The water filtration system install never got finished and what was completed all LEAKED and had to be REPLACED. So much money wasted! We also were promised he and his team to complete our master shower and instead of calling saying he cannot make it he ghosted us for two days. Beyond unprofessional; at least shoot over a text and everything would've been fine. While doing our master shower he laid concrete before doing the water barrier- perhaps he doesn't know what he's doing? Sloppy work that cost us so much extra money and time & things he had done had to be re-done. The one positive is he did some dry wall work that came out good and we didn't have to re-do. Perhaps only hire for dry wall? I do not recommend. Do NOT hire this guy. Literally contact me if you need work done on anything at your home because we have a guy that is great, will also drive to you, reasonable price, communicative and quality work, everything that the owner was not.

Now, after the fact, a manager named RJ, is insisting I pay $300 for the service call instead of the agreed-upon $45. Kyle has admitted that he "misspoke" on the quote, yet they're still attempting to charge me MORE THAN SIX TIMES the price that was agreed upon. Had I known this, I never would have scheduled the service in the first place. This is shady business practice, plain and simple. I would avoid this company at all costs.

We had a leaking sprinkler head, which had caused water damage to an area of the garage. We shut off the water and had to work with a mitigation team to remove the wet dry wall and the ceiling around the sprinkler head to confirm the leak was coming from the sprinkler head itself. It was a stressful situation for someone encountering this type of a situation for the first time. Smart Fire Protection said they can come out to the house same day, which I really appreciated. The rate was higher than expected but I figured it is due to weekend pricing, and it was not unreasonable. We wanted to get the water turned back on sooner vs. waiting until Monday. Jose was professional and courteous and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I learned a lot about the sprinkler system. He replaced the sprinkler head, checked the pressure gauge, pointed out some calcifications in the pipes to keep an eye on. I manage over 25 LTR & STR properties and was hopeful that I might have found my go-to company based on the recommendations I received for AZ Maintenance. I received quotes for work to be done on 2 properties. Not a huge job ($3000) but a solid variety of tasks that allowed me to see if this is an experienced company that can do the jobs well and reliably (installing ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, weather-stripping exterior doors, tightening a few loose toilets). They said that it would take 4 days to complete our job. So I waited 3 weeks until they could scheduled us in. At the end of the 4 days, this was what was completed: 1 ceiling fan installed in a bedroom. Nothing else. 4 days to install a ceiling fan? The injury to insult was the total lack of communication from the office. Not one single email, text or phone call after I left multiple messages as to what the status of our job was. We had tenants moving in the following week so I sent an detailed email to cancel and explained what went so terribly wrong with this job. No reply. Just an invoice for the 1 ceiling fan. I found a different handyman who singlehandedly completed the entire scope of work in 2 days! without complaint or fanfare and $840 cheaper. He is now my go-to guy for all my repairs and remodeling jobs.
