Both look amazing and operate well, with a remote as well as an app you can use to manage automatic timing of up and down. Our backyard faces West so it's helpful to have the shades go down at the same time every afternoon in case we're not home to do it as it prolongs the life of our patio furniture. Brad, Garrett, and the installation team were pleasant and professional, which made our experience great. Both Brad and Garrett went above and beyond in terms of communication, responsiveness and attitude and it was a pleasure working with both of them.

I got information from Blue Sky at a home show, and when I did my research I found that the Magna Track was just the quality product I was looking for. So when we got a really bad storm all of the lattice bent from having no support and it looked awful. I probably called 10 people to get quotes. Most of them wanted to tear everything down and start fresh and the quotes that I was receiving were ridiculous price wise. Justin was my last quote and he came right alway. He said he could fix it no problem. He quoted me such a fair price AND he got it done in like 3 weeks. Yes, I said 3 weeks. I'm so glad I called because I can't imagine paying the prices I got quoted, having to wait longer to have it finished, and go through the process of demo. We were so happy with his work that we hired him again to add on another pergola. It's really hard to find someone that is quick, honest, meticulous, and fairly priced. Excellent Sales, Poor Workmanship, Ignored by the Company…read more I found AZ Shade Masters at a recent home show and was impressed with their presentation, product, and information about pergola options. I obtained bids from four firms and AZ Shade Masters provided a detailed and competitive bid for my planned 4K Aluminum pergola. Unfortunately, the installation is where things went sideways, and AZ Shade Masters ignored my concerns: 1. White caulk on the roof is visible from ground level - The installer advised "I" can fix this by painting the caulk with matching spray paint, but it may take several coats. 2. Closer inspection with a ladder revealed caulk haphazardly applied with drips left wherever they fell. 3. Frame beams were cut too short, and gaps are filled with wide beads of painted caulk. 4. Metal shavings were left in the rain gutter along with a metal scrap cut to allow water drainage. 5. Gussets of unequal length were accidentally installed requiring the correctly sized shorter gusset to be replaced to match the longer to avoid leaving exposed holes in the posts. The installers had the design plan in hand but suggested they could install my pergola however I wanted. I stressed several times they should follow the plan and was forced to correct them when they attempted to deviate (for example: eliminating gussets when they were to be included and sloping the frame beams instead of installing them level). One even suggested I was "OCD" for insisting they follow the plan. (I DID accept one of their suggestions and shortened the pergola height by six inches which was a solid recommendation). After discovering the caulk issues, I texted photos to both my salesman and the company manager. I also left voicemails and a message with the showroom. I connected with the salesman who advised some aspects of the caulking are "normal" but not all and he deferred to his manager for any remediation. I have heard nothing since from AZ Shade Masters. While the crew was personable, installation quality leaves much to be desired (the photos speak for themselves). I should note the installers have the customer sign a form that there are no concerns after installation is complete. I signed as I was largely satisfied and the pergola looks good at first glance, but closer inspection reveals issues not apparent from ground level. These issues combined with the lack of response from the company prevent me from recommending AZ Shade Masters.

At the beginning, they were very communicative and responsive, which gave me confidence in moving forward. However, once they received our money, their level of service noticeably changed. First, the project start was delayed by an extra week with no communication from their team. We had to reach out ourselves just to get an update. Second, midway through the project they contacted us about adding electricity to our built-in feature. Since the cost increase was minimal, we agreed. But when the project was completed, they told us they couldn't figure out the electrical component--and refused to refund the money we paid for that addition. Third, our front yard sprinkler valve has leaked three separate times over the past 14 months. Each time, it takes weeks to get someone out to repair it, which is incredibly frustrating. Fourth, I have left numerous voicemails, emails, and warranty requests asking to speak with a manager, and I have yet to receive any response. Lastly, during the first windstorm after installation, one of the lights was knocked over because it was not installed properly. The company refused to take responsibility for the improper installation. Overall, the lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through has been very disappointing. I would not recommend Straightline Landscaping based on our experience.

From start to finish they were always professional. We loved the design ideas that were shared and design process. We were always able to bounce ideas past them along the way. When it came to construction, they had a fantastic crew who really did great work. And if we weren't happy with something they would adjust it. The really wanted to ensure that we were thrilled with our landscape. They even fixed other work performed by the pool contractor because they knew it would be a problem and they wanted to do the right thing. Not many contractors do that. The finished product is phenomenal! We love being in our backyard and sharing it with our neighbors and friends. Also, they have a great warranty program and a dedicated warranty team to help. Since they do a lot of work for the home builders you don't have to worry if they will be around to help after the job is done. Highly recommend them for your larger landscape needs.

I had them widen my drive, replace the front sidewalk, add a sidewalk on the side, and expand the rear patio so I had more entertainment space. My daughter had them replace her front walk and patio, plus the entertainment area in the back. Both of these paver installations look great and upgrade the properties.
