This is a follow up to a review I made after we had our carpet installed in Oct 2019. First of all,…read moreI was impressed with Jay (the owner) that originally came out, very professional and thought the carpet we picked was luxurious. Shortly after we had it installed we developed issues, fraying around the tile, and seams that looked like there was dips! I sent in pictures and Sukmans seemed like this was common. (Just needed to be Re-stretched) we went back and forth 4 different times to have "carpet fixers" come out and fix the carpet etc.... Finally we were SO UNHAPPY with the carpet we addressed the owner. We had to move furniture 4 different times to have these carpet issues fixed. He gave us 2 choices. He would refund us 1/2 and we could keep the carpet. He said that after the last "carpet fixer" we could keep the carpet and we should get years of use from it or he would refund our money, but we had to find a different company to install new carpet and pretty quick. At that time the carpet looked pretty good so we took the 1/2 refund, thinking the issues were behind us. All these carpet fixes and calls took place over the following 6-8 months, to come to this offer. Within 2 months after taking the offer, carpet starts bubbling up again!! We feel that Jay should have taken this concern more seriously and looked into what really was the problem. Fast forward to today, we have hired another carpet company to replace the carpet. The salesman's came in and could not believe the install and the look of the carpet. He pulled back the carpet and the pad that was installed was not the pad we purchased. They put a pad that is used usually in rental homes, that you change out often!! We never did get paperwork, or verify that we got the carpet and pad that we purchased!! BIG lesson learned on our part!! Jay doesn't seem to know his contractors he hires to install carpet and didn't follow up to see what really was the issue. BEWARE folks and do your homework!! It's absolutely been a nightmare!! I am hoping that Sukmans reported the carpet installer to the ROC of AZ! He should never lay carpet again! For a company that has been in business for so long in the valley, we expected better service!

Excellent Sales, Poor Workmanship, Ignored by the Company…read more I found AZ Shade Masters at a recent home show and was impressed with their presentation, product, and information about pergola options. I obtained bids from four firms and AZ Shade Masters provided a detailed and competitive bid for my planned 4K Aluminum pergola. Unfortunately, the installation is where things went sideways, and AZ Shade Masters ignored my concerns: 1. White caulk on the roof is visible from ground level - The installer advised "I" can fix this by painting the caulk with matching spray paint, but it may take several coats. 2. Closer inspection with a ladder revealed caulk haphazardly applied with drips left wherever they fell. 3. Frame beams were cut too short, and gaps are filled with wide beads of painted caulk. 4. Metal shavings were left in the rain gutter along with a metal scrap cut to allow water drainage. 5. Gussets of unequal length were accidentally installed requiring the correctly sized shorter gusset to be replaced to match the longer to avoid leaving exposed holes in the posts. The installers had the design plan in hand but suggested they could install my pergola however I wanted. I stressed several times they should follow the plan and was forced to correct them when they attempted to deviate (for example: eliminating gussets when they were to be included and sloping the frame beams instead of installing them level). One even suggested I was "OCD" for insisting they follow the plan. (I DID accept one of their suggestions and shortened the pergola height by six inches which was a solid recommendation). After discovering the caulk issues, I texted photos to both my salesman and the company manager. I also left voicemails and a message with the showroom. I connected with the salesman who advised some aspects of the caulking are "normal" but not all and he deferred to his manager for any remediation. I have heard nothing since from AZ Shade Masters. While the crew was personable, installation quality leaves much to be desired (the photos speak for themselves). I should note the installers have the customer sign a form that there are no concerns after installation is complete. I signed as I was largely satisfied and the pergola looks good at first glance, but closer inspection reveals issues not apparent from ground level. These issues combined with the lack of response from the company prevent me from recommending AZ Shade Masters.

Got work done less than a year ago. Wind came with no support whatsoever. I called and asked for a quote from the insurance company but never received one, nor did they come by. But when they had not received their money for the initial installation of the product, they stayed on course. Kinda disappointed that literally I had no support or warranty after the initial install. They could have made it clear that there was no warranty on weather or nature damage. The standard industry warranty is 5 years, and now I need help; there is no support. I want everyone to BEWARE if you do business with this company. Then when they initially installed the product I had to force them to do it the way I wanted it done. The product is good quality. But the warranty, support afterwards, and customer service leave a lot to be desired. I hope this is passed on to management P.S They have blocked people from reviewing on google so what that say about them?

I had our pool deck and patio coated by Galaxy 3 years ago. About a year ago I notices that the top…read morecoating was not holding up and eventually the coating started flaking off the cement in places. We have a 15 year warranty, so I was surprised that there were obvious defects this early. I called Galaxy and was directed to Nick. I played phone tag with him for about a week. When we connected by phone, Nick set up an appointment to come and look at our concerns. Surprisingly, Nick agreed there was a problem with the UV layer/topcoat. He advised me that they should take full responsibility and replace the entire pool decking and patio coating based on his assessment. He noted that the chemical company had to change the composition of the topcoat to withstand the Arizona sun. Nick submitted the warranty work and it was approved in about a week. Nick schedules a time/date to perform the work. I am once again very happy with the results. If you decide to use Galaxy ask for Jorge's crew. The job was scheduled for 2 days. Jorge and two other gentlemen got to work and knocked it out in 1 day. It was easy to see that Jorge was very detailed and did not cut corners with the quality of work. The pool was left very clean and they vacuumed my turf and even the landscape rock around the pool. The reason we initially decided to use Galaxy was because we had a lackluster pool contractor that didn't cure our concrete properly and it cracked immediately. Approximately 50% of the pool deck concrete was replaced by order of the ROC. The other 50% was not replaced because the cracking did not fall outside the quality guidelines. Galaxy treated the cracks and filled them to improve the longterm appearance of the pool deck. I am not delusional to believe that the cracks will not eventually return, but I appreciate the process of "repairing" them. The Galaxy coating is unbelievably cool on the feet compared to just about any other surface I have encountered. We researched pavers, travertine, Kool deck, and several others before going with Galaxy. Although Galaxy is not the most reasonable or most expensive, I see the value in their product. I will have to see how the new coating withstands the Arizona summers, but for now, I am very satisfied.

After talking with a few contractors, we met with Bobby of Atelier 507 and immediately had a positive feeling about what could be accomplished. He came back quickly with a presentation that clearly fulfilled my vision for our new kitchen, and his cost estimate was right where we wanted to be. Our new kitchen included all new cabinetry, granite countertop, tile backsplash, a custom island 3x the size of the old one, plumbing and installation of lots of new lighting. I could go on and on about what a great job his crew did, but what impressed me the most was Bobby's constant follow-up and communication. He also had wise input regarding some of my initial ideas, and I'm glad I took his advice. We finally have our dream kitchen, and now that it's complete, are delighted that we can highly recommend Atelier 507 for your home remodeling needs. I would not recommend Atelier 507 to anyone, for any reason. I am writing this review because I've noticed an increase in Atelier507's advertising, and I think anyone considering this business should be aware of my family's experience. We signed a six-figure contract with Bobby in December of 2020 for our home remodel. We ultimately paid that entire contract amount, plus about 60% more. To this day, the work is not complete. Bobby abandoned the project before we were able to pass the City of Phoenix's inspection process. So, we have not been able to close out the permits with the City of Phoenix. We were initially told that our home would be finished in March of 2021. It still isn't, 18 months latter. Bobby did find another company to complete the work when we informed him of our intent to file a complaint with ROC after he abandoned the project, so I am hopeful that we will be finished with this chapter in our lives soon. It has caused a lot of stress for our family. The work that was completed required (and still requires) significant repair and "touch up" work. The work was rushed and not carefully completed. It seemed that Bobby wanted to complete the job as quickly and inexpensively (for him) as possible. Some examples: The grout and drywall in and around our primary bath shower is severely cracking. The shower tiles themselves have begun to crack. The drywall around the title is cracking. The shluter around the shower niche is sharp and sticks out from the wall. Our child's bathroom tile has similar issues. The shluter around her tub is sharp and sticks out to the point that she recently cut herself while getting into the shower. He purchased (basic, undoubtedly inexpensive, white) paint for the interior of the home without consulting us about paint color. We were told that was the color our walls would be painted, because the paint had already been purchased. The paint was thinly and sloppily applied. The kitchen layout was not well planned. We are unable to open one of our refrigerator doors. We purchased our appliances prior to the remodel; still the kitchen design was not compatible with what we'd purchased. The kitchen backsplash was installed quickly and carelessly: the grout is cracking, and the square tiles are noticeably off center above the stove. The "under cabinet lighting" was screwed into our cabinets so that the sharp end of the screws were poking through the bottom of the cabinets. Our plans included a pantry/mudroom, which had to be scrapped due to poor planning. When we finally had no choice but to move in to our home in October 2021 (despite the fact that it was unfinished), we spent my. first few days there cleaning urine, grime, and pubic hair off of our "new" toilets. We still find cigarette butts in our yard. A custom-built entertainment center was damaged. A box full of our clothing was used as a trashcan (and cigarette receptacle). There is paint splattered on our flagstone patio and pool deck. Our kitchen cabinets were full of trash. The crew left behind their garbage and extra supplies for us to clean up. We have paid Bobby every cent we owed. And when we were asked to make progress payments early to accommodate Bobby's vacations, we did. Still, when we expressed concerns, we were reminded of the fact that Bobby was "trying to run a business," that it "wasn't worth it" to him to have anyone come to our home to address issues, and that there was a "million dollar project" that was Bobby's priority. At the beginning, Bobby was professional and accommodating... that did not last. I hesitated to post a review prior to our home passing a City inspection because I just want the project finished so that our family can move on. It's been a year since we moved into a construction zone, and this process has been a nightmare. I hope that sharing our experience helps others to make an informed choice.
