My friend and I came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were greeted by 4 people at the counter. It was a very inviting environment and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly and personable and gave some great recommendations. We ordered a piña colada and margarita for drinks. My margarita arrived in a cup with lots of ice, maybe a little too much ice but I'm a casual, one drink type of gal so it didn't bother me. However, someone who wants to feel a little something might be bothered. My friend said her piña colada had a weird after taste but she could not put her finger on what it was. For the entree I ordered crispy shrimp and fries. My friend ordered coconut shrimp and fries. Both arrived in a paper, bucket, container type of thing. The portions were small for the price and bland tasting. My friend claimed she didn't taste any coconut in her coconut shrimp. We also ordered food to go for our husbands. The choose any three tacos and the Big-Catch-wich sandwich. Our husbands shared both needed more flavor. The tacos were over filled with toppings and very little meat and the grouper sandwich was practically tasteless. Overall, I can tell people come here for the ambiance and customer service. The vibe was very chill and the view was nice. Our waitress definitely elevated the experience with her friendliness and frequent check ins. read more

Salty margarita, had to send back. Then girlfriend ordered a wine. It came in a highball glass. My draft beer came in a plastic cup. Ordered a quesadilla. No cheese on it. Asked for sour cream. It came in a squeeze pouch! WTF!! They took taps off draft. So people assumed they were closing. People left bar, as we finished our drinks, more people showed up and were giving drink and food menus!! What is going on? For a nice place in Riverview, this may be the worst place in Riverview. We really wanted to like this place. The building is amazing awesome view right on the water. This is a great place to stop and have a cold drink. But the disappointing part is their food. Let's start with one of my favorites coconut shrimp. Not the worst I've ever had but pretty close. Practically no flavor and then there's the crinkle cut french fries no seasoning bland very disappointing. On to the second visit. Try to dock with sandwich which was okay nothing great about it and come with the same land boring crinkle cut french fries. On to the third visit figured we would try a couple different things. Had a shrimp fried rice with pineapple just okay again disappointed the Big kahuna crab cake platter again yeah just okay. Went on a Thursday evening around 7:30p. There was an hour wait for outdoor dining. We waited because the outside patio was really nice and it was a beautiful night. The restaurant is really nice. Inside has a sports bar vibe and the outside overlooks the water. The food though.... Meh. That's the best way to describe it. Nothing was really good. The crabby wings had me super excited. Chicken wings with crab meat sprinkled on top! I thought I was going to be in heaven. The sauce has some kick to it and the crab meat was used sparingly. My main problem was that she skin on the chicken wings was soft and slimy. It wasn't an appetizing texture at all. I ordered the Alfafia tacos and paid $2.00 extra per taco for the Grouper. The flavor was actually really good. Again, my problem is that when you up-charge me $6 for grouper, I expect to be able to taste it. Each taco had one, small nugget of grouper. After 2 small bites of my taco all of the meat was gone. My friend ordered the Signature Riverview Ribs, which looked super pretty when they brought it out. However, looks can be very deceiving. They were overdone and the signature tiki glaze was horrible. They use the word "Signature" a lot with this dish on their menu and they probably should stop. Like immediately. I finally made it to Tiki Dock. I had been wanting to check it out for a few months but would always see a crowd of people waiting out front. When I checked in I was told it was an hour wait but my table was ready after only about 30 minutes. The atmosphere is really nice. They have a bunch of TVs in the middle of the bar and nice lighting. The outdoor patio area looked nice as well and had live music. The menu had a wide selection of drink options that sounded delicious. The drinks are a little pricey but pretty good. I ordered the grouper sandwich but was disappointed by the lack of flavor. It tasted like there were no seasonings used and I had to add salt, pepper and lemon. I loved the Mexican street corn! Definitely try it! Overall I would come back for just drinks and to catch a vibe. read more

Tiki docks is a must visit if you're in the area. The ambiance is great and the staff are very attentive. We had a bigger party of 8 and our server was quick to make sure we always had what we needed. ORDER THE FISH AND CHIPS!! The fish and chips is basically a whole fish and was split between a few people in our group and the breading was amazing. We sort of felt like we were at a resort. This place has an excellent atmosphere, super flavorful, delicious food along with great service. We waited about 35 mins on a Friday night around 6pm. It definitely got busier after that. We got drinks in the meantime, very tasty, $10.50 each. There's plenty of seating & two bars, one outside & one inside. We sat outside and while it was chilly there are warmers right up next to the table and that suited us perfectly. We did not receive our appetizer of wings before our meal, but the waiter did the appropriate thing and not only still served the wings but took it off the bill. They were absolutely delicious, grilled until they were pretty much falling off the bone. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. I will say the pork on my tacos was a little tough but the flavor was there. The service made it even better, shout out to Ed on the patio that night. The ONLY negative thing I have to say (and it happens to be VERY negative) is the restrooms were NOT clean. I visited twice and the second time there was actual feces on the side of the toilet and the next one didn't flush. They need to tend to it more often for sure. Unacceptable. I was so glad when I was finally able to visit here. Since the opening I've been waiting until the hype dies down a bit to check it out. They did a very good job with the usage of land and architecture. There's plenty of indoor seating and outside overlooking the river. They have two bars. One large one on the inside with overhead TVs with sports on and one outside. It looks like there could be more opportunity to utilize the grounds closer to the river. The food and drink were good (about average). The atmosphere, vibe, and music were excellent! I'm glad Riverview is picking up on adding a few places of entertainment/Night life for adults in this neighborhood. I've lived in Riverview my entire life, and was really excited when I saw this restaurant being built a year or so back. The location is great and has a beautiful view of the Alafia river! The restaurant has a beautifully decorated interior and a great aesthetic. I LOVE the waterfall wall, and that they have a bar inside and outside. It's usually very packed with customers though- especially in the afternoon. Would recommend coming earlier in the day if you don't want to wait for a long time. This was my first time eating here, and I have to say, I was unfortunately very underwhelmed by the food and drinks. My burger came out very cold and really lacked in flavor. I had to cover everything in ketchup to be able to enjoy my food. They put shredded cheese on the burger too- which I thought was a little weird. My mom got the 'Fish n' Chips', and it was pretty good. (Especially if you squeeze a lemon wedge on top). I didn't find many appealing items on their menu though. I think they'd be better off with a completely new, updated menu that represents the location better. The sangria (which is premixed from a tap, like a lot of their cocktails), tasted like box wine, and I had to switch it out. However, the Puka Punch was amazing! Tastes just like fruit punch! The drinks were all about $10 though. Feel like the prices were a little high, for how mediocre most of the drinks are. Drinks come in a cute, tiki glass if you ask though! I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant, unless they change the menu up. Love the location- but it really is just not worth the price or the wait, and the food is mostly average. read more

This place has a nice outside patio, nice view of the river. As far as food it's a hit and miss, had the poke tuna and the seared tuna, both too salty. Is it authentic tiki? No. Did that bother me? Hell no!! I enjoyed my visit and I loved the tiki theme. The food was decent and our server was friendly enough. Luckily we went around 3:00 pm, so it was basically dead. Great! We sat outside on the deck. My drink wasn't very strong but even so I enjoyed it. It was more like a slushee which was great on that hot day. Before leaving we stopped at the gift shop and I bought a cute T shirt for my husband and a soft side cooler which I got to put into use the very next day when we went to Weeki Wachi Springs. They say the second time is the charm!!! For me my second time at Tiki Docks was much better than the first. Let's just say, it's not smart to go on a Friday night for dinner unless you intend on waiting two hours for a table. However, this time around I went during the week around 5:30. Was able to walk straight in and was seated outside on the water. I ordered the Carb Cake Sandwich and I was not disappointed. The amount of fires was outstanding and the sandwich itself stood on its own. It is loaded with crab meat and the bread compliments everything well. I did get a drink, however, I do think it's a hit or miss with their specialty drinks. Overall I will go back for this sandwich any-day of the week!! read more

So this has been my worst experience here. I've come about 5 times. Last experience was pretty bad so was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. The cups are dirty. Had to send water back several Times due to the amount of food, not from me, on them. I didn't get a server until 20 minutes after my arrival and was told " seats aren't even supposed to be there". Food was amazing! I ordered the Nachos, it was a Large portion so it was shareable. Our waitress provided us with excellent service, even tho she was extremely busy. Very polite, and took time to answer any questions we had as this was our first visit. We sat out on the patio, the weather was great that day. When we first arrived we were a little confused on where to enter, which ended up being great because we were able to see where the boats can dock. Very long wait, not the restaurant fault... I blame it on covid!! I love how the restaurant ambiance. Cool looking building, not your average set up. The food was decent, I went with a lot of family so all the food was not mine. I ordered the crab cake dinner which was a good choice, I had enough for two meals. It contained a lot of crab meat. I also ordered the fish dip appetizer. The dip was good but it was odd to have pork rinds with it and cucumbers. I would have preferred cucumbers only. The pina colada drink was refreshing but needed more alcohol in it. At the end of the drink it felt like I ordered a virgin drink instead. I would return as the wait wasn't as bad saying they have two bars to order and a nice outside view. I think by the fresh no sweetness is added so it's a little sour. It was strong and the flavor was there! I ordered the chicken finger sandwich and it was a 10/10! The chicken was flavorful and not greasy. The batter had an amazing taste and with the toppings it made it delicious and perfect. The fries were a 3/10. I think they were fried frozen so I'm def. excited to try a different side next time. Banana Bread dessert was 10/10. The bread was warm with Carmel drizzled with walnuts and vanilla bean ice cream! Plenty for 2 or more! The food portions were good. And again, the ratings are my tastebuds only. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The music and decor is very beach and relaxing. We came into tiki docks the other night, and our server Mia was super sweet and really great, we ordered drinks I got Pina colada which was pretty much crushed ice when I got it I couldn't sip it through the straw I told Mia and she reblended my drink which was better, my husband got the burger sandwich which we wouldn't get again very salty not a good blend on beef but the tacos I got were good except the pork belly very tough to chew but the fish and shrimp were delicious! My husband was still hungry so we ordered some wings the tiki sauce and the gochujang sauce and they were delicious, but lastly dessert which we had one bite and it pretty much tasted like soap like the pan they made the banana bread in wasn't washed off fully was very pleasant but the manager did take that off for us which We appreciated but overall it was hit and miss. read more

I literally saw this place come alive, a definite cool new spot for Riverview :)) My boyfriend and I visited yesterday for football Sunday and we were told the wait would be 1-2 hours. It didn't bother us at all, but we lucked out and found 2 seats at the bar right away, which we preferred anyway. The drinks were AMAZING!! I had 2 of their ginger pineapple mules. The food was even better! They have a unique take on food and It tasted deliciously fresh. We only shared 2 small plates, the weekie wachie watermelon and the kahuna mini crab cakes.
