service is also offered and comes with tea, tea sandwiches, a scone, and mini desserts and they now offer an amazing brunch on Sunday that feature some sweet treats from their friends at Square Donut. The new layout is more spacious, but still maintains the shabby chic decor that their house in Fishers was known for and is a great place for girlfriends, mothers and daughters, and families to go and enjoy a lunch time and tea. read more

Enjoyed a ladies lunch here on Saturday. Unfortunately they are at the mercy of Saks hours so I was unable to get up there earlier than noon to set out favors and decor. The afternoon tea is by far the best deal and great to share. It comes with a variety of sandwiches plus scones, dessert and tea. There is a $10 upcharge for the sharing but that meant we each got our own scone and teapot. The quality of food and service is top notch. And the seating has always been far enough apart that it can have many guests without feeling too crowded. I've hosted showers here as well and they do a wonderful job catering to a larger group. This is an elegant spot on the top floor of Saks. There Are several options of teas to enjoy and they have a good variety of food as well! Enjoyed a nice afternoon tea that included a pot of tea and three tiers of bites. They will refill your teapot so you can have almost 6 cups which is plenty! The sandwiches were delicious and the scones were excellent as well as they come with authentic clotted cream, which was to die for. I enjoyed my afternoon here and appreciated the elegant feel and fancy touches. Will definitely go back! It would be the perfect place for a ladies afternoon or bridal brunch! read more

Felt really ripped off by this place. Got the feeling that they don't really care about service when we left there because they have 20% gratuity added to the bill no matter what size your party (which we didn't know until we paid and would not have left 20% for the service we got) It was my first time in today and I wasn't impressed. We made reservations and it was for my nieces 8th birthday celebration. We had high hopes for this place. There was a bridal shower so they were busy but really dropped the ball when it came to helping anyone else out at the restaurant. If you know a large party is coming you should be more prepared and not let service suffer for everyone else. It took over an hour to get our food luckily we order almost right when we got there too or it would have been longer. When we finally got our food we didn't have any silverware so we couldn't even eat our food. My sister was missing the chicken on her salad and I was missing my dressing for my salad and soup. It took about 30 minutes to get our check and I had to go hunt someone down to pay. Needless to say we won't be coming back or recommend this place. Food was okay although I was starving so would have take anything at that point but not worth the price and not worth the 20 percent already added gratuity. Unimpressed with the table settings, China wear and the tea it was very weak. (Even though they display very beautiful table settings that no one is sitting at) Most of the time these places are a little overpriced but you are paying for the atmosphere and experience too but that very much was lacking here. read more
