I called about an LG refrigerator I wish I had never bought, but that horse is out of the barn. I thought the cooling section was not running cool enough (the freezing section is (barely) okay). After explaining my observations, Steve explained some things about temperature variation in refrigerators and indicated it was probably doing the best it could. No repair would improve performance. He said he could come and look at it, but that would cost me a $90 service call and probably yield nothing. We discussed the situation a bit more and I decided to take his phone advice, rearrange the food in that section, and see what happens. I also told him that if ANY appliance in this house needed attention, he is the first person I will call. He has earned my loyalty and he has never put a hand on anything here! Directly, at least. I had a washer that stopped working, an error code came up that indicated broken door lock. The new door assembly would be very expensive. Otkay took apart the door and told me it was fine; that digital error codes can often be wrong when the mother board is going. The spinner basket was off balance too, so he told me to get a new one. Even recommended some good brands and suggestions where to shop. He could have charged me allot to replace door lock assembly and fix off balance basket. Super quick. Super efficient and effective communication. Let's face it. We're all busy. I don't necessarily have the luxury of stopping what I'm doing in the middle of the day or stepping away from my desk to make a call. It's much easier to respond via email or text and I suspect that's the case for most busy individuals these days. They called me ahead of time to let me know Chris was on his way to get my appliances fixed. Our Maytag washer was rockin' & rollin' even with the lightest of wash loads & our dryer has no power at all. After a quick diagnostic test, Chris has everything all figured out. It took him a couple of hours (including time he had to obtain parts) but he got our washer & dryer all fixed up! Repair cost was on par with just about any other repair network in the Valley with far better communication. Not fun paying this stuff out of pocket but still considerably less expensive than a new washer & dryer. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Appliance Works to my friends, family or fellow Yelp'ers!

They came out to look at my 48" builtin Frigidaire that quit cooling but you could still hear it…read morerunning. They said they needed to rebuild the whole closed system. I called another company for a 2nd opinion and he told me that the fridge is still under warranty for parts only. I would still pay the labor. These more expensive builtin units have better warranties than stand alone units. So I called customer service at frigidaire and they got someone out right away and ordered the parts. They explained that I will only be paying for labor to install the new parts, which will have their own warranty and I agreed. I saved about $3,000 NOT using Appliance Works. They've lost a property manager with several properties under management now.

A very simple issue…read moreturned into a catastrophe, as he ripped off a metal ring from the dryer drum and could not get the pieces back in/on. I had a fully operable dryer before he came out.... he then told me it would be $600 to fix and I told him no way. I paid the $99 service fee, which later was refunded after 2 days of back and forth. They actually defended what he did. Here are the photos. Don't trust this service. Now I have to buy a new $1000 set because he couldnt remove a simple button. Massively disappointed I chose this business.
