I am surprised and sorry to write a poor review for this company. About a month ago, Joe Filter changed our reverse osmosis filters, on a system they had installed and that had worked well for the past three years. Soon after the change, problems began occurring--much less water came out of our tank and the tank refilled slowly. I called back and they said they could fix the issue but would charge us for it, despite the likelihood that their technician had caused the problem. I asked if the charge could be waived if this were the case and was told a supervisor would call me back. You guessed it--no one called. On the day of the service, the new technician confirmed that their previous tech had made a mistake and caused our problems. The supervisor, however, still wanted to charge us for the fix. I agreed to pay but told them that it didn't seem fair, since Joe Filter themselves admitted that our previously-fully-functional system was having issues due to their mistake. I was then told that Joe Filter was closing my account and I needed to find another company to work with. I know that shady companies exist, but I didn't expect this type of service from Joe Filter, with whom I'd previously had a good experience. I hope the company re-trains (or alternatively, lets go of) the supervisor who was working on my call and hires someone with more care for customers. Until then, I recommend that you call a different company for your needs. read more

What a great service!! I started having them Out every 3 months and so far, great experience. They changed all air filters and cleaned bathroom fans. And they do a bunch other stuff too. Re: RO System Installed. Pro: On time. Call before arrival. Safety measure taken. Con: 1. Wrong orientation of the faucet. 2. Tech told me I can drink the water immediately after the installation. Not true. The TDS meter tested 7.5. I have to have it run for 1.5 hours before it want down to 2.5 ( drinkable). 3. Less than 24 hours after installation , system leaks. No emergency number to call. It's a Sunday. System shut off. Can't use for drink water as TDS meter reads 8.5. So for the whole day till "dont' know when" it will be fixed, I can't have drinking water. Total disappointment. Doesnt matter how friendly you can be, if you didnt do a good job, you didnt do a good job. Recommendation: Absolutely NO for now. read more

Originally I was asking them for service for a week out due to my schedule, but Mitch and George (the technician) were considerate and flexible enough to squeeze in an appointment for me for just a couple hours later. George arrived quickly in the timeframe he gave me and replaced the water filter for the sink and fridge with top quality service. When I e-mailed them, they answered my e-mail almost immediately. The tech that came out was very friendly and professional looking. I had them come out because I mistakenly thought that my smoke detector needed a new battery. The tech inspected it and determined that it was hard wired only, and did not use a battery. They didn't even charge me, which was very nice of them. read more

My husband and I are too old now to get on a ladder to change our air filters which are in the 10' ceilings of our home! It's dangerous!! I'm so glad I found Joe Filter!! They come out every 3 months and change the air filters, plus any light bulbs, check smoke detector batteries, refrigerator water filter and our RO filters (all on a schedule depending on the item). Well! They were here in 10/10/2020 and here it is day before Thanksgiving and my system is leaking again. I left the company that serviced my system for many years and never, ever had a problem. After Joe Filter's very first visit I experienced nothing but leaks and woodwork damage. Now of course they tell me they can't service my system anymore because my system is old and that's why I'm having this problem....that's funny, I've never had this problem until I hired them. They are very nice, very kind, and will be patient as you yell at them, but let me tell you, if you have a reverse osmosis system I suggest you go elsewhere!!! read more

I just had my air ducts and dryer vent cleaned today by the technicians John Thompson and Mike Nichols. They called when they were on their way, showed up on time, explained everything, and even took before and after pictures of the dryer vent. They even did me a huge favor and plugged in my garage door opener, since I had just moved into my home the day before and couldn't get it plugged in. They were really nice and their prices are reasonable, much less than the other companies I got quotes from. I will use Joe Filter again and definitely recommend them. read more

Needed someone to clean my Mom's dryer vent while we were in town. The dryer was taking too long to dry clothes but was getting very hot. They were able to send out someone the same day I contacted them via Yelp. Did an excellent job, and boy was the vent clogged! No wonder the dryer wasn't working well. Our R/O unit started leaking one day and we called the company that put it in . After a service call, they told us nothing could be done except replace the whole unit for 550.00. We had just replaced the filters and the water spigot a few months before that. They said we had to replace it all. I decided to look online to see if there was someone who could repair the unit without replacing it. Found Great reviews for Joe Filter. Sent them a message and they got right back to me . We Set up an appointment for next day said service charge would be 59.00 . Jordan came out found a crack in one of the filter containers. Replaced it for 22.00 and it's been working great ever since. Wow!!! This company is amazing!!! Matt and Jordan came out to our home. They called to let us know they would be here at 9:15 and arrived on time. When they arrived they had their booties on and masks. They took before and after photos of all of the duct work. They laid out protective sheets to keep from our home getting dirty. They literally went above and beyond to ensure that our ducts were thoroughly cleaned. The before and after pictures were pretty incredible. I'm always hesitant to call service providers to my home, because almost every time one has visited, I get hit with that hidden charge or surprise additional work that needs to be done.that didn't happen here. From the initial call, I was given a 2 day window to work with as that what was available. Shortly after setting that up , I was called back to tell me that I could have them come out the same day and they worked with my availability for that day. So far so good. I was given my estimate for what I wanted and they came midway through my 2 hour window. After a brief discussion/ paperwork, he went to work (brief note, he needed another tool that was broken, replacement brought in 10 min.) after it was done, they cleaned up, presented me with my invoice and omg no hidden charges, no other work needed..etc and the cost matched the estimate $119. The technician did let me know to schedule regularly (yearly, which isn't unreasonable) & off he went. I will say that the job was performed extremely well as the next morning, I went to dry clothes in the dryer and mid cycle was greeted by the fire dept who noticed smoke coming from my roof. Turned out to be steam from the exhaust from the dryer (the setting was on low) so thankful that there are still some great service providers out there. Thanxs again.. read more

I was able to describe the problem with our Reverse Osmosis (RO) system and was told it is something they would be able to assist with. They were able to fit me in their schedule for the next day. The tech showed up right on time and diagnosed the issue. Fixed it. Answered all my questions about the system. Work was completed in about 20 mins or less all for a very reasonable price. The work, cleaning our dryer filter was done well. He showed us the hose was cracked and broken in several places. We told him to replace it. He didn't have one in his truck so my husband had to go to Home Depot and buy one. Annoying and disappointing for the amount of money spent. read more

Joe filter came out and did my monthly service. I was totally impressed with their attention to detail and their knowledge about the products in my home. How wonderful to have the batteries replaced in all 9 of my smoke alarms, 5 bags of salt added to my water softener. Vacuum cleaned out and shined up to look like new. That includes being able to see the white on the filter. 4 ac/heat filters replaced with the filter of my liking. The best part was I had a question wether they could tell if my RO system was working correctly. They had a tester with them and I had the answer in 20 seconds.
