I've dined here over a year ago I didn't think much of it except for the vibe was nice by the river but the food and service was over priced and mediocre. This place was suggested for dinner with some friends and I figured i'd try it again since the last time was over a year ago it would probably a better experience right? NO! the server was kinda rude so the service was still blah and the food was even more blah. $18 for a couple coconut shrimp that barely tasted like coconut and i guess they tried to compensate that with the enormous amount of fries that came with it but no. Not worth $18 at all definitely could get this cheaper somewhere else and with better quality. If i go back id probably just go for drinks but i wouldn't recommend this place for food at all. underwhelming and overpriced. read more

We were visiting family and Tiki came highly recommended. It was a fun afternoon. The food is good but not a culinary miracle. The service is adequate but not 5 star. The only 5 star observations was the tall manager who was doing everything from shucking oysters to bussing tables and running food and talking w every guest, including us. My family owns a small business so seeing someone care that much and work that hard is uncommon and every one of us in our party of 13 noticed. Seeing that someone actually cared about the customers made our average experience an amazing experience. read more

Happy hour and beautiful views. Perfect spot to visit and enjoy the Alafia river anytime of the day. This place continues to invest back into its business. Adding docks off the river for boaters to stop in and enjoy a refreshing beverage and bites. . Friend and I shared the coconut shrimp dinner and I enjoyed a high noon all while taking in the surrounding area and calm waterfront. Our bar staff was so quick and responsive. This was the first time at this location. I've visited the location in st Pete a few times and they really outdid their selves on this one. The gorgeous waterfall, fire tiki flames and fun decorations throughout. Makes this a fun place to visit and I'm sure beautiful in the evening. So Tiki Docks in Riverview is a vibe. The majority of the time they have live music and is set right off the river. Ed is a perfect server...attentive to all our needs, personable, and easy on the eyes. The Fresh Watermelon Margarita is delicious and perfect for summertime. The Puka Punch is delicious!! My favorite drink for sure but not the strongest. Lets get into these crab cakes...they are fire and the combination of flavors really set this dining experience off right! My man got the wings and said they were tender with a sweet/savory flavor. Shrimp fried rice was good and the shrimp were seasoned well. Too bad they dont have multiple hotsauce options not just Tobasco. Believe it or not the cocktail sauce is so strong it went well over the shrimp, mixed into the rice. But this cocktail sauce thoooooo. Listen hunni it is skrong, horseradish on 10 you hear me, it is definitely from scratch. Ya nose will be twitching like when you put too much wasabi on that sushi lol. It came with my Peel n Eat Steamer which included street corn.... A++. I mean they really excuted it well. The food was ok, it was very hot outside and maybe that's why my server wasn't in the best mood. I only saw a smile on her face when she handed me the check. It was a holiday and she seemed young so probably just wanted to clock out and enjoy the holiday. So I can complete understand. The burger still was just ok and was about as Hawaiian as Texas lol. I think one of the best things about this place is the ambiance and the outdoor seating. You feel transplanted into a tiki bar which has live music. What a way to start your day and have a nice lunch here with some great delicious food. I was just visiting here and my friends recommended this place. The grilled wings, corn and oysters were really tasty, fresh and hearty. We didn't make reservations to come here beforehand but we came early when they opened so we were able to sit outside. Our view was water flowing down a wall which was relaxing. The oysters are really fresh and man that grilled corn was delicious. I love wings and this place cooked them just right. So I highly recommend all of the above. The waitress we had was really nice and pleasant and helpful. Kudos to the service and to making us feel welcomed. read more

Atmosphere is amazing. Food and drinks are horrible. Service is a mix. Atmosphere: this place is a 10 out of 10. Love everything about it. Outside and inside are both great places to hang out. Love the water, the colors, the painting/artwork inside and out, waterfall. Everything looks great. It's very clean and comfortable. You can watch sports from just about anywhere inside and also at the outside bar. Appreciate that the music wasn't loud. Perfect volume to not take away from the experience. Food: tacos are terrible, very dry. Everything about them from the tortillas to the filling are horrible. Wedge salad has the worst lettuce I've ever seen at a restaurant. I wouldn't feed it to an animal. Fries were decent. Didn't risk ordering anything else but I've heard it's bad. Left early to get food elsewhere. Drinks: don't order anything that contains juice. Whatever they use must be horrible quality, ruins the drinks. The Painkiller is one of my favorite classic cocktails. Theirs is the worst I've ever had. Couldn't drink it. Other fruity drinks were awful. That being said, I thought the watermelon margarita would have been a safe bet based on the ingredients but it was drowning in lime juice, which you have to be careful with when pairing with something as mild as watermelon. Couldn't taste the watermelon at all unfortunately. Another fail. Great garnishes, but they were the only plus. Pretty much everything we've eaten and drank here was inedible and undrinkable. Very disappointing. Service: bartender inside who introduced herself as Katie was super sweet and attentive. Unfortunately we really wanted a seat outside and decided to move. The tall blonde out there with short hair had a bad attitude the whole time, made us feel unwelcome. Can't believe this place closes so early. The decor here is Disney-esque, all bright colors and beautiful lights. It's really impressive inside and out, while the parking is bigger than Walmart. Our food was just mediocre, though, and service was eager but clueless. My blackened shrimp, cod and pork belly tacos were ok, but the soft wrappers were refrigerator cold instead of grilled hot as they should be. There were a lot of chips, but only enough salsa to cover 2 of them. My friends chicken salad was extremely bland and average. The side of pork belly looked more like bacon bits from a bottle. My other friends crab cake app was more appetizing, and ample with 3 instead of the usual 2. Our young male bartender had impressive tats, but zero situational awareness. Came here on a Monday evening after driving by countless times. Seating was immediate. Ended up sitting at the corner high chair table which was the perfect spot. Our waitress, Christina, was personable and attentive to us. The care of the staff members definitely made an impression. Food was ok. The Tiki Burger was VERY salty I could only eat half of it but I did enjoy our starter: Classic Hand Battered Chicken Tenders paired with their signature Pina Colada Honey Mustard. The sauce was very tasty and I did not hesitate to dip the crinkle fries in it too. The live music starred this young man who skillfully played the steelpan. It was familiar Pop Music -Caribbean style. Felt like his music was the heart beat of the restaurant because it was not the food. We met some friends here for lunch, and it was pretty good. They have a large patio overlooking the river, and a descent inside. The service for a weekday lunch didn't seem that bad. She look short handed, but she was really good. Some food items were much better than others, but they were all good. If you like smoked fish, I recommend the smoky fish dip to start. It came with cucumbers and pork rinds. The cocktails were tasty and also very strong. We tried the fog cutter and the watermelon margarita. The watermelon on the margarita was a bit large for a garish but was sweet. I really recommend the grouper dinner. It had a lot of flavor and the mango salsa was delicious. My friend and I came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were greeted by 4 people at the counter. It was a very inviting environment and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly and personable and gave some great recommendations. We ordered a piña colada and margarita for drinks. My margarita arrived in a cup with lots of ice, maybe a little too much ice but I'm a casual, one drink type of gal so it didn't bother me. However, someone who wants to feel a little something might be bothered. My friend said her piña colada had a weird after taste but she could not put her finger on what it was. For the entree I ordered crispy shrimp and fries. My friend ordered coconut shrimp and fries. Both arrived in a paper, bucket, container type of thing. The portions were small for the price and bland tasting. My friend claimed she didn't taste any coconut in her coconut shrimp. We also ordered food to go for our husbands. The choose any three tacos and the Big-Catch-wich sandwich. Our husbands shared both needed more flavor. The tacos were over filled with toppings and very little meat and the grouper sandwich was practically tasteless. Overall, I can tell people come here for the ambiance and customer service. When you walk up to the front door there is a huge triangular wall that is a waterfall drip with fire tiki lights on all four corners. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with sliding glass walls to go between. The outdoors can get warm however they have so many fans it creates a wonderful breeze. Inside there are high ceilings with an open view of the kitchen. The colors are bright and cheery, it's very clean and well designed. It sits on the water with gorgeous views along with a boat docks so people can boat up as well, with a little sand area for children to play. Service: 5 As soon as you walk in the hostess is greeting you to ask if you'd like a table or open bar. As soon as you sit down they're are taking your drink order and going over the menu with the specials and house favorites. When I went to the ladies room, two of the waitress were in there and asked them how they like the place. They said it's great for local and people passing through. They said it can be very weather dependent which is understandable with how much of it is outside and love working there. They also gave me a few other places to try in the area. Great girls. Food: 5 The drinks are so fresh and ridiculously tasty filled with fresh fruit and sizes where 10-12 ounces. The Ahi Tuna Poke was so fresh and the combination of tuna, with the guacamole base with a little spicy sauce and freshly chopped cilantro on top of a crispy wonton large round chip was so fresh and so good I wanted to order two of them. The salads looked amazing and have options for adding a grilled or blacked protein. The chicken wings were grilled which I have not had before and a little weary of but they were amazing, crispy large and coated with a Hawaiian BBQ sauce they was unique blend of savory and sweet BBQ served with a side of veggies and dipping options. Price: 5 For the price, the portions and food it was good. Drinks, apps and wings was about $40.00 before tip. We decided to sit at the bar which was pretty big with lots of tvs. It didn't take long before they called us but we decided to stay at the bar. We had the pork nachos and pork tacos with a mango margarita and the sangria. Both were very good. It came with a lot of meat and toppings, it was a pretty good portion size. Let's start with one of my favorites coconut shrimp. Not the worst I've ever had but pretty close. Practically no flavor and then there's the crinkle cut french fries no seasoning bland very disappointing. On to the second visit. Try to dock with sandwich which was okay nothing great about it and come with the same land boring crinkle cut french fries. On to the third visit figured we would try a couple different things. Had a shrimp fried rice with pineapple just okay again disappointed the Big kahuna crab cake platter again yeah just okay. A saving Grace of this place was the excellent service we did receive and they're awesome banana bread ice cream cake which is absolutely amazing. read more

Went on a Thursday evening around 7:30p. There was an hour wait for outdoor dining. We waited because the outside patio was really nice and it was a beautiful night. The restaurant is really nice. Inside has a sports bar vibe and the outside overlooks the water. The food though.... Meh. That's the best way to describe it. Nothing was really good. The crabby wings had me super excited. Chicken wings with crab meat sprinkled on top! I thought I was going to be in heaven. The sauce has some kick to it and the crab meat was used sparingly. My main problem was that she skin on the chicken wings was soft and slimy. It wasn't an appetizing texture at all. I ordered the Alfafia tacos and paid $2.00 extra per taco for the Grouper. The flavor was actually really good. Again, my problem is that when you up-charge me $6 for grouper, I expect to be able to taste it. Each taco had one, small nugget of grouper. After 2 small bites of my taco all of the meat was gone. My friend ordered the Signature Riverview Ribs, which looked super pretty when they brought it out. However, looks can be very deceiving. They were overdone and the signature tiki glaze was horrible. They use the word "Signature" a lot with this dish on their menu and they probably should stop. Like immediately. I finally made it to Tiki Dock. I had been wanting to check it out for a few months but would always see a crowd of people waiting out front. When I checked in I was told it was an hour wait but my table was ready after only about 30 minutes. The atmosphere is really nice. They have a bunch of TVs in the middle of the bar and nice lighting. The outdoor patio area looked nice as well and had live music. The menu had a wide selection of drink options that sounded delicious. The drinks are a little pricey but pretty good. I ordered the grouper sandwich but was disappointed by the lack of flavor. It tasted like there were no seasonings used and I had to add salt, pepper and lemon. I loved the Mexican street corn! Definitely try it! Overall I would come back for just drinks and to catch a vibe. read more

However upon arrival the hostess was quite rid and seated us at a table that was empty however the bench and table top were covered in crumbs and greasy finger prints. I had to go back to her station and ask if someone could clean it. This only seemed to aggravate her. The entire restaurant area seemed dirty and unkept with food on the floors. Thankfully our waitress was very congenial and provided exception service. The drinks we ordered were very good and well balanced and the food while very good was presented very poorly. Overall a good experience but I'd say the service was the part keeping this from being five stars. Pretty cool spot, the decor is really well done. Showed up on a Saturday, tons of people waiting. Got quoted 30-45 mins. Went to the patio bar for drinks. Lots of open tables outside so we figured it would go quick. 40 mins in I went in to ask on the status and was told another 10-15 mins. Ended up waiting over an hour. I'd imagine they're understaffed just like everywhere else, but taking that into account and managing expectations (or just straight up letting guests know they're short staffed and waits are longer) would have helped. Drinks at the bar were good, decent mai tai and the watermelon margarita was tasty. Once we finally got sat it was another 10 mins or so before a server came by. We went ahead and ordered everything at once since we had plenty of time to decide between the wait and waiting on a server. I ordered the gochujang wings and the pork tacos, wife had the veggie burger (almost $5 to make it a veggie patty!? I've never seen that anywhere, usually places are pretty accommodating to dietary needs without charging guests more than a buck or two, that was a bummer. Almost nothing on the menu is vegetarian so they got you there.) my mom had the pork sandwich. The food was really good, the wings were well cooked and the pork and salsa in the tacos was delicious. Prices weren't awful, but there were some way more expensive options on the menu so it can add up, especially with drinks. All in all it's a good spot with great food and a cool vibe, but the lukewarm service and long waits detract somewhat from the experience. read more

I was so glad when I was finally able to visit here. Since the opening I've been waiting until the hype dies down a bit to check it out. They did a very good job with the usage of land and architecture. There's plenty of indoor seating and outside overlooking the river. They have two bars. One large one on the inside with overhead TVs with sports on and one outside. It looks like there could be more opportunity to utilize the grounds closer to the river. The food and drink were good (about average). The atmosphere, vibe, and music were excellent! I'm glad Riverview is picking up on adding a few places of entertainment/Night life for adults in this neighborhood. It came in a squeeze pouch! WTF!! They took taps off draft. So people assumed they were closing. People left bar, as we finished our drinks, more people showed up and were giving drink and food menus!! What is going on? For a nice place in Riverview, this may be the worst place in Riverview. I've lived in Riverview my entire life, and was really excited when I saw this restaurant being built a year or so back. The location is great and has a beautiful view of the Alafia river! The restaurant has a beautifully decorated interior and a great aesthetic. I LOVE the waterfall wall, and that they have a bar inside and outside. It's usually very packed with customers though- especially in the afternoon. Would recommend coming earlier in the day if you don't want to wait for a long time. This was my first time eating here, and I have to say, I was unfortunately very underwhelmed by the food and drinks. My burger came out very cold and really lacked in flavor. I had to cover everything in ketchup to be able to enjoy my food. They put shredded cheese on the burger too- which I thought was a little weird. My mom got the 'Fish n' Chips', and it was pretty good. (Especially if you squeeze a lemon wedge on top). I didn't find many appealing items on their menu though. I think they'd be better off with a completely new, updated menu that represents the location better. The sangria (which is premixed from a tap, like a lot of their cocktails), tasted like box wine, and I had to switch it out. However, the Puka Punch was amazing! Tastes just like fruit punch! The drinks were all about $10 though. Feel like the prices were a little high, for how mediocre most of the drinks are. Drinks come in a cute, tiki glass if you ask though! I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant, unless they change the menu up. Is it authentic tiki? No. Did that bother me? Hell no!! I enjoyed my visit and I loved the tiki theme. The food was decent and our server was friendly enough. Luckily we went around 3:00 pm, so it was basically dead. Great! We sat outside on the deck. My drink wasn't very strong but even so I enjoyed it. It was more like a slushee which was great on that hot day. Before leaving we stopped at the gift shop and I bought a cute T shirt for my husband and a soft side cooler which I got to put into use the very next day when we went to Weeki Wachi Springs. If there had been any tiki mugs or swizzle sticks available for purchase I would have bought those as well. Management please consider adding them to the gift shop! read more
